[open] CATCH ALL
Who| ALL Y'ALL it's a ho down
What| A catch-all reaction log for the plot developments. Saves you from making 5 logs each tbh.
Where| All around the place
When| During and post lock down, 3am~ sunday onward
WARNINGS| Panicking, talk of murder and violence. Singing the songs of panem.
When things like THIS and THIS are going down it's probably a good time to touch base with one another. Face caressing, crying and meaningful stares abound as the Tributes and Staff drag their knuckles hopelessly in an effort to figure out what the fresh hell is going on.
Make your own prompts, feel free to make them closed to specific people.

District 10 - Gannicus? Venus?
He'd made it clear that he wasn't Max's obligation. That his love didn't mean Max had to say or do or feel anything back... but the man had stayed, and that was enough for now.
Lying together, not quite asleep, he had hope again....
Until the door suddenly burst in, men in white pouring in like bees from a struck hive. Guns at the ready, grabbing at them before Wyatt's eyes had even adjusted to the lights they waved.
He didn't know what had brought them there, but he realized quickly what they were after, and he fought, struggling to get to Max - if not to free him, than at least to be taken with him - but he didn't get far. Even as he was swinging at a Peacekeeper, a pain was blooming in the back of his head and darkness was sweeping in.
Later (minutes? hours?), he stumbled into the common room, his head swimming, a dark knot raised and painful at the base of his skull.

When he finally found the District Ten suites Gannicus was ten shades beyond angry. His hands, balled tightly in to fists, were mottled red and bloodied across the knuckles.
"They have your man," He said breathlessly, as if Wyatt might not even have realised.
no subject
As he took in Gannicus, wavering uncertainly on his feet as the room swam, pointing vaguely to the egg on the back of his head.
"I noticed," he murmured, blinking and trying to shake off the haze. He needed to focus. "Have they said why yet?"
That the man was here, didn't faze him. He hadn't gotten as far to the see the full list yet, so he merely assumed the man was here because of Max too. But that said, if he was here, where was....
"Where's Nasir?"
no subject
"A Roman woman lies dead, and all that were stolen have been branded potential criminal..."
That was a slip of the tongue - she had been a Capitol woman, not Roman - but it was all the same to Gannicus now.
"Do not ask where they are taken to, I have no fucking notion."
no subject
His first thought was Snow's daughter. That slick, redheaded bitch who turned up whenever there was bad news to be given.
Ariadne's execution. The surprise arenas.
Funnily enough, it never entered his mind to wonder if Max, or Nasir, were actually responsible. It simply didn't matter.
What mattered was that she was important, and if they believed Max had done it....
no subject
Shaking his head, he forced himself to focus again. He had only been in the Capitol a short while compared to most of the Tributes; that Penny had been important was clear, but what she actually did Gannicus had no idea.
"The woman possessed two names - one does not stick to memory, but some named her Penny."
no subject
Wyatt had never encountered the woman up close, but he still knew her well enough by reputation. Knew she ran in the same circle as the other.
It wasn't worse, but it certainly wasn't better.
"Son of'a bitch," he sighed. "Penny's a Peacekeeper. A high rankin' one. Whenever the Capitol wants to punish somebody, they send 'em to her."
no subject
Or at least, surely would have told Gannicus his plan...
Gannicus grimaced and shook his head. "Then they are condemned men. Nasir is no fool, but he will not break kind words if pressed to speak of her death."
no subject
Wyatt leaned a hand on the mantle of the fireplace, the wind suddenly taken from him again. Not from an outside blow, but from within as his gut dropping away.
"If the Captiol's determined to place the blame, they won't jus' kill 'em, they'll make an example out of 'em."
He thought of Ariadne again, twitching and jerking on the screens, dying at Penny's hands.
no subject
Facing death in the arena was one thing but what Wyatt was implying was another. Gannicus would not let a brother fall to such an ignoble, glorious end for a crime that Gannicus isn't even entirely sure he has committed.
"They will try," He replied darkly, before promptly turning on his heel and heading for the door.
no subject
They wouldn't get through the front door and Max would still right where the Capitol wanted him.
"Gannicus." He called the man's name, paused, a moment's hesitation for the man he barely knew, then pressed on. "Don't do nothin' foolish. ...Think it through. Have a drink."
no subject
"Many an impossible deed has been born of my foolishness before now," He replied, suddenly all confidence and blackly cavalier laughter. "I need only one more."
no subject
"Maybe," he allowed after a beat, exhaling a long beat through his nose. "But if yer wrong, who's gunna help me when I give it a go?"
no subject
"If I am proved wrong then I hope I am dead enough to not feel the sting of it."
For a moment Gannicus looked like he would say something else - then he visibly backtracked and shook his head in frustration. The memory of Nasir's warnings that they were being watched - and listened to - at even the most impossible moments through mysterious means weighed heavily in the back of his mind. He turned serious.
"I leave to find more information. We will share words again," he promised.

Re: District 10 - Gannicus? Venus?
And so it does. Her chest tightens while her guts go loose with that sick combination of fear and relief at the list of the suspects.
Ellie, Kankri...they're safe. That the kids she watches are alright makes the knot in her stomach go lax a little. But Courfeyrac and Maximus were taken, and as such she finds it difficult to breathe for a moment.
She goes and finds Joel first, and after that she goes looking for Wyatt. She finds him in the common area, looking bleary-eyed and stunned.
"You fought back, didn't you?"
no subject
Tried to come up with a plan.
He didn't even notice Venus had entered until she spoke.
"They came for one'a yers in the middle of the night, pull 'em from yer arms--" he murmured roughly, hand falling away as he blinked at her. "You jus' gunna watch?"
no subject
She goes and leans next to the fireplace with Wyatt, then takes the hand he isn't using to ease the hurt in his wound. She twists his forearm upwards gently, so his wrist is exposed, and she writes on it with her finger while she talks.
ILL HELP U
"They wanted to get people all at once to make a statement. They won't kill him tonight."
no subject
Make them all watch. Just like with Ariadne.
no subject
"Ellie's okay. So that's one down, in terms of people we care about. But they have Courfeyrac in there too." He'll remember the man, the one who let them run ahead in the fire that past Arena.
no subject
"They took Susannah too," he said, gesturing back over his shoulder toward the hallway to the rooms where her door still stood opening, hanging drunkenly on its hinges. "An' Nasir."
He didn't know if those names meant anything to her, but even if they didn't, it just added to the crimes lying at the Capitol's feet. It was the principal.
He looked at her, a steady, dark stare, and squeezed back, slowly, but firmly.
We gotta do somethin'.
no subject
Seems like so long ago.
"You look like you could use a drink, honey. Speakeasy?"
no subject
That anything would - could - dissuade him from getting his lover back, safe and sound.
He knew that was the way it had be done, secretly, carefully, but it still felt wrong.
"When they let us out," he nodded. "I don't want'a see none of 'em. I don't want'a have to play nice with any of 'em. Jus'... you an' me, while we wait this out."
Just him and her and Elias, in a private room, coming up with a plan to get Max, and the others, back.
no subject
"We'll wait this out. I'll make sure you don't do anything stupid, sheriff." She'll troubleshoot his plan and make sure that when they do something stupid, it'll be as airtight as they can get it.
no subject
"I'll need to get that dumb mutt'a his, in the mean time," he murmured. "We'll need to keep it from doin' anythin' dumb too."
It had been made to follow Max, to listen to him. He suspected it had been told 'no' often enough to keep from eating him, at least for now, but if it got an idea in it's head.
no subject
Probably because she supplied the teddy bear that it ripped to fluff and ribbons.
She keeps Wyatt's hand tight as she walks with him, as they head towards the District Three room where Ferox is kept.
