The party was styled for Momoko.

The tables were covered in lace, delicate dishes and silverware, flowers that fell from vases covered in Victorian paintings. It was the most extravagant tea party to ever be thrown, with tiny, thin china cups and a too many tiny little finger foods being passed around to count. The ballroom has been styled in extravagant Baroque, as the Capitol was fairly liberal with their adaption of historical time periods.

The costumes were just as liberally chosen, from tall, powdered wigs holding birdcages with live birds, clearly hailing in the style of Marie Antoinette to regency gowns gathered under daringly (and occasionally outright) exposed busts to tight corsets and the skeletons of skirts exposed and decorated. A quarter played live music at one end of the room, before a wide dance floor.

At the head of the room there was a long table with a throne for Momoko, as elaborate as anything else in the room. And along the long table, group close to those who they seemed to enjoy, was a place for many of the Tributes, with a small place card that said "Special guest of The Capitol." This table was fed first, received drinks first, and was clearly favored.

Any Tributes not seated at the long table with their peers were dispersed among the the smaller table spread about the room, left to rub elbows with the guests invited from the Capitol, and the reporters covering the event. Security was, if anything, tighter than the last crowning.

These people have seats a the big kids table. You guys are free to decide who sits by who (And if three people sit by one person, don't worry too much about it) but they are, when possible set by their friends:

"I don't even know when we'd celebrate it here though? Sometime in the the winter, but they don't exactly keep time the same way, do they?"

He shrugs. "Four days after the solstice? They have to have a solstice."

He nodded at that. "Sounds about right," he said. "So we'll see if they have it and plan if they don't." A pause. "Even if they do, because I don't want to know what kind of twisted things they think of as a holiday."

"Oh, yeah." He wrinkles his nose. "Probably not the best idea."

Finishing his drink, he grins at Blaine. "Wanna dance?"

"Are you drunk enough?" Blaine asked. "Because I'd love to."

"If I get any drunker, I won't be able to dance," Atticus said with a laugh. "It's kind of a fine balance."

Blaine pushes up then and offers his hand to Atticus. "Well come on," he says. "I'm not about to waste the perfect balance."

Atticus laughed as he took Blaine's hand. "Let's go!"

Blaine laughed a bit as he moved to pull Atticus to the floor.

Grinning, Atticus followed easily.

Once they get to the floor Blaine presses close to Atticus. "Ready?" he asks before falling in step with the other dancers on the floor. He enjoys dancing with Atticus, even if they have to sort of watch the other dancers to get the steps right.

"Yep!" Atticus definitely struggles with getting the steps right, but he has fun doing it anyway.

Blaine helps Atticus figure it out a bit and eventually they have it down enough that they're falling in line with the others. Blaine clearly enjoys himself too much, and he ends up in Atticus's arms, still smiling and laughing a bit.

"You weren't bad at all."

Atticus laughs right back, hugging Blaine. "I was awful, but thanks."

"You're not awful," Blaine insists. "You just need to know your body better."

[kind_of_a_nerd]

"I was pretty awful," Atticus says. "It's cool. I don't have to be a dancer."

"Well, we've been training right? We could work to make you lighter on your feet too."

[kind_of_a_nerd]

"You wanna teach me to dance?" Atticus asks with a laugh, leaning against Blaine.

"I do," Blaine agrees. "It would be nice and normal."

[kind_of_a_nerd]

"Yeah, I guess it would." He grins. "Okay! Teach me to dance!"

darren what even is that face?

Blaine chuckles and nods. He pulls back a bit to hold out his arms again. "Right now?"

It's his 'I'm too drunk for this' face

"Why not?" Atticus says, straightening up again. "I'm in your hands."

Blaine chuckles a bit and moves closer. "Yeah, you are," he says. He sways with Atticus a bit before guiding him through moving.

Atticus is not the best student of this particular subject, but he does sort of manage to keep up with Blaine.

Blaine is patient with him, and mostly enjoys having an excuse to touch Atticus.
