The advertisements hit hard today. Tune in at 6 o'clock, you won't want to miss this special! Everywhere a person could look, it was there, and the city was clearly excited for whatever this mystery event was.

As if that wasn't enough, escorts were encouraging Tributes to be in the commons, and a small feast of finger foods was laid out along one wall, extra avoxes available for drinks.

And, as promised, at 6 pm sharp, all the TVs flickered to the ever flashy Caesar, on an equally flashy tabloid-tastick reality style "interview" of the tributes. All the TVs in the common area light up with it, as well as the Districts suites, even if the TV had been off before.

What; Reacting to the arena
Where: District 11 quarters. Also, common area.
When; The final week of tournament

There was a surprising amount of numbness involved in coming back to life. Barbara's eyes opened, but she didn't pay attention to what she was seeing. People were rushing all  around her, but she didn't pay any attention to what they were saying. At some point she got up and started walking. 

Eventually, she became aware of something, beyond the fuzz of people walking by. A dark pulse of energy beating beneath her surface, like a second heart. Harder. Larger. She turned it over idly in her mind's eye, imaginary fingertips skimming across the surface. Anger, pain, hurt, grief. she felt a little sob trying to work its way out of her throat, catching in her sealed lips. She trembled.

Why was this so hard?

After doing his best to avoid the reporters, Ian had found himself scheduled for an interview. He would have just avoided it by staying as far away from the training centre as he could, but he was being watched to make sure he stayed. But a bit of dutch courage wouldn't go amiss and maybe if he messed up this interview he wouldn't be forced to endure another.

He'd had a couple of drinks when he spotted the one person he simultaneously wanted and didn't want to see. Maybe he could get this over and done with. He downed his drink and went over to the person he'd killed whose name he didn't even know.

"I'm sorry for killing you."

What| Sherlock returns from the dead and isn't very happy about it, and the events that happen leading up to and after the interview with the capitol. He'll basically be wandering around scowly-like so feel free to run into him anywhere. District 2 mates feel free to pounce on him when he gets in, and he'll also be showing up in District 7.

Warnings/Notes| You can either reply in prose or action, but please use the text area box and leave the questions bolded for mod ease. Also, nothing will be left private, she's lying. We're not sure when part 2 of this plot will happen, so feel free to take your time responding.

Through out the week, each tribute is escorted to an office room. It is a nice, posh comfortable room, with light food and drink to the tributes preference set out on the table.

A screen comes on, showing a very friendly looking, but strangely generic female. Although it is too minor to truly be noticed, the avatar is geared to subtly reflect the tribute to put them at ease, and their style is very simple for the Capitol.

The avatar speak in a calm yet friendly and engaging voice. Again, pitched to a tone similar to the tribute being interviewed.

"Hello! Given the influx of new tribute, the Capitol would like to get to know you, one by one, in your own words. Everything shared here will be between you and the screen, so feel free to speak freely!"

The woman goes through her questions, waiting for a response from the tribute. If a tribute doesn't respond, they are left in 10 minutes of silence before the next question is asked. Anything, no matter how it relates to the question, is treated as a proper answer.

What | Steph's alive! Huzzah! (We're still in deep shit).
Where | Stephanie's room at the training facility.
When | Week 8 (approximately 3 days after her death at the end of week 7).
Warnings/Notes | Do mentions of death count? This should be fairly safe.

Who| Tim Drake-Wayne and OPEN
What| The dragon attack on the tributes is shown live at a party. Tim is forced to eventually witness Stephanie Brown's death. He is not happy.
Where| A random Capitol party. Feel free to claim it as something your character threw together, or make up details as you go.
When| Late evening. When the freaking dragon shows up.
Warnings/Notes| Probable extreme violence. The dragon nightmare will be on the viewing screens at the party. Characters may mention the Tributes getting burned, maimed, eaten, etc, as the dragon log itself unfolds. ALSO: If you want to use this thread to have two other characters watch and discuss what's going on, just let me know and I won't bring Tim into it.
