Who: Azula and Open to All
What: People watching and making herself available.
Where: The Training Center Bar
When: Anytime, pick.
warnings: Nothing yet but give it time.
Before the arena, Azula had never drank. Not seriously really.
Sure the occasional glass of bubbly or wine at one of her fathers business parties, but she had always been so focused on her goals of physical and mental perfection that she had dismissed the opportunity to drink enough to be buzzed or tipsy.
Now of course as the little bottle of Morphling in her pocket reminded her, her mind would never be perfect, so what could some alcohol hurt?
Still she was technically working so every drink she purchased she nursed her drink slowly and lingered over every drop. It would not due to have the newly returned mentor getting drunk in public. But staking out a corner booth in the bar where she could watch everyone and keep an eye out for Sponsors, tributes and other mentors was perfectly reasonable. It was for this reason she chose a booth facing the door where she would be very visible.
She really shouldn't be drinking in the first place given her medication needs. But this was one of the few areas where Azula scoffed at the law and did something she knew was bad for her simply for the case of "Because I want to shut up."

"You're getting an early start." She points to Azula's drink.

"I've been up for awhile now. First my own daily exercises, then making my rounds to see if anyone needs me or wants to train while some of the other tributes focus on their inner health."
no subject
"Well, someone's certainly eager." She takes another sip of her drink.
"Actually, I mean it's rather early to be drinking already."

"Maybe for some. But I enjoy the taste and have a high tolerance. Of course I wouldn't over do it." She winked playfully, "I am a professional after all."
She considered for a moment throwing Indiana under the bus by pointing out he was a classified alcoholic, but what respect she held for him made her stay silent.
"Rich in antioxidants as well."

This mornings ritual of fiercely brushing her teeth until her gums felt sore and tender were still fresh in her mind. The memories of scurvy nearly forcing her to grip at the toothbrush and scrub until her mouth bled from the deep clean.

She gestured to the empty seats surrounding her booth inviting Diana to join her for however long she would stay.

"So, how are my district buddies doing?"
no subject
"It will just take some training to round you all out. Give each of you more skills to use when the opportunity arises. Focus your training on your specialties in some places."
no subject
"And how often is that going to happen?"
no subject
"Oh well, I'd like to work with you each in turn. Maybe a little bit every day till I find the areas you need to focus on. Those who need more help can get more time. But it all boils down to what you're willing to do. I can't force you to train after all but if you don't want to die again."
no subject
"Alright, I get it. So, I'll be seeing you everyday?"
no subject
"Looking forward to it I hope?"
no subject
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?"
no subject
"I'm sure we'll grow very close over time. And someday when you're in the winners circle I can hold my head high with pride for having gotten you there."

Smirking, she shakes the dark locks out, long waves tumbling over her shoulders, running her hand through. "You do know I'm not much of a fighter, right?"
no subject
"You can be better. I can make you better." She promised and after a moment "Unless you like having a new horrible death every month or so?

"Then listen to me, do as I say and you will improve until you no longer will have to worry about losing in the arena. Your superiority will shine through."
no subject
"You sound like someone I know."

"As if I would be concerned about it. I am not only new but I assure you, better. And right now I'm your best hope for surviving the Arena and never having to go back."

" Tell me more about yourself. I want to know everything." She insisted in a no nonsense sort of way. She would do this with all her tributes sooner or later but Diana was here now.
