Certainly it was weird. He ain't all saying he's suddenly all about liking this motherfucker now. But he had a deal with Terezi, and more than that, they had something mutual what was all being her. Ex-matesprit or whatever the fuck, seems as they still got on being terms solid. If Dave ain't fucking around, but he'll reserve that for when it gets seeming relevent.

Brother's better hiding fear than most. But he knows every sign there is and he knows when he sees it. He knows far worse things what could get gotten all being done. But he ain't want for so much as a toe-stubbing done by her.

"I dunno what they want, but getting cooperation out of a tower full of people scared of being snatched out of their snuggies is gonna be a feat if I ever saw one." He hasn't quite outed himself as a rebel, but he's fairly certain his attachment to his sister and Terezi has become more than apparent right now. If they're testing people by taking the people dearest to them and fucking around with them, he'll just have to let them know that shit doesn't fly.

Still, when Initiate asks for a clear answer, he can't express it with words. He nods, shooting him a subtle thumbs up in lieu of saying it out loud. "Family business." He answers vaguely, finally.

He snorts, first for the thumbs up, then what he says, which has him raising brows. Humans did that, of course, differently. But...

"To family, then," He says, actually managing a smirk as he nods back. Because ultimately, that's what she was. That's what his people were.

It's a scary laugh to bear witness to, Dave can't help taking just a slight step back before he realises it's a good thing. Laugh too, Dave. This is a bonding moment, they can laugh together. He forces out a short laugh of his own and he isn't surprised to find it makes him no more comfortable.

"I'm trusting you with this one, big top." He taps two fingers to his forehead in a mock salute and takes a step back. "Catch you on the flipside, right? Don't smash anything, it ain't gonna help a thing."

"SIDES BEING MOTHERFUCKING FLIPPED TURNED THEN, SHADES," He returns. He still ain't sure about this motherfucker, but he can't be being put such trivialities aside.

He grins with all teeth and fangs, rows and rows. "Refrain from only that what ain't need smashing, motherfucker."
