Are you, Are you coming to the tree? [Open!]

WHO| Katniss and YOU
WHAT| Just arriving~
WHEN| 5/2 (What a lovely almost birthday present...)
WHERE| Wandering, I guess. Otherwise just the Tribute's quarters...

She didn't know what to do with herself right now. No Peeta, No Haymitch. No one was in this room with her. So she just wandered, leaving the room that looked too much like her room on the train for her liking. She wanted more than anything to be back in District 12. She'd even stay in her house in Victor's Square without complaint if that wish was granted to her.

She hated everything about the Capitol with every fiber of her being. Yet, she would continue to follow Haymitch's advice from her first games: Stay alive. And so she walks with quiet, sure, steps with that thought in mind.

Stay alive.

Annie had been wandering the hallways, pointedly avoiding returning to the party she'd been at most of the day. She can't remember where she left her shoes, but the carpet is soft and squishy between her bare toes; far better than the steep stilettos her stylist had strapped to her that morning. Plus she likes the paintings on the walls here, so she's fairly content to remain vaguely lost. The crowds and the noise and the televisions and the cameras have all been a little too much, and she'd had to get away.

It's wandering the hallway - she can't even be sure where she'd been going at first - that she spies the other girl at a near distance. She blinks at her a moment, thinks that this girl looks incredibly familiar though she's quite certain they have never met.

Annie does her best not to see, not to pay attention; not to people in the Capitol, not to the Games. But the world is saturated. Inundated. She would have had to be living under a rock to not know who Katniss Everdeen, the girl on fire, was. And much as she often wishes she had been, Annie had not been under a rock for the past year.

She almost panics at first, unsure if she should even say hello. Katniss was so... new to all of this. Annie doesn't expect the other girl to even know who she is. She never expects anyone to know, really, but they often do. But she simply doesn't want to trouble the girl any more than she probably is. Then again, Annie is looking right at her. It would be strange to pretend that she hasn't been staring. But maybe she is a little strange, since all she does is stare at her, still too nervous to speak.

She startles at the greeting, even though she knows she probably shouldn't have. She has to take a small calming little breath before she replies, just to try and pretend that she hadn't been startled for no reason, even though it's a pretty futile attempt and Annie knows it.

"Hello," she says and tries to smile, but it probably comes across as looking a little terrified, so she tries to cover it up by continuing to speak, but she can't think of anything to say so she settles on asking the first thing that comes to mind. "Are you....are you Katniss?"

"I... um... Annie," she tells her and as though if for half a second she had almost forgotten, and then moves to smooth out the imaginary creases in her dress as she continued to explain. "I... we haven't met I don't think. I'm from District 4."

Her eyes go wide at the mention of Finnick. She's always so afraid she will say the wrong things to the wrong people about him, and she has no idea if she can trust this girl to keep anything secret should Annie accidentally slip up and say more than she should.

"I am, yes," she nods at the question about her name. "And he's... um, Finnick is very friendly, I guess you could say."
