Who| Holly Day and YOU + prompts for Jolie, Oceana and Eponine
What| Holly checks in on people in D10
Where| D10 suites
When| Present
Warnings/Notes|
It's been an extremely, extremely stressful couple of weeks. The news of the murder and the subsequent arrests left Holly extremely rattled- and don't even get her started on the jailbreaks, let alone the death of Orc. All in all, it's left her needing a couple of days to recover and get herself back together again so she doesn't go weeping in front of tributes. Not only has it been emotionally taxing, but pretty terrifying too- knowing a rebellion is starting to form just isn't fun. But now, with the arena looming ever closer, she's back from her little mini vacation because her tributes need her.
When she enters the district 10 suite, it's quite dramatic and silly. Her drag persona is on in full force and she's ready to spread cheer wherever she can. In fact, she's going to check in on everyone- yes. Everyone in her district, if she can. Which she can't, because some of them are in jail. We don't talk about that.
Either way, if you're in District 10, she will be approaching you. "Hiii!" she says, with such passionate enthusiasm that you just can't ignore her- or possibly it's the opposite, and it makes you want to run away. "How are you?" she might ask you. "It feels like it's been years!" she gushes. Not only that, but she's all fond smiles and affection when she approaches people, as if they're her favorite person in the world. This is good- this is what she's needed to really help heal from all of the drama.

Jolie
So she's made her way to Jolie's workshop room and is knocking on the door enthusiastically. "Knock, knock!" she says loudly, a box of cookies in one hand as she reaches for the doorknob with the other. "I brought cookies! Baked them fresh, right of out the store!" She laughs, like she just absolutely tickles herself, as she lets herself into the workshop room.

That said, she's surprised to hear Holly of all people popping in. She hasn't seen her in a while, assumedly because she's been knee deep in her own issues. She can never keep up with Holly's energy, but that doesn't mean she isn't a little happy to see her when she barges in.
"So much for that endless talent of yours, huh? Thanks." She gives her a wry smile, taking the box from her and looking expectantly at her. "You can go now." The tug at her lips makes it pretty obvious she's kidding around.

Regardless, it's not something they have to worry about just yet. "Oh... Alright then." Holly knows Jolie is just playing, but she wants to play along. So she scurries out of the room, pulling the door shut behind her.
Of course she bursts back in a second later. "I'm back!" she announces, as if it wasn't completely obvious. Then she'll hurry over and pull Jolie into a hug. "How are you? It feels like it's been so long, girl. I bet you've been busy busy preparing for the arena, hm?"
no subject
"That was fast." She murmurs with a slight roll of her eyes, a smile forming again when Holly runs in for the hug. She can't help moving into it, but at the question she pulls back to reveal arms covered in glitter and the odd sequin that managed to stick. "Busy doesn't cover it, bitch. I'm literally gonna be seeing stars before I get this shit aside." She huffs to herself, about to ask the question in turn just as casually until she considers what the depth of Holly's feelings probably are right now. Orc dying had been no secret, so suddenly she's feeling like a tool for not seeking the other queen out. She moves to grab her wrists affectionately, giving her a serious look. "How've you been holding up?"

Oceana
Like with Jolie, she's going to bring a little gift along with her. The difference here is that she's going to be a little more thoughtful when it comes to it, because she wants to brighten Oceana's day a little more. With Oceana being the youngest of them, she can't help but worry a little more and she wants to go the extra mile and bring Oceana her favorite dessert.
The same with Jolie, she's bursting into Oceana's workroom, not even thinking to knock. "Hi, hi, hello!" she says excitedly. "I brought you a little present! I hope you didn't have a big lunch!"
no subject
"Fuck, Holly," she groans, wiping glitter and 100% human hair thankyouverymuch away from her cheek and blinking the sleep from her eyes. "You scared the fucking shit out of me, fuck." And then she sees the plate in the other queen's hand and perks up.
"Wait, is that what I think it is?"
no subject
"Oh dear, I missed nap time..." She tsks and shakes her head at her own silliness. But then she gives Oceana a fond smile, and nods. "Oh, you know it is! I thought given... Well, you know, everything- Well, I just thought you could use a little treat."
She holds out the cherry cheesecake happily. "All yours, sleepyhead."
no subject
"Oh my God." She takes the plate almost reverently, not once looking away from that delectable slice of cheesecake. "Holly, I fucking love you." She means it, too; they're basically family, and only the inimitable Ms. Day would be thoughtful enough to do something like this. Oceana doesn't waste another minute; she uses the fork to take a huge bite of cake, moaning as it melts in her mouth like silk. "Oh, fuck," she curses with her mouth half-full, eyes rolling skyward. "I'd suck so much dick for cheesecake like this."

Eponine
Perhaps she goes a little overboard, but as she approaches Eponine's door, she's got quite a large care package. A basket with expensive chocolates, candies and a bottle of wine, along an expensive gift card that can be used in any Capitol store. She just wants to do something to brighten Eponine's day, and lavish gifts are the only thing that she can think of. Gifts and being there for her, of course. She also has a large bouquet of flowers, too, to brighten up Eponine's room.
She gives a few soft knocks on Eponine's door- she doesn't want to go in too loud or enthusiastic, for fear of giving the wrong idea. It helps that she's starting to feel a little somber just thinking about it. "Eponine?" she calls out. "Can I come in, please?"
Re: Eponine
When she hears the knock and the vaguely familiar voice, she goes to the door. She thinks about not opening it, fearing a Peacekeeper trying to trick her into coming out. But, she reasons, a Peacekeeper can just break down her door anyway. So she opens it.
And then her mouth falls open as she sees first the baskets and the flowers, and then Holly.
"Ma'am? You are well? Do you need a help?"
Re: Eponine
Re: Eponine
Never, ever has she had so many presents in her whole life, and Eponine feels completely rotten for being so excited.
"You bring me gifts? That is kind of you, Miss. But I do not need a gift. You shouldn't waste such things on me. You wish to sit?" She gestures to her unmade bed, or the little chair in the corner.

hey gurl hey
The news that he has one job however, to kill for the entertainment of others, was not terrible news. It didn't make up for his physical situation though.
The enthusiasm he's greeted with gives him this uncomfortable, moving liquid feeling in his abdomen (nausea), something he's been experiencing quite frequently in his crash course experience to being a meatbag thus far.
"Answer: I am in a fluidic meat hell."
Haaaay
Her eyebrows raise. "Oh! Well- be glad your meat is fluid. I've had a bad experience with stagnant meat and lemme tell you- not fun!" She sticks her tongue out for emphasis.

"Clarification:" He punctuates out each syllable, really emphasizing that she has probably misunderstood him, "I was a droid. My chassis was not the meatbag one that it is now." Was. There is a rumbling hum of frustration in his chest. He raises his chin, acknowledging her more directly now.
"Query: Would you be upset if someone took your body away to place you within one that you had no familiarity with?" It should be rhetorical but meatbags, they could be unpredictable.
no subject
"Oh- funny, because I've been known to do a good robot myself," she says, and to punctuate she starts doing the robot. You know, the cheesy dance. She's quite well known for it at the clubs. "You know, that's a good question- I guess it would depend on what kind of body? I mean, hey. You lucked out, you look pretty good!"

Well, mostly, considering Holly is like sunshine on legs and is, quite frankly, a breath of fresh air after all this doom and gloom. And while Clara can't quite muster up a full smile at the moment, considering Alex is still missing and Dave's been captured, she manages to get something close enough onto her face. "I'm good," she says, and it isn't even that much of a lie. She's better than she was in her first week here, so that's progress or something like it.
no subject
When Clara doesn't smile fully, Holly really can't blame her, with everything going on, but she hopes she can fix that. "Good, good!" she says, clapping her hands together. "I'm glad to hear it. What have you been up to lately? Anything exciting?"

"Ah. Hello, Holly," Sigma answers politely and with a slight nod. Though they had never had a chance to speak, he knew her name courtesy of the stylists and other Tributes. "I have not seen you around for some time. Have you been well?" He has been so starved for company that it is almost nice for one to pretend that they liked him.
no subject
But she lights up even more, now that she's seeing him in a place she can speak to him. "Hello, Sigma!" she says enthusiastically, clapping her hands together for emphasis. He doesn't need to know just why she's been absent, so she'll gloss over that a little. "Of course, just busy busy! How about you, have you been up to anything exciting and fun? You look like the kind of guy with a wild side." She winks, giving him a nudge with her elbow.

He fidgets nervously, stretching his left wrist out as if he had sprained it, uncertain of how to answer that question without sounding like the most boring soul in the district. "I appreciate your optimism, but I have not been up to much. The most I have done is take a trip to the Training Centre to practice with my cybernetic arms. They become quite sore the older I get, you see..." That part wasn't particularly true- in fact, they were only sore because he had built the muscle mass over his titanium bones to be comfortable to carry around in the moon's gravity- but it would do in place of an explanation. It also made him seem like he cared about winning, which worked for him. "...Yourself?" It's an afterthought, he is poor at making conversation.

"I've been bereft without you. Or, you know, bored. It amounts to the same thing."
no subject
Holly laughs fondly, stepping over to him. "I feel the same!" she says, and she holds out her arms for him. "How about a hug?" she asks with a grin. "It's so good to see you!"
no subject
He spread his arms as well, giving Holly a sly smile. "Are you sure? I am a very dangerous sentient, after all..."
