(no subject)

Who| Everyone
What| A chance for the teams to meet, mingle, and, lets be honest, for goodbyes to be said.
Where| The common area.
When| Evening before the attack, about a day after Creuntus' network announcement.
Warnings/Notes| Time is going to be a little more wonky then normal, if you haven't noticed. They will be going out to attack "tomorrow" but that thread will not, likely, be posted tomorrow, to give people time to play in this one, etc.

There is food and drink, plenty of it, but no decoration, and it is clear this "party" is no sort of celebration. There is the small spattering of Peacekeepers still in the Capitol, those not on duty at the edge of the boundary.

A long table at the front has a set up for each team. Everyone has a folder with who is in their team, who is watching their team, a list of the various weapons they will have. On the list is a flame thrower, a handful of small explosives, and an automatic weapon for each team member. There are no weapons laid out for the Tributes to handle, however - those were waiting for them elsewhere, for when the mission truly started. Nor does the folder mention that the weapons all switch off outside of the combat area, but it's also not a secret, or a surprise.

Each folder also includes the rather useless stats and images they have of the creatures-the photos are blurry, the stats mainly stack up to "they are very deadly" and a collection of the various bits of information put forth by other tributes who seem to know more then the Capitol. Last, a detailed map of both the neighborhood, and the tunnels for them to study.

Another table has folders for the intel, with much of the same information. Last, a third table is set up for those that are staying at home. Those folders contain some basic first aid information, and a list with what sort of basic medical supplies and food stuff is in the training center.

Each table set up has an Avox or two to hand out the folders. Creuntus is no where to be seen, and you would be lucky to catch any of her team. She knows where she doesn't want to be. The furniture has been dragged to facilitate the conversation of small to medium sized groups. Say, about the size of a team and their Intel.

"Oh." She recognizes at least two of those names. She sparred with the turtle briefly before the start of the last arena, and her and the Initiate tackled the undead in the desert. She'd seen them both on the play-backs after returning to the Capitol and the turtle wasn't nearly as nice as she'd thought he was... The corpse didn't seem too bad, though.

"Wow, how did you land yourself with the undead corpse and the crazy shellbeast in the same group? It's like Team Shitty Animal Brigade. Your other teammate isn't a horse or a fish or something, right?"

"Random teams are random teams. And no, she's...sort of human I suppose. I'm not really sure with all the variations there seems to be." In colors, shapes, sizes. The Capitol does not give a very accurate impression of what the average human looks like.

"You aren't going to fight?"

...Terezi has to give her that much. 'Typical human' does seem to have a pretty wide range, even just within the Capitol. It's nothing at all like the range that she got from the Sburb humans.

"No, I'm not going to fight. I have better skills that they want put to use. I'm part of Intel for groups Four and Five. An almost even mix of trolls and humans."

She's a little surprised honestly, given that Terezi seemed like a fighter more than anything else. But there were sides of her that the Disciple had yet to witness, she was sure.

"Well I wish you the best with them. I'm not sure how well our dear trolls will react to being told what to do? Let alone the other humans."

"Don't worry. I intend to make it abundantly clear that they should listen to me if they want to survive the mission. I'm not responsible for the accidents that might happen if they don't." Which...probably sounds more like a threat than an assurance, but oh well. It's the truth, and she doesn't intend to skirt around that. She only has her teams' best interests in mind.

"Truly very benevolent Intel." She says with all appearance of being genuine, "I hope it all goes well then."

She wants to ask her what would happen if she gave bad intelligence or something went wrong--would she feel responsible? But that seems like bad luck to bring up.

"Is our other--what was it--memeber of the Nub Brigade, under your intelligence?"

"The most benevolent! They're lucky to get someone who gives as many fucks about their welfare as I do." ...Which wasn't an entirely inaccurate statement from Terezi's point of view. At the very least, she does care a little bit about whether these people live or die.

But the Disciple's question gets a bit of hesitation out of Terezi. She obviously doesn't mean Signless. He's not a fighter, so he wouldn't be out there. So she must be talking about Karkat. "...Yeah. He's in one of my groups." Unfortunately.

"I wish you luck then. I hope you both come out of this okay."

Since Terezi is in fact free from harm, it's not clear what she means by that. But she looks sympathetic enough. She can't imagine dealing with the Psiionic on her team and she really still cares for him.

"We'll be fine. I think I'm going to have Redglare communicate with him, anyway. If I can. It's just easier than forcing him to listen to me, when the forcing could take time that none of us have."

And it saves her the pain of trying to deal with him. A win-win for all parties, as far as she's concerned.
