[open] CATCH ALL

Who| ALL Y'ALL it's a ho down
What| A catch-all reaction log for the plot developments. Saves you from making 5 logs each tbh.
Where| All around the place
When| During and post lock down, 3am~ sunday onward
WARNINGS| Panicking, talk of murder and violence. Singing the songs of panem.

When things like THIS and THIS are going down it's probably a good time to touch base with one another. Face caressing, crying and meaningful stares abound as the Tributes and Staff drag their knuckles hopelessly in an effort to figure out what the fresh hell is going on.

Make your own prompts, feel free to make them closed to specific people.

Orc...surprisingly was one of the few people sad to see Penny go.

Glumly he could be found at the bar, drinking himself into a fine oblivion. It had been so long since his last proper bender he had to start slower but after about an hour he was in his favorite booth gazing blearily up at the screen.

"IT'S NOT FAIR!" He roared startling everyone in the area with his booming voice before he raised a fist looking ready to bring it down on his table full of empty glasses.

He wavered and slowly lowered his fist laying it harmlessly on the table. There was a moment as all the staff let out the breath they had been holding and some brave soul scurried over to pour him another drink.

If you got close enough you could see tears streaking down his craggy features.

"Zoinks!" Shaggy cries out, because a sobbing drunk rock man is not something you see every day, even in Crystal Cove.

"Like, are you okay, dude? What happened?"

Orc looked up from his table with blurry, unfocused, beady little eyes and for a moment he thought he saw a cartoon character from his childhood. Whatever was in these drinks must be getting to him.

"That woman." He rasped as he tried to collect his thoughts. "She was the only one who knew how to turn me human again. And now she's dead."

"Oh," says Shaggy. He pats the rock man's shoulder gingerly. "Like, maybe she left some notes about it? But, like, I'm sorry she's dead." Maybe not a lot sorry, because Penny had been really scary, but she'd also been a person and that was enough to be a little sorry.

He heaved a sigh that brought his massive body to rise and fall like a mountain that could breath.

"She was an awful, horrible person. She made people hurt in ways that the devil himself couldn't imagine." Orc had been on the receiving end of that sort of pain.

"But she did at least one good thing with her life. Even if she didn't mean to. So does that make her a better person? Or does it make me a worse person for being so selfish to want her alive just for me?"

"Like, I'm not good with this stuff," Shaggy says, still patting the rock man, "but, like, I don't think wanting a dead person to be alive makes you a bad person. Even if she was awful and scary."

Orc offered what might have been a comforted sort of smile...but on his craggy features it lost some of the appeal.

"I hope not. I've done some awful things. But I don't want to be a bad person anymore you know? I try really hard not to be."

Shaggy keeps patting anyway. Even if it was an ugly smile, it was good he could make the rock man smile. "Like, I think that's, like, the important thing. Like, the trying." Pat, pat, pat, pat. "Like, I'm going to help solve the mystery of how she died. Does that, like, make it any better?"
paidinbeer: (what's that?)

Orc's body stiffened at the idea and blinked slowly trying to roll it around in his head.

"You can really do that?" He had just assumed if the Capitol hadn't figured it out yet there had to be something bigger going on.

"Like, yeah!" Shaggy says. "Me and the gang back home used to solve mysteries all the time when the sheriff wouldn't." Mostly because solving them took away another tourist attractions.

Orc nodded, so willing to accept that the problem could be solved that easily.

"Yeah...yeah if you can do that...I'll do anything to make it up to you." He promised as his watery black eyes scanned Shaggy's face committing it to memory.

"You're a good person. Too good for this place."

Like, aren't we all? Shaggy wants to say, but then he remembers that mean bug girl and also whoever killed the scary lady and then he concludes that actually there probably are people who aren't too good for this stuff. "Like, thanks, man."
