There isn't a thing about tonight that is okay by any standards. As a rule, Dave is generally up this late, but he's used to the peace of the night and not the sounds of a lock down and a struggle and peacekeepers fucking crawling. All of it is particularly infuriating when you're kept in one place, no way of knowing whether everyone is alright beyond the people you can see. There's nothing he can do when they take Mindy and instantly he's worried. The news report, however, made it quite clear that everyone was not alright, and now Dave can't rightly say he is either.

His first instinct, once he's allowed to act on them, is to try make a quick trip to District Eight to peer around and then follows it with a trip to Three. Finally, he's slinking back into Nine with as blank an expression he can pull and absolutely no idea what to do. He's just standing in the middle of the suite wracking his brain while outwardly he looks like he's spacing out. Don't do anything stupid is a phrase that he's repeating to himself constantly, but he's listening to it less and less.

It's after Dave finally slips back into D9 that Elsa approaches him. To tell the truth, she's been waiting ever since the lockdown happened. When it did, her first instinct was to find him, but it was too late- he'd already disappeared. There's no way to describe just how terrified she is when she can't find him, all she can think is that they must have taken him away, too, but she's trying to hold onto the hope that just maybe that didn't happen.

She hangs out in the lounge of District 9, her excuse being that she can't sleep- and it's true. Even if she tried, it wouldn't be possible. She's too worried, but she doesn't have the bravery to leave the district like Dave has. All she can do is hope that Anna is doing what she's supposed to and staying put- they have no reason to punish her. Anna is okay. Dave is at way worse risk, so that's where her worry right now is focused on.

So when she finally catches movement and sees him returning, she's on him in an instant. She could give Bro Strider a run for his money with the speed in which she's tugging him into a hug. "Dave!" she hisses, trying to keep her voice down. "I was so worried- where have you been?"

District Six was not subjected to an intrusion of peacekeepers. They were locked in, but no one was taken.

So it's not even until the doors open back up that Molotov even realizes that something has happened to make everyone freak out. She'd heard, of course, about the murdered woman -- Molotov keeps track of her publicity, and they were talking about her on Panem Nightly when it was announced. And it doesn't surprise her that the 'suspects' were taken.

But this was a bit extreme.

However, she reflects, down at the bar in the wee hours of the morning (because really, who doesn't need a drink right now?), she doesn't know any of these people. They're not even people she's heard of, except maybe in passing. And so she sits with her drinks and her ashtray and a piece of toast with jelly, watching the coverage on the screens in the bar, watching the people coming down and looking for their friends, their loved ones, hoping against hope to find them.

She really hates hearing people cry. So obnoxious.

Trey can't think of anyone who doesn't need a drink, because he's heading to that bar without hesitation once he can get a chance to slip away. Two of his tributes, two. His favourite girls. They were in deep shit and Trey is capable of doing primarily fuck all, but he won't cry about it. At least, not in front of everyone. He could sob to himself in his workroom, but for now he's acting calm as he orders something "breakfasty" at the bar and waves them off when they seem confused by that order.

He glances toward Molotov and his eyes widen briefly for the striking resemblance she has to Natasha, but he quickly reels himself back to being calm.

Still, he can't help talking now that he's looked at them long enough. "Hi stranger. You here for the misery buffet?"

Mrs. Blackwood's Office, by the training room

Jennifer didn't have an explanation for any of what had happened, and being unable to contact her politician husband, she'd decided that the best place for her was likely where she could best serve the remaining Tributes. Make no mistake about it, she was horrified but what had just gone down. But beyond that, she was completely and utterly scared out of her mind.

Dejected, she sat down at her desk and began to pour over the files of the arrested Tributes and mentors. There was nothing she could do for them, not really, but she still had to try.

To say that Mariko was upset was an understatement. She had suddenly woke up in middle of night from the noise that Peacekeepers made as they stormed to their floor to drag away one of her district mates. And then she was told to stay put as the lock down began, as if seeing such violent scene happening right before her eyes wasn't enough to distraught the poor girl. The next thing she kept hearing was something about murder and suspects being taken away.

When the lock down finally ended Mariko felt like screaming again. She tried to keep herself collected and as calm as possible, knowing that others would no doubt sneer at her if she were to let out another breakdown happen. But still, the storm of fear, panic and sadness kept raging inside her, despite all her efforts. Mariko needed to talk to someone, she needed someone to comfort and calm her down (Oh, just how much she missed Nanako). Then she suddenly remembered that there was someone who claimed to be her friend, someone who wanted to help her and other tributes.

Without a second thought, Mariko hurried down to the Training Center to find the office of Tribute Care Administrator.

"Mrs. Blackwood!" She called out desperately, while knocking on the door with more force than was necessary.

Joel is, frankly, all-to-familiar with military raids. Back in the zone, back home, people who stepped too far out of line, who hung out with the wrong crowd, who broke curfew once too often or just gathered in too big a group would often find themselves dragged out of bed in the middle of the night, never to be seen or heard from again.

So when the peacekeepers descend on the Tribute Tower, it's like deja vu all over again, and Joel knows what it means. Oh, maybe not exactly - he doesn't know the crime or the specific circumstances or even whether specific people are being targeted or if it's just random. All he knows is that people are probably going to get hurt tonight, maybe even die - permanently - and he'll be damned if that happens to one of his people.

He moves fast and quiet through the tower, ducking peacekeepers wherever he sees them - his first stops are District One and District Three - Ellie and Tess, respectively, intending to find them and bring them back with him to his room. From there? Who knows. He has to find them first.

Venus waited until she had gotten a list of suspects from the television before she went looking for people and jumping to awful conclusions. She knows, at least, that most of the people close to her haven't been rounded up, but that doesn't prevent them from doing stupid things like trying to interfere with the arrests.

Ellie, Kankri, Joly - she even spares a few moments to make sure Enjolras isn't bleeding on a floor somewhere - she goes to each Suite looking for people. The elevators are still shut down, so she goes entirely by foot, kicking off her flip-flops so she can move more easily.

She runs into Joel in a stairwell and grabs him by the forearm.

"Do you have Ellie?"

District 8, open

There was a part of him that wanted to invent a device that could determine who had done it, open a portal to where they were, and have a robotic arm extend to shake the person's hand. Such a thing wasn't possible (probably) but there was still part of him that got vindictive pleasure from knowing such a cruel individual would never harm anyone else again.

Of course, there was another part of him that thought it would've been better for her to eventually be brought to trial for war crimes, because justice yada yada, and was terrified for the people that had been taken. Especially Carlos.

And Sandy. Sandy's capture made him want to put a fist through a wall.

With Carlos' capture, he tried not to think about the suffering his friend was going through. He also clamped down on his worries that Carlos might reveal his secret. That wasn't the major concern at the moment. If it happened, it happened. The well-being of those who'd been imprisoned - who were possibly getting tortured - mattered most.

All of that worry and unease was not what he projected, though. While others worried and panicked about their loved ones, he sat there on the common room couch, playing a game of Kandyland Krush on his tablet. (Or so it looked like, given it was the very discreet interface to some of his hacking programs).

The sound was turned up loud rather than muted (which was no different than his usual rudeness, really) and anytime someone near him sounded panicked or was upset, he made scoffing noises just loud enough to be obnoxious, as if he was just so put upon by people panicking around him.

They'd dragged Carlos and Susannah out of District 10 and Lyle had had to act like he didn't care. Had to act like it didn't matter that two people -- and undoubtedly others -- were being dragged away to be tortured. Act bored, like it didn't affect him at all.

It was a relief to find Brainy sitting there in the middle of everything, making noise and being obnoxious. Brainy knew what he was going through, Brainy was going through the exact same thing.

"Hey," he said, stopping next to Brainy. "Look at us, being on the right side of the law again. Wasn't expecting that."

Common area - Open

Chibi-Usa had been in the common area looking around curiously when everything started to go crazy, there was jostling, shouting, stomping and violence going on around her and all of her cries to stop or asking to be told what's happening was falling on deaf, panicked, and angry ears.

Now the initial wave of confusion is over Chibi-Usa is just standing around looking on the verge of tears, and shaking like a leaf. She hasn't wanted anyone from her world so much before in her young little life before. She doesn't know what's going on and it's only making her more scared than she already kind of was.

Sprock, that was another sprocking child. Wasn't forcing adults to kill each other over and over again bad enough for these sad excuses for sentient beings?

Lyle deliberately strolled past the girl, then turned around and walked back, and crouched down next to her. Not so close that he was invading her space of course, a strange man in black silk getting too close was probably on the "last thing she needs right now" list.

"You know, I know a princess with hair almost exactly like yours," he said conversationally. "But she doesn't style it so nicely."

Joly. District 12 Suites: Open

The broadcast had been startling enough to start with. Not that Joly's opinion of Penny had been at all positive, and frankly, he sort of wanted to buy an evening's worth of drinks for the tribute brave enough to get rid of her, but one still didn't expect to find people they sort of knew murdered in the middle of the night like that. There were going to be repercussions...

And that was when things had all gone to Hell, and he'd heard the swarming peacekeepers, particularly active on the twelfth floor, considering they'd come for three of them. He barely knew his District mates, admittedly, preferring the company of his friends, but even so, he'd passed these people on his way up or down several times by now, he sort of knew them, and he was powerless to do anything to help them now, considering the looks on the peacekeeper's faces as they'd come through, hustling people out and ordering that he stay put.

This meant he couldn't get to Courfeyrac, who had been through so much lately that this couldn't be happening, or to Maximus, who had been kind enough to put up with his terrible attempts at humor when he was still new, and, well, he found his pulse racing and his breath coming in short gasps now as he watched all of the footage that came through, seeing familiar faces on the screen as they were hustled off, and honestly, he could not think of anything to do about it yet. Not until the lockdown was resolved, at any rate.

If he could get to Enjolras and Combeferre and even Marius, they might get something of a plan between them, but now was obviously not the time to even try it. He knew that, intellectually, and that it was the right decision not to fight it, but it didn't stop him from mentally panicking all the same, and it did nothing to stop his lungs from crying out for more air than he could currently supply them with.

If only he could manage something more than waiting around until they let them go to talk with the others. Courfeyrac might never get out of this, a voice in his head supplied, and much as he willed it to shut up, he knew that that was possible, and the idea was terrible as anything had ever been.

Really, it seemed there was only one option, and that was watching everything, all of the footage, like a hawk, while doing his best to get himself back under some control. If it wasn't easy watching, he couldn't imagine what living this must be like,and so, gasping as he was, Joly still took up vigil all the same, hoping like anything that there'd been a mistake and it was going to be announced to them soon.

The screen and the news on it as she was moving past the common room, planning on testing the door again. She scowled at it and went to stomp past. She was still in her nightdress but she had taken the cord of the dressing gown she had been given and ties it around her middle, in this makeshift belt she had about eight kitchen knives.

she had a knife in her hand as well, and in the other hand she had a duck. She had found Duck whilst going to get the dressing gown cord, she was pleased that he had managed to escape being arrested with Sandy.

She glared at the man on the sofa, "They do no be knowing what they do be talking about, they do be being stupid." She told him, before walking towards the elevator.

When Tony makes his way down to the common area, his temple is bleeding and a nice bruise is forming there. In the initial commotion when peacekeepers came stomping in and started grabbing people in his district, Tony's first instinct was to try and stop them, especially when going for Sandy and Topher. His heroic attempts had got him a baton to the head and roughly knocked down, not unconscious but hit hard enough to make getting up a very uncomfortable experience, one things for certain he's missed the report on who was taken.

Once he gets to the openness of the common area he looks around, his eyes taking in who was still around, specifically Tony was looking for Thor, Steve, Natasha, even the Bucky duo. However if he happens to run into anyone else he knows, like Dave, Anna, even Hiccup, then he won't be all all put out about this.

"I'm not enjoying the familiarity of this situation."

Fun fact: Bruce doesn't like being woken up by armed soldiers barging in at three in the morning. It makes him very jumpy. The fact that they ended up dragging someone else out of their bed and into the unknown didn't make him any less jumpy.

He honestly has no idea what is going on. He barely knew what was going on before the soldiers marched in.

Understanding his situation is more important than futilely trying to fall back asleep, so he immediately goes down to the ground floor. A crowd is gathering--there were probably soldiers on the other floors, too--and Bruce feels the undercurrent of anxiety that has been plaguing him since waking up on that cot begin to rise. He presses his back against the wall and keeps the exits in sight, clasping his hands and running his thumb over his knuckles in an attempt to calm himself down.

...Until he hears a very familiar voice.

Bruce usually stays quiet in crowds, but he instinctively swings his head around, furrowing his brow. "Tony?"

As terrible as it sounds...Azula is pretty pleased.

She never knew Penny well enough to care one way or another about her. And with the way things have been going lately the Mentor of District 5 is not about to cry over spilled blood from someone she barely knew.

But most importantly...no one from her district was arrested! It was more then she could have hoped for given some of her tributes.

She realized of course they would not be as pleased. Some of them were rather fond of some of the people mentioned in the report and so she wore a stern and businesslike face as she sat in the common area early the next morning sipping her coffee and scanning her data pad in one hand while glancing up at a nearby TV every few seconds.

She would be keeping an eye out for her tributes and anyone else looking in need of an ear to talk to.

Hans has no strong feelings on the matter one way or the other. He didn't particularly like Penny but he didn't hold a grudge for her, he can imagine why she'd be murdered but it feels like it goes far beyond her and her alone. Like everything else so far, it feels like the slow loss of control. The desperation is all but tangible at this point.

It was impossible to sleep through the ruckus, but he notes that nobody has disappeared. With that aside and quick check downstairs, he remains in his room until it's a more appropriate time and slinks out into the commons and disguises a yawn under his hand.

"Morning." He greets, moving to sit nearby Azula so he can fill himself in. "They certainly keep us on our toes, don't they?"

[Open, let me know if they find her when she's furious or when she's mellowed out.

Harley had ranted and raved for hours after the arrests, so much so her throat was sore as she stormed about the tribute center in a clearly foul temper.

"What's the big idea leaving me to hold the bags on this one!" She could be heard to shout to no one in particular. The Avox's flinched away when she drew near knowing how she would be more then happy to yell her frustrations at anyone, even them.

"Both my fellow mentors? AND Susie? And look at those other names! I mean seriously who thinks that Hiccup kid could murder anything? He gave up in the last arena! And the only thing Carlos has ever killed was a perfectly good romantic relationship!"

Fuming she flopped herself down in the common area with some tea and began pouring honey into it in an attempt to save her throat. The normally chipper mentor had to drink about half of it before she could relax.

Doing her hair up in a bun and fixing glasses to her face she tried to find the calm and peaceful place where Dr. Harleen Quinzel could be found.

Bruce had finally begun to settle down, sitting on one of the plush seats and watching the exits while flipping through a history book specifically about Panem and the Hunger Games, when a screaming woman barged in and startled him enough to slam his book shut.

He blinked at her owlishly as she stormed through the room and flopped down near him, close enough so that he found himself leaning back in his chair to get further away. He considered trying to ignore her, but if they were all supposed to be on the same boat...

"Uh, would you like me to put on a kettle?" Because with all that screaming, he had no doubt that she would need more than one mug of tea and a little honey to recover. At the very least, she would lose her voice at this rate.

Bruce had been only recently taken. He got the brief explanation the Peacekeepers provided and what he could glean from reading the books he was provided when they put him into his new gilded cage. The first thing he had done was put his communicator in his bedside table and leave it there. He was sure it was tracked and probably had all manner of sensors and monitoring equipment inside, and he wasn't going to tamper with it until he had some idea of who was keeping him there.

He fell into a fitful sleep eventually. And was woken up by soldiers.

Newsflash: people who have been on the run from the military for a decade don't like being woken up by soldiers.

He was well and truly keyed-up by now and spent some time in D3, looking at the marks left behind, but eventually his anxiety and curiosity were too much and he went downstairs to see if anyone had any idea what was going on.

But Bruce didn't do well in crowds. He stayed with his back against the wall, keeping all exits visible, and nervously fidgeted with his hands as he examined all the people milling around in the confusion, trying to pick someone either familiar or alone out in the crowd to ask his questions to.

Chibi-Usa was more than a little shaken up by events and was looking and feeling very scared, looking around to see if she could find out what was going on.

That's when she saw him, up against the wall looking very at odds with the situation and maybe even a little sick? Slowly she goes to one of the counters in the lounge carefully pouring a glass of water which she then brings to the very edgy looking man, offering it to him.

"Would you like some water?"

As scared and confused as she was, Chibi-Usa just couldn't just sit there when someone else looked so out of sorts.

Orc...surprisingly was one of the few people sad to see Penny go.

Glumly he could be found at the bar, drinking himself into a fine oblivion. It had been so long since his last proper bender he had to start slower but after about an hour he was in his favorite booth gazing blearily up at the screen.

"IT'S NOT FAIR!" He roared startling everyone in the area with his booming voice before he raised a fist looking ready to bring it down on his table full of empty glasses.

He wavered and slowly lowered his fist laying it harmlessly on the table. There was a moment as all the staff let out the breath they had been holding and some brave soul scurried over to pour him another drink.

If you got close enough you could see tears streaking down his craggy features.

"Zoinks!" Shaggy cries out, because a sobbing drunk rock man is not something you see every day, even in Crystal Cove.

"Like, are you okay, dude? What happened?"

district 12, common room and kitchen area

Pruna wasn't asleep at 3am, when she had been here last time she had about got used to sleeping all night, but she was out of practice again. So she was up and practicing fighting stances in her room. Usually she would leave the room to go elsewhere but for the most part she had been avoiding the district twelve suites not wanting to run into Sandy. Sandy and her stupid leaky face. All her feelings about her where all muddled up inside her and she didn't understand them.

So she was ignoring them for now.

She heard the commotion and crept to the door to peak out into the corridor. There was a mass of peacekeepers outside, and lots of shouting. She stayed quiet and hidden watching as people were pulled out of their rooms by angry peacekeepers. She scowled as she saw the alien who had been nice to her when she first returned.

Then she saw her... Sandy... Sandy with her stupid freckles and her stupid face that leaked too easily, still in her pajamas.

She watched as her friend got shoved down the corridor and burst out of her room. Her body was moving before her brain caught up with it. She flung herself after her friend but was blocked quickly by two massive peacekeepers.

She lashed out, hands and feet trying to find pressure points. Their response was swift, pain erupted in her side and back as they hit her and she felt herself being moved and then thrown. She must have hit her head at some point because the world was all moving and swaying. But when she could sit up and see she saw she was back in her room. She ran to the door and found it locked.

It took her a good ten minutes to pick the lock and by that time the peacekeepers were gone.

She ran out into the common room, heading for the elevator. To learn that they couldn't leave. She kicked the wall and looked around. The kitchen.

She headed in and began opening draws, kitchen knives made pretty rubbish weapons but they were better than nothing.

This...honestly sounded much like they were attempting to go certain people out into the open. Though Krebs was no expert tactian, he did know and understand when somebody was trying to tease someone else out. So many others had attempted it with him in order to get him to talk. Not to mention the far more deadly occasions where the either the Germans, French and British tried to goad the rest of his friends into battle. Often with horrific consequences on all sides.

No, as much as he wished to help, he had only just arrived here, and as much as he believed what was happening was wrong; it may be best to sacrifice the few for the many. Now was not the time for heroics in his eyes, or perceived notions of heroics. This was not something for him, he was no hero, far from it. It was best if he just layed low for now and keep an ear and eye out.

No doubt there were going to be police crack downs on all of them. The tension was high enough that it was more than possible for a group to attempt something. But as stated, he would merely observe for this one.

District 10 - Gannicus? Venus?

It wasn't perfect. It wasn't the way it used to be, but it was better, since their talk. There was still the distance, Wyatt knew Max still wasn't happy, but he believed now - wanted to believe - that it wasn't his fault.

He'd made it clear that he wasn't Max's obligation. That his love didn't mean Max had to say or do or feel anything back... but the man had stayed, and that was enough for now.

Lying together, not quite asleep, he had hope again....

Until the door suddenly burst in, men in white pouring in like bees from a struck hive. Guns at the ready, grabbing at them before Wyatt's eyes had even adjusted to the lights they waved.

He didn't know what had brought them there, but he realized quickly what they were after, and he fought, struggling to get to Max - if not to free him, than at least to be taken with him - but he didn't get far. Even as he was swinging at a Peacekeeper, a pain was blooming in the back of his head and darkness was sweeping in.

Later (minutes? hours?), he stumbled into the common room, his head swimming, a dark knot raised and painful at the base of his skull.

Seeing as the District Nine and District Ten suites were only separated by a ceiling and a floor, it should have been relatively easy for Gannicus to go from one floor to another in search of Wyatt Earp, Shooter of Bullets. But it still took Gannicus a long hour to make the relatively short journey, waylaid as he was by the need to confront every single person - Tribute and Peackepeer alike - in demand of any information they had about the prisoners.

When he finally found the District Ten suites Gannicus was ten shades beyond angry. His hands, balled tightly in to fists, were mottled red and bloodied across the knuckles.

"They have your man," He said breathlessly, as if Wyatt might not even have realised.

d2, commons, open

He had been too late to help. Or so he thinks. The reality is that no matter when he'd intervened, they'd have taken his district mates, Nasir and Kevin, whether he liked it or not. His hands have been balled into fists for what feels like hours and though he yells, he does his best not to lash out too much. There are too many people at risk in doing so, and it pains him to think that they need to keep the numbers of those in harms way as low as possible.

Eventually, he'll stop brooding and find his way down to the crowds. He's searching for a lot of faces, his vikings and fellow avengers and some of the people he's adopted into his family. Loki is a name that rings in his mind, given his penchant for mischief. When he recognises a person, he'll reach out and grab their shoulder to pull them toward him just to confirm. Otherwise, he's searching for people who look particularly broken down and consoling them.

Sif is still trying to figure out what in the name of Odin is going on, and when the peacekeepers came barging in to make their arrests, she had to look on in frustration because what could she do? Fight them, perhaps, and make a big mess but to what end? She has no allies here, she does not know who to trust or what is even the right thing to do.

She thinks that surely she must be imagining things when she hears a familiar voice yelling somewhere, and yet she cannot help that she starts searching for him.

She isn't entirely sure what she feels when at last she catches sight of him. There is joy and relief intense enough to make her knees feel weak, there is rage at the thought that he too has been brought to this place, that he has been put through the same thing she has been told she is going be.

There is also pain. A deep ache in her heart that has no voice because she will not let it. Thor is no longer her future king. Thor has left Asgard.

He has left her.

"Thor?"

She calls out, not sure if she is hoping for confirmation that it truly is him, or to find that she was only turning a stranger into a beloved friend.

Stephen | D6 and Commons | OPEN

Initially, Stephen sticks around the D6 rooms. He's trying to keep the Six Tributes calm and informed about the situation. He is afraid but doing his damnedest not to show it; he is afraid for the Tributes who were taken, and for the backlash against the Tributes who were not.

He is also afraid now that he knows for sure that Tributes are capable of pulling off a high-security assassination.

But the last thing any of his Tributes need is to incriminate themselves. Preventing that is his top priority.

It's only the next morning that he's out and about in the common area of the Tribute Center, nursing a cup of coffee and staring out through bleary, tired eyes.

Clementine chews her lip nervously as she leaves her room for the living area of the suite. The chaos has passed D6 by, no one here has been targeted... so far. It's hard not to be scared though, hard not to worry that at any moment it would be their door opening and the peacekeepers coming to drag one of their number away for...

She knows what they do to people. She knows that they torture people, that they sometimes make people into avoxes. That's just for talking out of turn, for murder though? Clementine can't believe anything less than a death penalty would happen for whoever they convict.

Max was pissed. No, she was more than pissed. Max was ready to explode. She knew how this worked (thank you Pulse) and it was never good for anyone. As much as she had wanted to tear at the Peacekeepers that marched into their suites, she knew that her reaction could only make things worse for Courfeyrac. This place made her as normal as, well, everyone else. While she was sure she could take down those that entered her own District suites, she had no idea how many more waited throughout the Tower. Lesson One: Know Your Odds.

Now that the troops had vanished, Max made her way through the Tower, counting who was missing. It wasn't too hard to recall faces, but there were also new people and people who never came back after the last Arena.

She hated the Capitol.

She hated herself too.

They had been locked inside during the arrests. Shouting and screams could be heard from outside, but for the most part, district 6's suites remained on lock down where no arrests had been made. Astrid had only been there for a few days, worry and confusion overtaking her, wondering if this had been something routine around here. But seeing the panic from the other tributes, she realized something had gone wrong.

It's when she sees some sort of presentation of the television, some sort of news cast they call it, that she hears a list of people that had been arrested, most of them names she was unfamiliar with. But there's one that stands out that she knows couldn't be someone else of the same name.

Hiccup. There's a frantic shake of her head when she hears it. She had only been there three days, how could something have happened to him already? But more importantly what was going to happen to him?

"No, no, no. They didn't--they couldn't--"

She tries to rush to leave to somehow get to him, but she's trapped throughout the night, panting as she rushes about the floor, panicked in not being about to get out. She needed to rush out and save him, but no matter how much she looked, there was nowhere to go.

It isn't until the next morning that she's able to get back on the elevators in which she immediately goes on to find Ruffnut. She hadn't heard the girl's name in the list, so she assumes she hadn't been arrested. But Hiccup's in trouble and there wasn't any time to waste. Though with her lack of knowledge of how things worked around here, she'd need some help if she was going to figure out how to get him back.

Ruffnut may not have always been all there in her mind all the time, but Astrid knows she cares about Hiccup. She'd probably be the only one she could rely on in this situation.

"Astrid. Astrid!" Stephen calls, trying to get her attention, holding his hands up in a gesture of stop. His voice is firm but not angry.

"You can't help him right now."

Sirius was used to hearing of people being rounded up in the night and arrested. It was a good way for the Ministry to take suspected Death Eaters by surprise. But it wasn't like this. This was chaos.

Sirius was out early, trying to find out what had happened and once he'd pieced together what he could, he gave up on trying to sleep and instead sat at the bar, drinking slowly, looking to see if anyone needed comfort. Not that he believed he could provide much.

For all appearances, Bucky is sitting at the bar of the commons, drinking away his woes. His shoulders are slumped, and he's huddled over a glass--which is never too far from full.

Observe him for very long, though, and one might begin to notice that the reason the glass stays mostly full is that he's not actually drinking much most of the time, and when he does ask for a refill it's nothing strong. And despite the haunted look in them, his eyes are alert.

He's watching the chaos. He's trying to determine what to do. There's no question of letting himself wallow in fear or despair. Not when so many innocent people are at stake. Not when Natasha, innocent or not, is in danger.

He thinks that as he approaches James Barnes at the bar, slow and without trying to hide his steps, actually thinking not to hide them when that is so much second nature to him. This man has slotted into a position of what might be respect for their various encounters with each other and their shared relationship with Steve Rogers. He knows that he and the Widow are close in some way and... the Widow is also someone who has put herself into the circle of people the Soldier responded to.

It prompts this response in him, to come closer to a man he's wary of in some ways. To be honest, he's not entirely sure what he's doing as he does and what the response will be. If he's dismissed he will leave but he's made it his priority to scout out the situation and check on those he, or Steve, has some connection with, whatever that is.

Everyone else seems to be running amok, worried, some maybe even shaking and crying. The poor things. The news, for those who care, is grim. However, Eridan seems utterly unaffected. Or, perhaps, just affected in a different way. Honestly, he's amused by the whole thing. Pretty chuffed at it all. And while others may be scurrying about, weeping, worried, and what have you, he's simply people watching, drinking in the reactions, and flat out enjoying himself.

He hasn't been here long enough to really worry all that much, and the lock down doesn't ruffle his fins either. He's entirely entertained by all of this. And perhaps his good mood is spawning primarily from one or two of the captured suspects. Terezi is a good one to put behind bars, for all she's an annoying landbitch, and then there's Rose. A name he hasn't had the displeasure of hearing in a while. Somehow it's fitting that a worthless human like her would be taken. How amusing.

All in all it's a pretty good time for the sea dweller, that weird add that showed during the new, with his fins zoomed in on, aside. So he'll be around District eleven, and elsewhere when able. Honestly, he's really just trying to eavesdrop on people's conversations for the most part, see what deets he might pick up in passing, while looking like a smug asshole.

He loves drama, and tonight he's been handed an all you can eat buffet of it, and he's utterly famished.

Despite what a long night it has been so far, Dave hasn't been able to wind down at all. He's touched base with as many people as he could, but Rose and Terezi are absolutely gone and nobody is confident they'll be safe. He's about as tense as he's ever been here, its one thing for him to die, its another thing for them to take two of his people away with no warning and no real idea of what's in store.

So basically when he runs his eyes around the room and sees Eridan looking smug, he can't help sidling a little closer with a very forced air of calm around him all the while.

"You might wanna wipe that look off your face, Ariel." He suggests in a low voice, insinuating that anyone could take offense to it.

To say that Sonja was livid was an understatement. To arrest all of those people, some of whom were children, was unacceptable. Even more so for a slight that most likely none of them had anything to do with. If these idiots wished to begin something, then the red headed warrior was more than happy to go through with it.

Now she just had to gather a small force of trustworthy people. There was most likely not going to be any shortage for a rescue team either. Sonja was rather certain that she was not the only one who was livid by such a blatant excuse to arrest and torture others. Who knows, perhaps with this, a new rebellion shall start. One that would prove far more successful than the last.

Or so she hoped. Either way there needed to be the backing of others in order for everything to work. But by the end of the end of the day, Sonja swore one thing would occur. "By Mitra, there shall be blood."

Black-eyed and bloodied, Albert finally retires back to District 3 to lick his wounds. After trying to stand in the way of the peacekeepers sent to collect Terezi and failing to protect her, he'd gone to Jennifer in the small hope that she would give him information and the even smaller hope of being able to do something. He'd returned devoid of both and slammed the door so hard on his return that it nearly jumped from its hinges.

A moment later he changes his mind and slams it back open, going down a floor while his rage is still kindling to see if Jet had any comfort or insight.

The way the peacekeepers had busted in and taken people had unnerved him and set him on edge. He wanted to fight back, to punch them in the face for even acting like that, but they hadn't gone for Felicity so that had kept him from doing anything more than digging his nails into his palms and pacing like a caged dog.

He was still pacing in the middle of the commons by the time Albert stepped off the elevator looking like shit. Jet was instantly in panic mode for the seconds it took him to cross to his fiance. The moment his hands were on the other man, he felt a little less panicky and a lot more mad. They hadn't tried to take Albert, but if they had...

"What the hell happened to you?"

Jet instantly moved to pull his partner's head to his chest as his arms encasing Albert protectively.

Trey - D8, Commons

[Trey had a feeling something was coming up. He'd barely recovered from how disgusted and horrified he felt over the destruction of District Three and the torture of several colleagues and associates broadcasted for everyone to see. He was dumb to relax and he was dumb to let himself get close to his tributes, because he can't even begin to describe how much it pained him to see them take Natasha and Rose.

Somehow, he's keeping it together a little better this time. He'd tried to debate with a peacekeeper, but he was privileged enough to get a rough shove back and nothing more. He's feeling pretty weak for having absolutely nothing to offer at a time like this, but he's ghosting around looking nothing more than tired and unimpressed.

In his district suites, he'll try to console his tributes and get them off to bed or at least keep them somewhere safe, so eventually he's heading down to the commons to check the damage and see if he can find a stray tribute of his around. Hell, what he really needs is a drink, and he'll make a beeline for the bar before he's cycling around looking pretty unrecognizable out of drag. Ain't like he sleeps in the shit, though. If he catches one of his tributes or someone he knows, he'll be making a beeline for them. He so badly needs to commiserate on the fact that this is getting more and more fucked up, this isn't right and finally up with this he will not put.

[Trey will see Stephen, either late at night or early in the morning, down in the commons, sipping a cup of coffee. Stephen has a tablet on his lap, and it isn't hard to guess that he's going through news reports.

The common area is still very busy, very loud, and Stephen doesn't notice Trey until Trey is practically on top of him. Then Trey gets a double-take.]
