On the morning of February 14th when the Tributes come down for breakfast they're greeted by an impressive holiday themed spread. Pink and red baked goods, chocolates shaped like hearts, beautiful red and pink flowers, adorable stuffed animals all line the table.

On the table is also a sign in cursive that reads:

To our beloved Tributes, Victors, Mentors, Escorts and Stylists. Enjoy your holiday. -- Bartlett Industries

Most of the sweets are completely harmless, but if the Tributes taste the chocolate covered cherries or caramels they find themselves suddenly acting very strangely...

"It is a bit boring, yeah," Clint agreed with a laugh. "How do you like getting to know people, if I will?"

"Generally over a drink or two." Theoretically. Assuming they wouldn't give him looks because he was only 16. "Possibly on slightly more intimate terms than the Capitol parties allow."

Clint was a really bad judge of age, or he might have commented on the drinking thing.

Or not.

"Intimate, huh?"

Probably for the best that Clint was a bad judge of age regardless.

"One of the better ways to get to know anyone, I'd think."

"Yeah, I can definitely think of worse."

He's just gonna take a step closer to you, Draco. Don't mind him.

The smirk tracing along his mouth suggested Draco didn't mind at all. He merely cocked his head to one side, "And it's not like the lot of us don't have plenty of time to get to know each other, either."

"That is...also true." He leaned against the wall on one arm. He did have to look up at Draco, but he didn't mind so much. "Got a lotta time on my hands right now."

[mudbloodhater]

"I think we all do. Between Arenas and all that - what's there really to do besides wander about the Capitol in hopes of finding something-" Someone? "-interesting?"

There was something to be said for being tall, and he let himself lean against the wall as well, at least doing his part to lessen the distance Clint had to look up at him a little.

Clint's lips twitched up into a smirk. "What's your definition of interesting?"

"Basically anyone I can stand talking to for more than ten minutes," he grinned.

Clint made a show of checking his watch.

"Ten minutes, huh?"

[mudbloodhater]

A watch, how quaint; Draco could, at least, admire that he had a watch at all, instead of checking one of those mobile devices.

"You're doing fairly well there."

Yeah, Clint was not big on new tech. He used what he had until it fell apart and couldn't be put back together again.

"Glad I make the cut."

[mudbloodhater]

He'd probably enjoy that Draco still wore a pocket-watch.

"Most people who do are. I think," he paused, frowning a little before shrugging, snagging another chocolate and popping it into his mouth to fill the moment. "I haven't heard any complaints yet, which tells me there aren't any."

He would think that's pretty cool, yeah.

Laughing, he steals another chocolate for himself. "Oh, is that how that works?"

[mudbloodhater]

"I should think so," he grinned. "How else would it work?"

"I don't know, man," Clint says with a laugh. "You seem to be the expert here."

[mudbloodhater]

"Exactly. And that's why you ought to defer to me and my always-exquisite taste in...well. Everything."

[from_a_distance]

Clint glances down the hallway.

"How's your taste in couches?"

[mudbloodhater]

"If it's comfortable, I like them," he stated quite plainly, glancing down the hallway as well. "After you, I presume?"

"I haven't seen any furniture here that wasn't comfortable," he said, heading down the hallway to where he was fairly certain there was a lounge-type area.

[mudbloodhater]

"That's because there isn't any. Everything in the Capitol is comfortable. And amazing. And brilliant." Draco stated gleefully, trailing along with Clint.

"Is that so?"

He found the lounge and dropped onto the couch, motioning for Draco to join him.

[mudbloodhater]

"Well." A shrug, and he gracefully joined him, moving to do so almost before Clint motioned for it, into a tangle of long limbs and nonchalance. "Sort of. They gave us these chocolates, didn't they?"

Clint smirked, settling in close to Draco. "Yeah, okay, the chocolates are pretty good."
