Parker's been redecorating. Considering she can't climb buildings, or steal things (well, a few things from the bitch with the bubbles's room have gone missing) Parker's got one avenue left, art. Usually, her drawings are realistic, without passion. This time, she's gone through many, many different versions trying to make her subjects look as ridiculous as possible.

The bitch with the bubbles has too many matchy-matchy things. (Well, not so much anymore.) The sponsor who is not as intelligent as the seagulls from that movie about finding a fish, cares about appearances too.

It took 37 different pieces of paper, and 3 pencils, sharpened down to nubs, to make them look this horrible. The final pieces are on display, tacked to a focal wall in the suite.




The artist is nearby.

"...What...the..."

Don stared at the...pictures, clearly disturbed. They were....beyond description. Creepy.

Slowly, he began to back away from the bathroom. Now where was he going to go to...go?

Jinx.

"What the?" A few epithets follow, none of which are appropriate.

"Are you real?"

Parker's imagination has been known to run wild.

Quickly, Don turned to see...well. Another Tribute. He was certain this Tribute's been around for some time - they just never bumped into one another. Well. That drought was over.

"That depends," he replied, pointing to the bathroom. "Are those...pictures real?"

"You being real depends on my drawings?"

This is definitely the strangest thing she's ever imagined.

[polyturtle]

"No, I was..." Wait. "Those were yours? Why would you do that?"

[whosalicewhite]

"Because I can."

Why else would she do something?

"Did you meet Timbulb? I think he must've been dropped on his head while a baby and an adult."

And, she would like to know, "so, you're real."

[polyturtle]

"You mean Timaeus Nadir? I didn't meet him, though I went to his party." Don gave her a smile. "And yeah, I'm definitely real."

[whosalicewhite]

"He's an idiot." Parker's amazed when others can't see what she does, yet that's how her life works.

"And that's not a big turtle suit, with a person inside, is it?"

[polyturtle]

"Nope. All turtle."

He didn't comment on Nadir. He knew better not to.

Eva arrives in the District 9 suite in an outfit that appears to be a plain ivory top and strings of animal spines sewn together to make a skirt. A bird's wing is in her hair. She's dressed down, for her, coming to check up on her Tributes rather than really do business with them.

She sees the images and her face transforms from serene and pleasant to a mask of rage. She grabs one and rips it down, crumples it in her hands, tosses it on the floor and starts tearing down the others.

"Who did these?"

Eva may be a mask of rage over the drawings, but Parker's staring at Eva's outfit as if she's come face to face with a serial killer.

"What are you wearing?"

That's clearly more important.

"Want me to come and tear it off you?"

[vissernone]

"Did you just threaten me?" Eva's upper lip twitches. "You're Parker, aren't you?"

[whosalicewhite]

"You're wearing the bits of the animal you don't wear."

There could be a simple reason for it. "Is there something wrong with you?"

"I mean, there's a big turtle here. You gonna wear him next?"

[vissernone]

"And you're speaking with the wrong tone to your Mentor." Eva stalks closer.

[whosalicewhite]

"You're not my mentor." Archie is her mentor, her pseudo-father. Nate is the mastermind.

"You're nothing to me." Parker is done with this, and decides to head back to her room.

[vissernone]

Eva grabs Parker's arm, digging her fingernails in. "I'm afraid you don't get a choice in the matter, nor in how this place operates. Now stand here and listen to me instead of being a selfish brat who jeopardizes her entire District."

That's not going to go over well: and by that, it means intending on taking the offending arm and hand and meaning to twist it within an inch of breaking. Any previous good will or amusement -- or even recognition of existence, whether success in causing pain or not -- will disappear.

"Don't touch me, or you'll learn to fly." Not like Parker: she loves to fly. No, she once intended to push Tara from a building, a side of Parker rarely seen, but Eva's getting it in full force.

"Don't know the district. They don't do anything but watch."

Harley let out a curious "Ooooo!" spotting the pictures from across the room and dashing over to study them. Slowly she tilted her head. Then twisted her entire body till she was bending over backwards to look at it upside down.

She giggled, then chuckled, then laughed in delight.

"These are GREAT!"

Finally, some art appreciation.

There's some laughter behind the girl.

"You get it. You're the only one."

Straightening up Harley spun around gracefully to meet the artist.

"Did you make these? They're a hoot!" She declared cheerfully, bouncing on her heels with sudden energy.

"Mine." Parker's not exactly one to deny what she does, unless she's talking to a police officer.

"Needed better art in here."

[revvinguptheharley]

"That's a great idea!" She declared. "I wonder if I could get some clay. I haven't made any art that wasn't destructive since my last movie." She mused putting a finger to her chin. Then she struck out her hand in a friendly fashion. "Harley Quinn." She introduced herself with a cheery grin.

"Destructive art?" Now that's an art from Parker could sink her teeth into. "Does that use explosives?"

There's a brief second before she takes the offered hand. She's not that good with social cues, "Parker."

[revvinguptheharley]

"Sometimes." She explained shaking the hand firmly, sometimes the can be paint jobs, once I broke into a museum to steal some fancy gems, and painted clown faces on a bunch of the boring stuffy French guys." She giggled mischievously.

"The last time my art hurt people was probably that movie I made where we burned through every stuntman in town. We had lots of explosions there. Or those statues I made that were supposed to be the big finale on a roller coaster. With axes and stuff you know? Swinging for the riders in the cart."

She seemed legitimately proud.

Parker she can appreciate a good handshake.

"Clown faces? Cooooool!" Parker's never done that to anyone before. She files that in the back of her head.

"But explosives are the most fun."
