The Victor is...
Who| EVERYONE. IC participation is mandatory (OOC is not, you may handwave)
What| Momoko's victory crowning
Where| The ball room
When| The Wednesday before the next arena.
Warnings/Notes| None atm.
The party was styled for Momoko.
The tables were covered in lace, delicate dishes and silverware, flowers that fell from vases covered in Victorian paintings. It was the most extravagant tea party to ever be thrown, with tiny, thin china cups and a too many tiny little finger foods being passed around to count. The ballroom has been styled in extravagant Baroque, as the Capitol was fairly liberal with their adaption of historical time periods.
The costumes were just as liberally chosen, from tall, powdered wigs holding birdcages with live birds, clearly hailing in the style of Marie Antoinette to regency gowns gathered under daringly (and occasionally outright) exposed busts to tight corsets and the skeletons of skirts exposed and decorated. A quarter played live music at one end of the room, before a wide dance floor.
At the head of the room there was a long table with a throne for Momoko, as elaborate as anything else in the room. And along the long table, group close to those who they seemed to enjoy, was a place for many of the Tributes, with a small place card that said "Special guest of The Capitol." This table was fed first, received drinks first, and was clearly favored.
Any Tributes not seated at the long table with their peers were dispersed among the the smaller table spread about the room, left to rub elbows with the guests invited from the Capitol, and the reporters covering the event. Security was, if anything, tighter than the last crowning.
These people have seats a the big kids table. You guys are free to decide who sits by who (And if three people sit by one person, don't worry too much about it) but they are, when possible set by their friends:
Atticus Bell
Draco Malfoy
Chibi-Usa

Not that one could tell from how he carried himself as he entered the hall.
"Interesting placements we have here... If they were any more obvious, we'll be sitting on the Capitol's laps."
Hope Stark has Lindsey in the tolerable category because the urban cowboy didn't look like he was leaving quite yet.

He did throw a harpoon at his head the last time he saw him. But to be fair, Tony did ruin his afternoon plans....
"Always better to be on top, I say," he tells him. Doesn't mind the company. It would actually be beneficial to talk to him, in fact. Lean his game, so to speak.

Lindsey certainly didn't hold any grudge for Stark's rescue of his target. It might have something to do with Lindsey having been the one to take him out afterwards anyway. And then died soon after himself, but that's how Arenas went.
"Can't argue that. Life's always better when you come out on top."

"Nice work last round," it's a weird sort of statement/almost-compliment. But wasn't that the way of the world they were in now? He'd made it farther in the game than Tony. It was something to be admired, kind of. Strength. Or luck. Or both. Either way, Tony liked a bit of a challenge, which Lindsey seemed like the sort to provide him.
Whether that would help him or hinder him in the end still remained to be seen.

"Not good enough," Lindsey answered with a pull of a face. That was two arenas and two times he nearly made it to the winner. Closer the first time, less so this time, but still not bad. He got some money out of climbing over the bodies, so at least there were consolation prizes.
"Good work breaking the trap."
oh hell this is so late it is embarassing i am so sorry
Tony's starting to be more familiar with recognizing magic than he literally ever thought he could be, considering it's relative non-existence in his own world. But Lindsey sure was using it. So, he's going to take a leap here and guess he and Lindsey don't exactly call the same place home.
He knows pretty much nothing about the guy, really.
Might be a good time to learn.
No problemos~ It's a slow game.
They might be from perhaps alternate realities of the world, but it wasn't that different that it would be notable. "Oklahoma born. Earth like you and most people should know it. I don't think it's the place that's all that interesting."

He's not originally from the L.A. area, but he's lived there a while now. He doesn't say so though.

"That's okay though, most of the world's not supposed to know magic exists. I mean, some obviously do, you have your Wicca and shamans, but people make up what they want to believe to fill in for things they can't explain."
no subject
"You knew though. Apparently. Unless you've been taking a crash course down in the Training Center I wasn't aware they were offering," there's a smile on his face, but he's not fooled yet, Lindsey. If he's really just some Oklahoma-born human guy, he's picked up some knowledge along the way Tony's never heard of. And that's frustratingly curious to him.
no subject
"I wouldn't count on them having a crash course though, magic doesn't work out here."
