Who| Everyone
What| A chance for the teams to meet, mingle, and, lets be honest, for goodbyes to be said.
Where| The common area.
When| Evening before the attack, about a day after Creuntus' network announcement.
Warnings/Notes| Time is going to be a littlemore wonky then normal, if you haven't noticed. They will be going out to attack "tomorrow" but that thread will not, likely, be posted tomorrow, to give people time to play in this one, etc.
There is food and drink, plenty of it, but no decoration, and it is clear this "party" is no sort of celebration. There is the small spattering of Peacekeepers still in the Capitol, those not on duty at the edge of the boundary.
A long table at the front has a set up for each team. Everyone has a folder with who is in their team, who is watching their team, a list of the various weapons they will have. On the list is a flame thrower, a handful of small explosives, and an automatic weapon for each team member. There are no weapons laid out for the Tributes to handle, however - those were waiting for them elsewhere, for when the mission truly started. Nor does the folder mention that the weapons all switch off outside of the combat area, but it's also not a secret, or a surprise.
Each folder also includes the rather useless stats and images they have of the creatures-the photos are blurry, the stats mainly stack up to "they are very deadly" and a collection of the various bits of information put forth by other tributes who seem to know more then the Capitol. Last, a detailed map of both the neighborhood, and the tunnels for them to study.
Another table has folders for the intel, with much of the same information. Last, a third table is set up for those that are staying at home. Those folders contain some basic first aid information, and a list with what sort of basic medical supplies and food stuff is in the training center.
Each table set up has an Avox or two to hand out the folders. Creuntus is no where to be seen, and you would be lucky to catch any of her team. She knows where she doesn't want to be. The furniture has been dragged to facilitate the conversation of small to medium sized groups. Say, about the size of a team and their Intel.

Sandy : Team 2
Sitting in front of her on a table were the weapons for her team. Guns, a flamethrower, and explosives.
Cautiously she picked up one of the explosives, feeling the weight of it and trying to suss out how it worked.
Mostly she was trying to distract herself form the fact that she was not on Pruna's team. The whole reason she'd agreed to go into combat was to be with Pruna.
There was a knot in her stomach that felt as thick as a fist.
Re: Sandy : Team 2
Her team better look after her, or they would have a very angry assassin to deal with. "Did you be reading everything? You do be needing to be making sure you do be knowing all the information."
Re: Sandy : Team 2
"These clowns don't know less then we do. That old guy, Sigma? He's offered more information then they did."

"I guess my team is supposed to be going in deep. I don't plan on doing anything stupid. Let the big people draw the monsters. I'll keep in cover and shoot one of these." She gestured to the pistols photos in her file. The weight in her stomach didn't get any lighter at the thought of them.

She wrinkled her nose at the picture, "I do be hoping they do no be being complicated to be using."
no subject
"You hold this part here. And you put your finger through here. And you point it at whatever you want to kill and squeeze this part here." She was tapping the photograph with her finger to show Pruna the parts of the gun.
"This thing here is called the "Safety" I guess if you have it like this in the picture? The gun won't shoot. So you have to flip the switch to make it work. You could leave it flipped but accidents happen that way."
Or so she had seen on TV.
"This is how many shots you have." She added pointing to the number on the paper.
no subject
"So you can only be shooting that many times." She nodded, she understood the concept, it was a bit like archery though she had never really tried to seen archery before, she had heard of it.

And then her shoulders slumped. "I can't imagine they'll do much against the big ones though. I guess aim for the face? And don't get too close! It says here they can spit and drool acid."
She was already worried about if her stone skin would hold up against acid.

"They do be sounding really powerful."
no subject
"I don't think this is like the Arena. If we bite it out here? If one of those things kills us...I think we're done." She mumbled so only Pruna could hear how worried she sounded. This was the dance they shared. Sandy would be logical and concerned, then Pruna would be passionate and inspirational and they'd both go off to do something stupid. It was comforting in it's familiarity.

Annnnd I'm out of ideas. Call it a fade to black from here?
Yup!

Still, a large and overly spiky dragon is pretty hard to miss so she's not too worried about it.

Sandy turned slowly to face the creature, eyes wide. Of all the strange opponents she'd met in the arena...she'd never noticed the dragon before. Then again there were alot of people in each district. Or possibly they were new?
Either way some of Sandy's old submissive nature kicked in and she cautiously inched away from the mythical creature.

"Oh, you hardly need to worry that I shall eat you. People taste quite horrible anyway."
no subject
"That's good to know...I guess." She muttered now unable to take her eyes off her.
"What do dragons eat?" That seemed to be the most logical next step. In all the stories she knew of it was always humans and treasure.
no subject
"That is hardly all we will eat, however."
no subject
"Well at least the food around here is good. It's one of the only good things." She muttered trying to collect herself and seem more capable and competent then she was.
no subject
"Although it is all quite strange, yet."
no subject
"Yeah, I've been here for...way too long and it still doesn't feel normal. I don't know that it ever will." her eyes clouded with gloom.
"Still not sure if it's better or worse then my homeworld."
Re: Sandy : Team 2
Which made it all the more awful, in his opinion. "I'm going to be working with you, I'm going to be Intel for your team. How are you doing?"
Re: Sandy : Team 2
"Like I'm gonna throw up even though I haven't eaten anything." She muttered gloomily.
"The only reason I signed up for this stupid thing was to keep an eye on Pruna, and get rid of this thing." She shook the arm with her cuff on it. Today she had painted it a shiny purple with stars on it.
Re: Sandy : Team 2
Spoke to soon. "Getting rid of the bracelet will help, in the long run. But I know how much you mean to her, and she to you. I'm not part of her team, but I could talk to someone in it. Make sure they pay extra attention to her, if that will help any." He couldn't keep an eye on her, but he'd make sure everyone else was.
Everyone.
Re: Sandy : Team 2
"Yeah. Thanks."
But she couldn't help herself from worrying.
"So basically I'm going into the den and she'll be running around outside cleaning up any of the things trying to escape?" Because this sounded like the worst plan ever.
Re: Sandy : Team 2
"Well, actually, her team is going into the den. She's on it with three other woman. Not my intel team, but I'm trying to keep up."
Re: Sandy : Team 2
She could practically hear Pruna in her head shouting at her though.
"She'll be fine. She's alot more capable then some of the adults here."
