There's a loud, attention grabbing rapping at Eponine's door.

Diana stands there, what appears to be a pillowcase stuffed with many different objects judging from it's lumpiness in one hand, the other balancing 4 large drinks in a cup holder.

She must have knocked by kicking the door.

"Hey Eppy...nine." She greets her when the door opens, eyes sweeping over the other girl. Only just correcting herself so as not to irritate Eponine too early.

Diana wears casual clothes but looks good anyway, as usual. Those maroon jeggings hug her shapely legs and her thick hair is pulled to one side and plaited into a messy braid that frames her pretty face. Even if it looks as though she's only done it to keep it out of the way it's attractive.

"You gonna let me in? Because this is heavy and I'm not balancing all this for shits and giggles." She jangles the pillowcase. "I brought food." She spoke as if this were the most tempting offer in the world, though, to be fair, to her it was.

"That I don't know of your foreplay?" Eponine flinched a little at Diana's touch. "It is not so bad, you know. Well, come then. Show me. Tell me."

"Well, knowing of my foreplay is pretty much a blessing but let's focus on just foreplay in general."

She gives her hair a casual toss.

"Foreplay is like, pre-sex fun. A warm up. So, aside from hitching up your skirt and opening the gates what else do you usually do before jumping into bed?"

"Whatever the man tells me." Eponine hasn't really had much experience of foreplay. In all honesty, she's not really had many positive sexual experiences at all.

"Sometimes he asks me to undress, to - " She gestures at her chest. God, she's embarrassed. "Push... together... to make 'em bigger. Or to undress him and... well... it's... it's not right to speak of, is it? It's... I just do as I'm told, Diana."

"See, this-" She gestures up and down Eponine with her finger. "-is the problem."

"You're giving the man all the control. And men should never be in control. Because they're stupid. And egotistical. And think with their dicks. But because we're smart, we can use all of that."

From Diana's relaxed posture and the casual way she takes way she takes another bite from her muffin it's clear that though she may not view sex as business like as Eponine, she certainly doesn't take it too seriously.

"You're not doing this for money or because your dick of a father is making you anymore. You need to get out of that mindset."

"But..." She doesn't know anything really, about sex. Not about how to have fun with it.

"I don't know how. All I know is to make them happy. It didn't matter for you. Miss - Diana, I mean - I am not so experienced as the Capitol likes to say. Perhaps it is that I am a little...scared. What if what I like is bad? How am I to know even what I like? How do you know?"

"Listen, any guy will be happy just to be getting some attention. The best you can do for any man is snap him out of his little delusion that he deserves sex."

She leans closer, as if divulging incredibly important information.

"Just remember. You don't owe anybody anything. Even the promise of getting his rocks off is reward enough."

A carefree shrug. "I know what I like because I think about it, decide I might enjoy it and give it a try. Which beings us back to you. Eps, how much control do you think you have or should have during sex?"

"All of it?" She shifts awkwardly. "I should tell the man what I wish for? What if he says no?"

Eponine feels so out of depth in this conversation. Women being in charge is a novel idea to her.

"I don't want them to laugh at me. I am not good looking, even when I am naked. What if they say they would rather a man instead, like Howard did?"

"Then leave him. If he won't do it he won't be worth it anyway, besides, it's his loss if you leave. It's not like you have to have sex with him. You can find someone else who'll sleep with you and do it your way, trust me. Just the threat of you not going through with it usually jolts them into action."

The smug expression on her face speaks of confidence and experience before another eye roll makes an appearance.

"Okay. Listen to me. You need to get over Howard." She pauses, speaking more to herself for a moment. "Wow, never thought I'd say that to anyone..."

She shakes her head. "Anyway, Howie's gay denial is not your problem. You are not the first girl to be used as a beard."

"He were the first boy to say he proper loved me without hurting me a bit. Not that I minded that, you know? Back at home, I am as a wife to a man named Montparnasse."

Funny. She's not thought about Montparnasse in so long. "God, he were beautiful, Diana. You should fall in love with him if he were here. Every woman loved my 'Parnasse. He has beautiful, dark hair, and red lips - you would think they were rouged, but no. And skin - so smooth and always clean. In his room, he had a real copper tub, and he heated a bit of water on occasion. He let me in once, to wash, before he had his way, but he dumped cold water all over me. That were not so nice, but he found it funny. He used to say he loved me - he'd pull my hair dead tight so I had to lean back into him, and he would whisper, "I love you." in my ear. Some of it were not so nice, but... I do not mind it rough. Not so much. But the men here are pussies. They always, "Oh, do I hurt you? Are you sure?" I want to hit them and say, "Just get on with it.""

She begins to laugh again. "Oh God, Diana. You make me remember how it was with a real man. I like someone else in charge - but I miss it being so I can feel truly alive."

Honestly, the guy sounds like a bastard, but Diana's not always fallen for the best guys either. But a guy who looks like he's wearing lipstick? To each their own she supposes...

Diana keeps her eyes on Eponine as she speaks, nodding and eyebrows raising but otherwise letting the other girls finish.

"Okay." She claps her hands together. "I think what we need to do is make you see the difference between rough, fun sex and forced sex. Bit of a learning curve but I think we can do it."

She smiles as Eponine laughs. "Thankyou for the compliment."

"Yeah?" Eponine's not really sure of the difference - she hadn't really been aware of forced sex at all. It was just... was. Is.

"How?" She's suspicious though. After all, it's Diana - and although she's been being nice this evening to Eponine, there's nothing to say it'll carry on. It might be like Harley - that thought alone brings the blush back to her cheeks.

"Crash course. Basically, if you're not in control, it's forced and you stop it. You nip that right in the bud. Literally, if he doesn't listen."

There's a sweet tone of her voice and smile on her face as she says this. "Nothing makes a guy listen more than a well placed grab and squeeze."

"He can be pulling your hair, pressing on you, be all hard and rough and fun, but if you feel it needs to stop, even midway through, he should stop when you say so. If he does, then it's fine. You can pick up again later and that's sex. If he doesn't, that's forced. And what do we do?"

She looks at Eponine expectantly.

"We squeeze their penis." Eponine repeats the mantra as a child recites a school lesson. Her forehead wrinkles as she thinks about the technicalities. "Is it difficult to do? And they might just ignore it. So many times did I hit Montparnasse to make him stop, but he never did. I think he would have knocked me out cold if I had squeezed his penis in such a way."

"Close, but no. His balls. And trust me. After a hit to the balls they won't be doing anything. Plenty of time to get up and stroll out of there."

Diana's eyes keep drifting as they talk.

"Okay, Eps, don't have a freak out on me but can I please just fix... This?" She gestures to the matted and gathered up hair around Eponine's head.

"Oh!" She bursts out into laughter again. "I should have known that much at least!" She wrinkles her nose at Diana's question. "You wish to play with my hair? You shall have a hard time to get a brush in it. Since they drowned me in the last arena, they sent me alive as it was in Paris, so I just tie it up. Eva, my Mama, she used to plait it."

She goes quiet. Eva's in jail. Maybe even dead.

"Don't plait it."

"I'm not going to plait it, just fix it."

She shakes her own hair. "Maybe wave it a little."

Diana stands and nods to the bathroom. "Come on, I can't do a thing with it dry and tangled."

Eponine follows Diana into the bathroom. "You wish me to wash it? You know, you are not so bad as I think you are."

"Oh, don't get your hopes up, sweetie." She carries some on the not destroyed pillows into the bathroom and drops them on the floor by the bath.

"I'm a horrible person." She pat's Eponine's arm. "I just like you."

She grabs a towel and throws it around Eponine's neck and shoulders. "Alright, sit with your back against the bath."

"Except you have already learned what you teach me."

It's kinda reassuring to know that at least one person looking out for Eponine hasn't necessarily got Eponine's best interests at heart all the time. It's normal, and that is refreshing.

Eponine does as she's told and unties the rag keeping most of her hair back off her face, and dumps her curls over the edge of the bath.

"Well, yeah. Can't teach what you don't know."

She pulls the shower head down to start rinsing the dark hair before apply a healthy dose of shampoo and working fingers right through to Eponine's scalp.

Diana's fingers tugging at the knots feels really good. It hurts, yes, but it still reminds her of home. Eponine closes her eyes.

"Like that - that is how he used to pull it. It feels nice, no?"

Diana pauses before she rinses the shampoo out.

"You know, if you're hitting on me, you'll have to get some new bedsheets first."

She chuckles and selects a wide toothed comb. Applying generous amounts of conditioner to Eponine's hair, she starts trying to brush it, working through each tangle and knot individually so as not to rag half of the girls hair out.

It's a time consuming chore, but the more she does it, the less fight Eponine's hair puts up.

"Hitting on you? Like -" Eponine starts, shocked. "You don't think - I am not a degenerate! Am I?"

Oh, but Diana's comb does feel too good to complain too much, so Eponine shuts her mouth and settles back to enjoy.

"Well, technically I think the ship has sailed for both of us on that front."

The comb runs through smoother at the top now so she works on the knots at the bottom. "In fact, most of us probably."

"Has the Capitol made you...?" Eponine reaches up to stop Diana's hand. "Have they made you go with men I know some of us. I have... You also?"
