Who| Everyone
What| A chance for the teams to meet, mingle, and, lets be honest, for goodbyes to be said.
Where| The common area.
When| Evening before the attack, about a day after Creuntus' network announcement.
Warnings/Notes| Time is going to be a little more wonky then normal, if you haven't noticed. They will be going out to attack "tomorrow" but that thread will not, likely, be posted tomorrow, to give people time to play in this one, etc.

There is food and drink, plenty of it, but no decoration, and it is clear this "party" is no sort of celebration. There is the small spattering of Peacekeepers still in the Capitol, those not on duty at the edge of the boundary.

A long table at the front has a set up for each team. Everyone has a folder with who is in their team, who is watching their team, a list of the various weapons they will have. On the list is a flame thrower, a handful of small explosives, and an automatic weapon for each team member. There are no weapons laid out for the Tributes to handle, however - those were waiting for them elsewhere, for when the mission truly started. Nor does the folder mention that the weapons all switch off outside of the combat area, but it's also not a secret, or a surprise.

Each folder also includes the rather useless stats and images they have of the creatures-the photos are blurry, the stats mainly stack up to "they are very deadly" and a collection of the various bits of information put forth by other tributes who seem to know more then the Capitol. Last, a detailed map of both the neighborhood, and the tunnels for them to study.

Another table has folders for the intel, with much of the same information. Last, a third table is set up for those that are staying at home. Those folders contain some basic first aid information, and a list with what sort of basic medical supplies and food stuff is in the training center.

Each table set up has an Avox or two to hand out the folders. Creuntus is no where to be seen, and you would be lucky to catch any of her team. She knows where she doesn't want to be. The furniture has been dragged to facilitate the conversation of small to medium sized groups. Say, about the size of a team and their Intel.

Armin almost didn't see Eren coming, and couldn't really help the small squeak that came out of him when Eren squeezed him. "Eren!" He returned the hug, because it was always good to see his friend in one piece. He'd take whatever he could get right now.

As glad as he was to see him, it was back to business. "What's going on here? What kind place is this?" In hindsight, Eren probably wasn't the best person to ask about this, but he was the only person he could trust.

He squeezes him tighter for just a moment, before pulling back and checking him over. He pats at Armin's arms and shoulders, quietly checking for any injuries. When he decides that, yes, Armin is whole enough, conversation can continue, he gives Armin the most serious look he can muster.

"This is some place called the Capitol. They have some sort of organized death match where only one person can survive, but death...isn't permanent."

That's a good enough explanation, right?

His eyes got wide. Sure he got the Eren version, but that confirmed what he'd been told already. "Not permanent? How is that even possible?" That lead him down a train of thought that turned his stomach, but he ignored it for now. There was something else more important to deal with here.

"But what's all this? I hurried down here as quickly as I could after I woke up." He didn't say what he suspected, but he was sure the same thing would come to Eren's mind first. He just hoped it was something else. nearly anything else. The only people with Titan experience here were without the critical weapons they needed to dispatch them. Of course Eren could...

"I wish I could answer that." As far as he can tell, nobody actually knows how it's possible. Not that Eren has talked to a lot of people about it, but he's asked a few of the people who look like they're a part of the people controlling all of this, and none of them had any decent answers.

"I'm not really sure. When I got here there was something about a gas leak?" Which is weird, because why would gas leaking be a big deal? "And then that it wasn't a gas leak, and some weird monsters are killing indiscriminately and they need to be taken out. I guess they figure that since we're already expendable, we should be the ones to take care of them." He shrugs, glancing around the room before settling his gaze back on Armin. "But I think I'll be okay."

Armin could only conclude that it was a different kind of gas than they used in the 3DMG. Something poisonous or explosive. But why would something like that be running through the city to be able to leak?

"Monsters..." he supposed Titans wouldn't be underground, since they aren't active at night. Certain special cases exempted, of course. He caught sight of them handing out the folders. "Wait here, Eren." He could be seen talking to the various Avoxes, and as soon as he realized they were mute, he seemed to have shrank up a bit. He was directed to about three different tables, and looked very surprised about something when he was sent to the last after being given a folder. He was given yet another, and finally returned to Eren.

"They actually had one for me," he said as he handed Eren one with his name on it. His voice wasn't so resolute about that, and he let out a nervous laugh. They'd somehow known he'd be here just in time...

Eren nods dumbly, and he's not surprised. He knew all along that Armin would know what to do, that he would know what needed to be asked and what had to be done.

He shews his bottom lip nervously, trying to make heads or tails about anything that's going on. After a moment of doing his best to come up with a reason that they would have a folder for Armin, he shrugs. "Maybe they work really quickly? Or..."

Or they knew he would be there from the start, and Eren doesn't want to consider the implications.

"Or they knew I was being brought here," he finished for him. As creepy as that was, he pressed on to the contents. He opened them both, and directed the information about weaponry to Eren, while he arranged the information about the creatures themselves to pour over. Such as there was, anyway.

He nods, chewing on his bottom lip as he looks at the information presented to him. Half of these weapons don't even seem real...

After a moment of quiet contemplation, he looks up. "It would make sense, though. If they're bringing us here, they would know enough to have a file for you." There's a brief pause, and if he keeps biting his lip he's going to bite right through it. "Do you...think there are files for anyone we know?"

"I don't believe so," he replied. "I caught a glimpse of the full rosters when I was up there. I didn't see any other names of people we knew on it. One of the mutes looked at it when I gave him our names." He would much prefer to move on from that particular line of questioning, and on to the task at hand.

He found a pen and started making notes and circlng and underlining things on some of the printouts, marking up what he considered to be the most important information. "No external weaknesses, but weak to fire, and their blood is instantly corrosive..." he muttered to himself. What kind of creatures were these? And that's not even taking into account their method of reproduction.

But then his eyes got big after he had started to read a new page. "Eren, your team is going after their queen! She's even bigger than the drones. She's the size of a 5 meter class Titan!"
