He's used to sweet fizzy drinks after all. This is a very different sort of taste than the kind he's come to associate with parties. Even the few glasses of wine he had before the Capitol caught on to troll drinking habits didn't taste like this.

"It do no be being good beer, good beer do be being made with honey but they do no be having any of that here." She sighed but smiled at him, "What drinks do trolls be having?" Because it was probably different.

"Have you had sodas, in the Capitol? That's the sort of thing that's popular on Alternia. The higher castes have preferred kinds, even. The Initiate might have told you about his wicked elixirs."

"Oh he did be doing!" She nodded, "But we did no be finding any so I did no be trying them." They were like the sodas... Pruna thought the sodas were okay but they made her mouth feel funny.

"They're for trolls what wine and things like it are for humans, judging by what I've seen at Capitol parties. They probably wouldn't have had the same effect on you as they would on him anyway."

And, he assumed, this beer stuff wasn't going to do much toward getting him drunk. Not that he needed it; he was actually enjoying himself just fine.

"But they would still be tasting good, right?" She asked, taking his drink to try some, since he wasn't drinking it. She wrinkled her nose "It will be being better than this beer I do be thinking."
