The party was styled for Momoko.

The tables were covered in lace, delicate dishes and silverware, flowers that fell from vases covered in Victorian paintings. It was the most extravagant tea party to ever be thrown, with tiny, thin china cups and a too many tiny little finger foods being passed around to count. The ballroom has been styled in extravagant Baroque, as the Capitol was fairly liberal with their adaption of historical time periods.

The costumes were just as liberally chosen, from tall, powdered wigs holding birdcages with live birds, clearly hailing in the style of Marie Antoinette to regency gowns gathered under daringly (and occasionally outright) exposed busts to tight corsets and the skeletons of skirts exposed and decorated. A quarter played live music at one end of the room, before a wide dance floor.

At the head of the room there was a long table with a throne for Momoko, as elaborate as anything else in the room. And along the long table, group close to those who they seemed to enjoy, was a place for many of the Tributes, with a small place card that said "Special guest of The Capitol." This table was fed first, received drinks first, and was clearly favored.

Any Tributes not seated at the long table with their peers were dispersed among the the smaller table spread about the room, left to rub elbows with the guests invited from the Capitol, and the reporters covering the event. Security was, if anything, tighter than the last crowning.

These people have seats a the big kids table. You guys are free to decide who sits by who (And if three people sit by one person, don't worry too much about it) but they are, when possible set by their friends:

"It seems our worlds are very different indeed, Mister Redfield." She lightly commented, not wishing to make him feel discomforted.

"Finishing school for two years certainly had it's advantages, but not many that are of great usage in the real world." Not unless you were a witch and a politician such as Glinda.

"Yeah, I didn't do the school thing. Did what I needed then went for training."

"You are an officer?" She asked curiously, the parallels with Fiyero were beginning to make her a little uncomfortable.

"Yes ma'am, Air Force then a unit working just above the police. Kind of like a City guard I guess."

Glinda stiffly nodded. "Quite like a city guard, yes." Oh Ozma preserve her. She flicked open the fan and began using it for it's intended purpose. "It's rather warm in here." She excused herself and she mentally contemplated the similarities. Perhaps she merely was drawn to that kind of person. "Such a noble calling, Mister Redfield, your family must be ever so proud."

"Just a little, I'm sure when the party goes full swing it'll only get worse." He watched her a moment. "Perhaps some fresh air will help?" God knows he could use some.

"They were." At least he liked to think his parents were. Since it was just him and Claire now, and he had to play this game until he could get back to his kid sister.

"They're watching. I don't we are allowed out so close to the crowning. And I am expected up there in a moment." She nodded toward the top table where people were already starting to filter toward their seats.

"Well then as soon as we're allowed to leave, allow me to escort you back to your rooms." Hey he could be sweet when he wanted to. Though it was a little more of he wanted to make sure she was safe.

"You are very kind, Mister Redfield. I would appreciate it." Glinda had somehow managed to gain a sponsor that liked to try to approach her every time she went to the candidate tower and convince her to leave late at night to go to his place of residence. The chance of that happening were so close to never that it wasn't worth considering.

"Naw, if you really knew me you'd say differently." He gave a grin. "I just know I'm more harmless than some of the leeches around here." He had spotted the Baron, or at least thought he had and fought a shudder. The guy creeped him out more than most of the other civilians he had met.

"I was one of the few female politrixes in Oz and one of the best known. Male attention, both posicational and negatatious is something I have much experience with dealing with." Glinda informed him in her roundabout way of telling him she could look after herself.

Still didn't mean he wasn't going to look out for her best interest. It's a guy thing Glinda really!

"And from what you told me before, you do a great job with the position." He hoped she'd get he knew she could take care of herself.
