Who: Azula and Open to All
What: People watching and making herself available.
Where: The Training Center Bar
When: Anytime, pick.
warnings: Nothing yet but give it time.
Before the arena, Azula had never drank. Not seriously really.
Sure the occasional glass of bubbly or wine at one of her fathers business parties, but she had always been so focused on her goals of physical and mental perfection that she had dismissed the opportunity to drink enough to be buzzed or tipsy.
Now of course as the little bottle of Morphling in her pocket reminded her, her mind would never be perfect, so what could some alcohol hurt?
Still she was technically working so every drink she purchased she nursed her drink slowly and lingered over every drop. It would not due to have the newly returned mentor getting drunk in public. But staking out a corner booth in the bar where she could watch everyone and keep an eye out for Sponsors, tributes and other mentors was perfectly reasonable. It was for this reason she chose a booth facing the door where she would be very visible.
She really shouldn't be drinking in the first place given her medication needs. But this was one of the few areas where Azula scoffed at the law and did something she knew was bad for her simply for the case of "Because I want to shut up."

"As if I would be concerned about it. I am not only new but I assure you, better. And right now I'm your best hope for surviving the Arena and never having to go back."

" Tell me more about yourself. I want to know everything." She insisted in a no nonsense sort of way. She would do this with all her tributes sooner or later but Diana was here now.

"Of course. I'm supposed to help you win. The best way for me to do that is to know everything about you so we can decide best what to work on."
no subject
"Well, I'm not too great at fighting I'm afraid."
no subject
"We can fix that. Keep going, what are you good at?"

Waving to the servant Azula signaled them and they brought some snacks for the girls, crunchy salty things and cheesy crispy things as well as a few different dipping plates of various levels of spice.
Dipping a cheesy crispy into a spicy sauce she gestured for Diana to help herself.
"Let's start with your upbringing. What was your life like in your world?"

Eating also helped her avoid the question. She just shrugged as she chewed.

And redundant, after all those psychologists in Coates.

"That's not important. They'll find a way to spice it up. They always do. But I need to know now."
no subject
Dipping it in the sauce she added. "Stuff happened, I'm here now. Isn't that most of the people here in a nutshell?"
no subject
Really wasn't it obvious?
"And being your mentor, when I ask you something I would hope for less dancing around the answer. I'm only trying to help."
no subject
She tosses a handful of snacks in her mouth to chew on before continuing. "Know what people are going to find interesting? A mystery. Guessing. Trying to figure out why I'm the way I am. Catching my dropped hints. Trying to fix me."
Her tongue darts out to gather the cheese on her lips. "What I am is a bitch." She fixes Azula with an incredibly confident and sexy smirk. "And everyone secretly loves a bitch."
no subject
"That really is such a wonderful crass word for it." She mused. "But even if we don't tell the rest of the world, there's no reason for you to hold back from me. I'm your mentor after all. If you don't want them to know that's all well and good, but your survival very much depends on what I can do for you."
no subject
"Instead of all my dull emotional baggage and teenage angst, how about we try and fix the fact that I'm useless in a fight?"
Her hand instinctively rubs her neck. "A few self defense classes would be good."
no subject
"It's not going to be fun, but it will help you stand a better chance at a longer more productive life then if you remained as you are."
no subject
She'd gone a long time without fun, she can do with taking it in portions now.
no subject
"Of course the idea is to be entertaining while you fight for survival. You have the added benefit of being given multiple chances. But I'm not sure how much longer they'll allow returning tributes. It's bound to be dull sooner or later if no one actually stays dead." She mused playing with her straw and letting Diana have the lions share of their snacks.
no subject
"Let's hope I've won them over by that point then."
no subject
"Yes well, we can of course be more proactive then just hoping for what we want." Gently she plucked Diana's foot off the table and moved it enough to drop it to the floor hoping she would get the hint and move the other one.
"Like practicing proper manners."

She lifts her foot back up to cross it over her other leg in playful defiance, a smirk tugging at her pouting lips. "Feel free to keep touching my leg though. Your hands are warm."
