| WHO | Ariadne, Elias, and any of the other mentors who want to jump in WHAT | watching the Games WHEN | a few nights into the Arena WHERE | the mentors' green room WARNINGS / NOTES | none right now; will update as necessary
Ariadne found very quickly that she didn't really enjoy the Games much more outside of the Arena. Of course, at least out here, she could put herself to some use. Getting the odd sponsor gift for some of her more preferred Tributes, those she wanted to go far, and generally ignoring the rest of them.
At that particular moment, she was only paying just enough attention to know exactly what was happening; her other eye was on the rest of the room, keeping watch over the other mentors. |

| WHO| Everyone! WHAT| A Halloween Ball WHEN| Halloween night WHERE| The Tribute Center WARNING/NOTES| None atm. Please tag in your subject lines if anything comes up. The Capitol had been winding up to this for weeks. More and more extravagant decorations had begun to appear all over the city. Gruesome alleys dripping with gore, houses transformed into creaking, ancient cobweb covered dwellings, flickering ghosts haunting windows and doorways. The citizens themselves had becomes more and more extravagant as the days crept closer, dripping in glitters spiderwebs, hair teased to coil around pumpkins and crows, and decked out in meticulous costumes, often celebrating past victors, and even current tributes. The ball at the Tribute Training Center wasn't anywhere near the only party that night, but it was the most extravagant, and the most sought after. The decorations had gone towards the classic (perhaps the goverment realizing other areas might move too close to home.) The building had been transformed into a spooky, ancient looking mansion, over taken by spiders and lit with flickering candles everywhere. The tables were spread with unimaginable heaping of treats, from grotesqueness mock organs to sparkling jewel colored sugar covered candies. Avoxs move about, for once literally ghosts, covered in their own shrouds of spider webs and sheer gauze, holding plates of smoking drinks. Attendance for the Tributes was mandatory. As were costumes. And oh boy did their stylists go all out for this one. It was a parade and a party all rolled into ones and they weren't going to slack on that. - Tags:commander shepard, wyatt earp, ✘ alex rider, ✘ anna morasca, ✘ annie cresta, ✘ ariadne, ✘ charlotte "lottie" la bouff, ✘ chris redfield, ✘ dean winchester, ✘ donatello, ✘ dr. grey, ✘ draco malfoy, ✘ effie trinket, ✘ eliot spencer, ✘ max guevara, ✘ neeshka, ✘ sasuke uchiha, ✘ some ovmennet, ✘ tony stark

| WHO| Annie Cresta & Some ovMennet WHAT| A meeting of sorts WHEN| Mid-Arena 03 WHERE| Outside the Training Center WARNINGS/NOTES| None as of yet
Back home, Annie had always liked to go on walks. The ocean had always had a calming, rhythmic, soothing effect that calmed her. Kept her grounded. The Capitol was about as far away from the sea as she could get, and there was almost nothing calming or soothing here that she could find. But she couldn't stand just keeping herself locked away all the time. Besides, she found that if she was out and about, it kept their District 4 escort - a woman that Annie had never liked - from hounding her about her 'responsibilities as a victor' and her 'duty to all of Panem.'
So, Annie went for walks. Sometimes just around the building, the common areas where people could see her and maybe come to assume that she was doing 'important mentor duties,' but she preferred the less-frequented areas more. The gardens around back, and the rooftops, the hallways of the South Wing. Today her walk found her near the Training Center. She hadn't exactly meant to go there. She had been following the long smooth lines on the floor to see how far they went, and before she knew it, she was there. In a place she had not been to for years.
The fear in here did not boil over as she expected. The flood of memories kept themselves safe behind the damn she tries so hard to maintain. Instead, all she does is stare ahead, down the hallway she knows will lead her into the training center gymnasium. She stares, long and hard and tells herself that she is not afraid. That this is only hallway.
It is only the sound of movement that breaks her stare.

| WHO| Everyone WHAT| Backstage for a round of interviews with the one and only Caesar Flickerman WHEN| The closing ceremonies of Arena 02. WHERE| A stage set up in one of the ballrooms of the Training Center WARNINGS/NOTES| Find a setting in the threads below to tag into! A post will be made later for the actual interviews themselves.
It was clear the Capitol was nervous.
After the accidental trigger of the pod last celebration, this round the Capitol was "treating" the audience to one on one interviews with all the Tributes. A treat meant to keep everyone tucked at home for viewing parties.
The south wing of the Training Center had been made into a high security studio, light flooding one of the large ballrooms, while the tributes themselves were shuffled into dressing rooms and primped by their stylists, prepared to go on stage by their mentors, and generally left to wait their turn. - Tags:commander shepard, npc: darius, wyatt earp, ✘ annie cresta, ✘ ariadne, ✘ charlotte "lottie" la bouff, ✘ derek morgan, ✘ donatello, ✘ dr. grey, ✘ effie trinket, ✘ elias nehemiah, ✘ eliot spencer, ✘ emily prentiss, ✘ finnick odair, ✘ garrus vakarian, ✘ haymitch abernathy, ✘ max guevara, ✘ tony stark

| WHO| EVERYONE! WHAT| A party. A big one. 1 is cheering Max on and going all out. WHEN| The day before the end of the Games. WHERE| All the open banquet rooms in the Training center. NOTE| Party post tag in.
The acid rain theme was still going strong.
In the main banquet hall a light rain feel over the whole room. Tents and awning were set up all over, and each guest was given a clear umbrella, the handle and ribs lighting up a rainbow of colors.
Light caught the rain, turning it colors as it fell, and huge ice sculptures dotted the rooms, "dissolving" as the way ran over them. District 1 had decided, at least, to aim for abstract sculptures, feeling replicas of the tributes might go a bit too far.
The food was, as always, extravagant and over the top. Blues and greens, fruits, juices, and succulent seafood's.
And, as always, everyone who was anyone was there. |
|
| WHO| Open to anyone who can find the place WHAT| Val is rejoining society WHEN| Sometime in the fourth week of the Games (a bit before the acid rain begins) WHERE| The roof of the building where her workshop is located, in the Stylist part of town? WARNING/NOTES| Party post, tag as you like! ( The invitation, posted on the network )( The party ) |

| WHO| Any Victors, and every tribute as they are removed from the arena. WHAT| The Capitol would like to pick your brain. WHEN| Each person is approached separately, so you can specify when and where they came from. WHERE| A government office building WARNING/NOTES| This is mandatory IC. If for some reason OOC you cannot tag in (hiatus, etc) talk to a mod and we can handwave thing.
Much like the Victors who were currently missing, each victor or tribute was approached by a pair in sleek, all black suits, with friendly smiles, who none the less were quite firm in leading their targets away.
It was, from there, a short trip to a very nondescript looking Capitol building, in cars so heavily tinted it would be hard even for those familiar with the city to know where they ended up. From there they are lead to an elevator, which goes down, deep, and out into a white hall way. The first door slid open to a room, as blank as everything else, where a small, slightly pudgy woman with blood red a-line hair gave a wide smile.

| WHO| EVERYONE in the Capitol! No literally, everyone. WHAT| The crowning of Shepard as this round's victor, a celebration, and an unfortunate surprise. WHEN | A week after Shepard kills Kaidan. WHERE | The whole city. All of it. NOTES | Your character can be anywhere. Please make sure to specify setting/time in your subject bar. The crowning ceremony made every other party pale in comparison. The whole city exploded into an over-the-top expression of debauchery and revelry. Everywhere a person went, there was food on open towers, drinks flowing freely, and fireworks lighting up the sky. President Snow's crowning of Shepard went flawlessly. She had made it out of the Arena in fairly good shape, and District 9's stylist had rose to the occasion. The crowd was obviously eating her up; a victor who came out of the arena as something other than a broken child. The party ran long into the night. And it was luck for those who found themselves far from the city center. Because around 1 am, just a few blocks away, while the party was still in full swing, someone misstepped, someone did something wrong, and a pod full of Trackerjackers was triggered off. A pod that should have been deeply dormant and entirely untriggerable. It takes a good hour for the Capitol to get them under control, sending out men in bulky suits with a spray foam, and peacekeepers to manage evacuations. By the end of the night, a few Capitol citizens closest to the pod when it burst open were not able to receive treatment fast enough and succumb to the poisonous stings to a painful and unpleasant end. The death toll is not high, or perhaps, not as high as it could have been, considering there are many people in the area who got to experience the hallucinogenic effects of the muttations' venom first hand. - Tags:commander shepard, event: crowning, ✘ annie cresta, ✘ ariadne, ✘ charlotte "lottie" la bouff, ✘ effie trinket, ✘ elias nehemiah, ✘ finnick odair, ✘ haymitch abernathy, ✘ kaidan alenko, ✘ momoko ryugasaki, ✘ tony stark

| WHO| Everyone who's anyone in the Capitol. WHAT| Effie is throwing a private party WHEN| Towards the end of the Games WHERE| A loft rented out towards the edge of town. WARNING/NOTES| Treat like any party post, tag amongst yourselves!
They were down and out for this rounds, but with the new idea of the Games, Effie wasn't going to take a break. The Games would not be forgotten to the general public until next year like usual, and after getting out not one tribute but two Effie was not happy about being out so fast. She was determined they would do better next round.
So since they weren't worried about keeping tributes alive, Effie had made an effort to keep District 12 on people's radar in other ways. She had spare not expense for this party, and it looked like it. The whole pace was decked out in vivid reds, oranges and yellows. Vases of glowing coals sat in the middle of the tables, and Effie has designed the food and drink menus to contain as much spicy and outright flaming food as she could. She had no idea what they actually ate in 12, but she was running with this fire theme for all it was worth. She had invited as many interesting people as she could, and as many wealthy, and been pleased when the two overlapped.
And she, of course, matched the whole theme. As should the rest of her team when they showed up. |
