"Sure you could say that." She smiled warmly flopping back into her seat and wriggling to get comfy. "Except we never met face to face or spoke to one another. In fact you probably didn't know I existed." She giggled, delighted by her own sense of humor.

"I just saw you on the replays of the arenas. You pitched yourself down a deep hole and before you landed this big bad green guy appeared. It was pretty impressive even by my standards.

"I... see..." He really didn't know how to respond to that. He couldn't keep from fidgeting and started running his fingers against his knuckles in an attempt to release some nervous energy. "So... you saw the big guy."

He leaned back into the couch, wishing he hadn't said anything at all. "Well, it's nice to meet you. For the first time, I guess?"

"Me, the Capitol and all the districts." She explained cheerfully, apparently not taking note of his nerves...or not caring.

"Sure seems that way! It really is kind of amazing the kind of power they have here right? All of this technology at their disposal right? And yet not too long ago we almost lost the whole city to some old fashioned plague."

"To a plague?" That was more a topic he wanted to talk about than the possibility that everyone knew what he was. He didn't know how well he could handle that. "What do you mean, we almost lost the city to a plague?"

"Tuberculosis." She clarified "And some other stuff. It's fine now but...alright so a while ago the Capitol brought in people we cared about to visit us. It was a special treat! But some of those people brought germs with them that the Capitol hasn't had to deal with in so long they had no idea how to deal with it. They got a bunch of scientists together and diagnosed it, but not before it killed some people."
