Who| Prim & OPEN (Especially trolls)
What| Exploring the city, filling in free time, forever staring at shops and things.
Where| District 12 Quarters, common area, or out in the Capitol. (She's not a tribute, so she's not actually allowed in the gym. :( )
When| Any time during the week~
Warnings| Potentially foul language? UNHANDABLE AMOUNTS OF CUTENESS?
It took a lot to fill a day, devoid of school or work. Sometimes she followed Katniss or visited with Cinna. The rest of the time, when she didn't have a book to read or a ball to bounce against the wall, she went out to the city.
They had a lot of things out there, making her head whip about. She couldn't buy any of it, without relying on her credit card, but she could stare into the windows and mouth her awe. The books in their display cases, the clothes - so many types of shoes and dresses: she couldn't imagine people going through so many outfits, back home. None of the shoes even looked practical.
She had some thoughts about searching out herbal shops, or pressing people for information on the capitol's medication... Somehow, the cake shops and toy stores always drew just as much attention, though. The sweet smells and bright lights... All the things she never could have imagined back home.
Most recently was the tickle-me trolls. Staring at the familiar faces of the tributes, and remembering what it was she had heard from them. How could they be child friendly?

sorry he's awful forever
The skull-faced troll walks up to the shelf of toys, not far from where Prim stands. He peers down at the plush version of what is apparently himself, and leans down. With a clawed finger he pokes at it's cheery face. Then, tears its belly open to reveal the stuffing, and breaks the threading keeping its head attached. The plush's head flops sadly backwards.
Finally the Initiate turns to her and he raises a brow.
Never apologize! Prim's used to awful. 8|
She's wondering about the truth of their people eating habits, now, but at least she's in a public space - and they're tributes, besides. She can't go running away from them, she reminds herself sternly - stiffening her legs and biting her lip. She won't.
"I think they'll charge you for that," she said after a moment. "They might make another video about it, too."

"LET THEM," He snorts. "He can bide his time. ALL TO THE SAME, SISTER, they got his horns wrong. NOW THEY CAN MAKE MOTHERFUCKING NOTE ON FOR CORRECTION. Make motherfucking note they up and can. AND WITHOUT A SINGLE FUCKER CULLED FOR THE INJUSTICE, ain't that all to be a divine mercy?"
He looks her over once more, then says, "DON'T SEEM AT TO BE FROM HERE, GIRL. Don't talk at like they do neither. BUT NOR HAS HE SEEN AT HER SHOW FACE IN A CENTER AT WHICH THE SORRY FUCKERS WHAT CALL THEMSELVES TRIBUTES UP AND 'TRAIN'."

The question about her, she answered quickly: at least once she had mentally translated it. "I'm Katniss's sister," Prim admitted, assuming he wouldn't know the name even as she said it.
"She's one of the mentors. They brought me from the districts to be with her." And for other reasons, she's sure, but she's not going to start talking about those in public.

"A girl makes introduction like chattel. IF SHE IS HER OWN, SHE OUGHT TO MAKE CLEAR OF HER OWNSELF FIRST." She's too young to have a title--He's too young to have a title, but her much more so. "What is your name, girl?"
Sorry. My dad died. It's been a long week. :(

Either way he finds himself approaching her at the window, "if you want something just take it," he says after a moment of wondering whether or not his sister would like anything in this store (not that he's thinking of stealing anything for her, she can get it herself), "rich assholes probably won't even notice."
no subject
"They Capitol would, though," she says, not looking up - she's referring to the people in charge. She always calls them The Capitol. "They'd probably charge it to the credit cards..."
Maybe they'd be willing to call it an "endorsement," in a tribute's case, but she doesn't want to risk that.
Finally, she looks up at him. "It's wrong to steal, anyway."
no subject
He snorts, "wrong? Livin' ain't wrong kid, and sometimes you gotta steal to live."
no subject
"You don't need a toy to live," she pointed out. "It's just nice to look at...
no subject
"You don't get it, you nick the shit toy and then pawn it at some other shop for a few bucks and then you can eat for a few days."

And then he saw the blonde kid. She didn't look like she belonged here. She certainly didn't dress like everyone else. She did seem safe somehow, though. He took a deep breath and walked up to her. "Hey."

District 12 quarters
But don't think about it now, he tells himself. He catches sight of a younger girl on the end of the hall and wastes no time in trotting over. That this might be some employee's daughter crosses his mind, but doesn't make him yield. All the better, he thinks. Tim wastes no time with delivering an introduction, either. "Excuse me, hi, I'm kind of new here." Or at least part of his introduction.
Re: District 12 quarters
"I'm Prim," she offered, quickly, eyes on Tim's. She didn't want to let the silence hang.

The next thing she noticed was he didn't know who she was. That probably meant he was new. Definitely not a citizen, or he would have known all about her, wouldn't he? the thoughts went quickly through her mind before she responded.
"It's just been a few weeks," she said.
no subject
But by now he figures that she can't be some employee's daughter, because that would mean she would have been here longer than just a few weeks, right? Jeez. He doesn't know better, so he assumes she's a tribute too.
"I'm not a fan of being locked up in my suite all day, and since I just got here, I was wondering if you knew the best way to kill some time." Hah. Kill. That was actually a poor choice of words, oops.

On the other hand, it is another world here, and maybe highbloods don't mean the same thing here that they do on Alternia. Either way, she isn't much thinking about that. Instead, her attention has been caught by the pair of miniature nubby-horned trolls. She's not really sure she wants one, not for certain, but the temptation is there all the same.

She noticed this one's examination of the dolls with a mixture of curiosity and trepidation. After the last one's reaction of ripping out the stuffing... Well, she doesn't look like she's reacting badly.
"Hello," she offered, deciding to test the water.

She is, however, more than willing to hold a conversation, and so she turns in the direction of the unfamiliar voice with only a minor amount of wariness. She might have her clawgloves, but she doesn't think she's really likely to get attacked in the street. Not for simply being a troll, anyway.
"Hello to you, too."
no subject
"Are you new?" she asked, looking at her curiously. There was something about her that somehow seemed a little different than the other trolls.
no subject
"Is it that obvious?"
