The Victor is...
Who| EVERYONE. IC participation is mandatory (OOC is not, you may handwave)
What| Momoko's victory crowning
Where| The ball room
When| The Wednesday before the next arena.
Warnings/Notes| None atm.
The party was styled for Momoko.
The tables were covered in lace, delicate dishes and silverware, flowers that fell from vases covered in Victorian paintings. It was the most extravagant tea party to ever be thrown, with tiny, thin china cups and a too many tiny little finger foods being passed around to count. The ballroom has been styled in extravagant Baroque, as the Capitol was fairly liberal with their adaption of historical time periods.
The costumes were just as liberally chosen, from tall, powdered wigs holding birdcages with live birds, clearly hailing in the style of Marie Antoinette to regency gowns gathered under daringly (and occasionally outright) exposed busts to tight corsets and the skeletons of skirts exposed and decorated. A quarter played live music at one end of the room, before a wide dance floor.
At the head of the room there was a long table with a throne for Momoko, as elaborate as anything else in the room. And along the long table, group close to those who they seemed to enjoy, was a place for many of the Tributes, with a small place card that said "Special guest of The Capitol." This table was fed first, received drinks first, and was clearly favored.
Any Tributes not seated at the long table with their peers were dispersed among the the smaller table spread about the room, left to rub elbows with the guests invited from the Capitol, and the reporters covering the event. Security was, if anything, tighter than the last crowning.
These people have seats a the big kids table. You guys are free to decide who sits by who (And if three people sit by one person, don't worry too much about it) but they are, when possible set by their friends:

BIG TABLE

The costume isn't really his preferred style, but at least he finds himself at Cinna's mercy and not someone else. Looking around the room, it's something he's maybe a little bit thankful for.
Still, he looks handsome his molten gold and red waistcoat, and pinstriped Victorian-inspired tailcoat. The cravat and top hat seem a bit over the top, but this is Panem and so... yeah, it's also to be expected by now.
He knows most of the others up here. Some more than others. Tolerates some of them well enough. Not exactly a fan of a few.
Oh boy... this is going to be fun.

I think he sat down next to Stark unless he got booted. Other side's open?
"I can get used to parties looking like this." Much better than those raves. The class and style was almost like something from back home as opposed to post nuclear future holding dimension, and it brought on a nice feeling of familiarity.
He was more than glad to try and mingle with the other tributes at the long table. He doubted any of them were there by accident.
Next to Lottie and Atticus
He sat the table next to Lottie and Atticus. Relieved that he was near people he liked. He got the impression that most people in the Capitol enjoyed seeing him next to Atticus, their shocking similarities complimented each other way too well, though there was a part of him that also thought they enjoyed the irony of Atticus's face twin covered in silver. At least it wasn't real silver, he though, he'd hate for the werewolf to be allergic to him (if that silver myth was even real).

The witch had tried her best to avoid drinking but found herself sipping more and more as the evening went on and she had to deal with sponsors trying to put their arms around her shoulders or waist or being close to her. She hated it.
Who wants to sit next to Wesker? :D :D :D
(It probably had something to do with the fact that he had conditioned his stylist to fear him and so had had more say in the outcome of the sleek, black and red ensemble than a tribute should have.)
Regally, he reclined in his seat, gloved hands resting idly at the end of the arm rests. Beneath his sunglasses, his eyes slipped left and right as the table slowly filled, wondering bemusedly who his neighbors might be.

Parker: dinner companions open
It's so short, that should her posture slip, it's likely there will be an unfortunate incident. Then again, Parker's not modest though it never occurs to her that her stylist may have noticed.
Re: BIG TABLE
What Chibi-Usa wasn't used to, on the other hand, was pomade. Which was applied to her, uh, hair liberally in some places, and nowhere in others. The result is a Charlie Brown-esque pink-and-white squiggle stripe pattern in her hair. Which looked utterly ridiculous when coupled with the violin and harp and feather...collage...thing the Stylist decided to attach to her hair.
She looked ridiculous and she knew it. But she knew how to behave at a dinner party - what princess didn't? - and so she is politely sipping her tea, looking as disinterested and nonplussed as humanly possible.

Re: BIG TABLE
Blaine is on one side, other side is free
And he really couldn't get used to having someone dress him. He was all in ambers and oranges tonight, highlighting the eye color he usually tried to disguise as much as possible. He fidgets a little in his seat, occasionally running fingers through his curls or pushing his glasses (which he'd finally gotten the okay to wear again) up his nose.

Finding his table though hadn't been that hard. And really all he wanted to do was disappear. This crowning bit... Was sicker than the games in a way, more twisted, just showing the others in the arena that they failed to win their freedom right? Though in this place... The arena's at least more sane. I can understand fights, politics... that was more Wesker's thing. He did glance up to the big table glaring at Wesker a moment.

Holiday was donned in a long, dark green, frilly dress. It had some golden accents with a lot of lace and folds and those stupid long sleeves that's probably going to get into her food. Her hair was even up on top of her head in a Victorian style way... All of her hair. It was even peppered with little gold flowers. And her makeup made her look like a glowing gem and she hated it.
The worst of all was the huge bust this dress gave her. The extremely low neck line did not go unnoticed. Yes, it had crossed her thoughts that sex appeal may be able to help her win over sponsors, but a huge rack won't save her from someone like Aunamee.
So, she just stayed at one of the tables in silence. She wasn't going to act like she hated it, but she wasn't planning on mingling too much. Aside from the color on this thing, she was not a fan of this entire deal.

She sat at her table and watched the things going on around her, curious about the people who were forced into this situation and even more so about the ones who belonged her. The citizens of the Capitol were fascinating in a way. Mostly because she wasn't entirely sure what to make of them just yet.

He'd hoped to sit beside Lottie, but she'd been invited to the top table and he had not. So he did not look forward to awkward conversations about food with whomever he wound up beside.

At least he was until someone's bird escaped and decided to use his shoulder as a toilet. Ian made a face at it, waved it off and tried to wipe the stain off with a napkin.
Re: SMALL TABLES
The way people were surrounding Don, one could be forgiven in thinking Don was at the small tables by mistake. There were half a dozen reporters who wanted to talk to him, some who asked him about the seeming snub of not being able to sit next to
his totally obvious girlfriend at the moment!Momoko at the crowning table. On his part, Don managed to shrug it off and smile. Not everyone can fit at the big table, after all. But deep down he had the feeling he knew why he wasn't there.
Finally, after some time, he got some breathing room, and he managed to get up to walk around. Shell, what a night.

SIDE LINES
Re: SIDE LINES
She was dressed in a rich green regency dress. A very low cut one. Very low cut. The lace around the bust kept her from having a wardrobe malfunction only if she didn't move. Or breath.
Although she supposed as that was intentional it didn't really count as a malfunction.
Right now she was lurking near the wall, trying to get enough alcohol in her that she didn't care about the whole damn world seeing her tits. She wasn't modest, there wasn't a modest bone in her body...but someone else exposing her like this?
Shit was screwed up.
((The style of her gown is similar tothis.))

MEN'S ROOM
Re: MEN'S ROOM
Excusing himself from his dear table companions, Lindsey circled around to the well tended washrooms where avoxes waited in line to wipe at their hands. If there was one thing he had to agree with the Capitol, it was that they knew how to show style.
Outside of the fashion sense anyway.
He could really get used to this. He must have on the most pleased grin for someone who just stepped out of the men's room.
