Even after all the excitement and dancing Pruna woke up a few hours after she went to bed, alert and ready. She sighed because here there were no guardians waiting for her to turn up to lessons, and she got into trouble if she left the suit this late at night. So there was nothing to do but lie in bed and try and go back to sleep.

Her thoughts wouldn't be quiet though as she thought about the dancing and everything she had learned, and how she was Sandy's friend now. She was also thinking about what Wesker had said, and how she had had parents once because everyone did.

She frowned, she wondered if Sandy knew that. She sat up and making her decision padded out of her room, and across the hall into Sandy's.

"Do you be being awake?"

"But I did be already killing loads of people." She pointed out, "And I do no be minding, I might no be deserving to be happy but that do no be meaning I can no be stealing happiness anyways."

Because Pruna was one of the best thieves in her part of Gauig, and felt no need not to brag about that fact.

And then her eyes glinted and she whispered, "And we will be going home. I do be promising you."

Something about those eyes sent shivers through Sandy. She believed Pruna completely.

"So I just keep standing behind you and let you do all the hard work?" It worked well enough in the last arena, but that didn't mean Sandy had to like it.

She shook her head, "No you do be needing to be learning to fight. Some people do be being too strong for me until I do be getting better, and you need to be able to be getting away if they do be killing me, or fighting if we do be being separated. But you can be fighting and running and leaving the killing to me."

The scruffy girl nodded, that made more sense at least.

"I'll keep getting better...but you deserve to be happy too. I was wrong before." And she wouldn't let her best friend keep trying so hard to keep her alive without trying to make her happy.

Pruna smiled at that and wriggled further under the covers, she was glad Sandy thought she deserved to be happy. Because she was happy, even though she wanted to go home, and everyone here was stupid and she had a stupid cuff on her wrist she also had a friend, a friend who didn't mind if Pruna killed people and didn't try to hurt her because of it and they would win and find a way home.

Sandy snuggled up to Pruna the way they had so many nights in the last arena. Except now her leg wasn't so delicate and painful so she didn't have to worry about getting too close to the warmth of her friend.

After a moment another thought crept across her head and she voiced it softly.

"Hey Pruna...do you think I'd be happy in your world?"

Pruna wrinkled her nose as she thought about that. "My world do be being big so you would be being happy somewhere... I do no be thinking you would be liking the Poison Apple though and my guardians would no be liking you." Pruna had no doubt about that at least."

She was silent a moment, "But my sister would be liking you. And if we did be finding you somewhere you did be liking to be living I think you could be being happy."

That comforted her and she relaxed.

"Good...because when we find a way to go home, I'd like to go back with you if that's OK...or take you with me to my home. But my home kinda sucks so..."

It wasn't as bad as living in the Capitol but well...

"You do be wanting to be coming with me?" Pruna blinked at her. "My world do be being different than here though. We do no be having TVs or transporters or those things." She waved up at the ceiling lights.

She thought about it though, "You would be having to be living with the thieves I would be thinking. They would be taking you in because they do be knowing I could be knocking all their teeth out if they did no be."

Sandy nodded trying to imagine a life like that.

"Yeah my world was...more advanced too. But there were monsters raining down from the sky when I left. I don't know what's going to be left when I get there. And even before the monsters the police were super strict and there was a massive web around the city that kept us locked away from the rest of the world."

She didn't think Pruna would like that much.

She was right, Pruna's nose wrinkled. She didn't like the idea of Sandy going back to a place like that. There were monsters in Pruna's world as well but not in the city and not falling from the sky.

"That do be sounding stupid." She said. Decision made.

"Yeah...I hear the rest of the world is different outside the dome. People with powers don't have to hide. The group decides what's best for the city rather then one single guy...and it doesn't always rain. But wherever I go, I'd rather have my best friend with me." She brushed her hand over Pruna's gently, as if confirming she was really there.

Pruna blinked at her, she had forgotten almost that Sandy had powers. "You would no be needing to be hiding in my world. People with powers do be being very important. You could be being a priestess like Priestess Elena."

She smiled even wider, "And I could be being your warrior like Kant do be being." She giggled, she knew she was being silly, and she would end up being whatever it was decided she should be. She doubted that was being a warrior.

"Oh yeah?" That made Sandy smile. "What would we do together then? Warrior Ashley and Priestess Sandy?" She stifled a chuckle at the idea of her wearing a black uniform with little white collar and sitting in a confessional listening to peoples problems.

"Fighting monsters!" Pruna grinned, "Or you could be healing, lots of priestesses can be healing but there do be a god whose followers do be being dedicated to healing. And I would be protecting you! That's what warriors do be doing."

She shrugged, they would have problems of course since Pruna served the dark god. But Pruna didn't want to think about that. Because Sandy was her first friend and she didn't want to think of her being her enemy as well.

"Cool! I'm not like...a medic or whatever but I could at least be patching you up while we go fight monsters." Sandy liked that idea a great deal.

Something stuck out in her brain though, the exact thing Pruna probably didn't want to stick in there and Sandy asked about it. "So wait...there's more then one god?"

Pruna nodded, "Yes there do be being six." She told her, "Most people do no be even knowing the difference between the five bright gods, but I do be." She grinned, "They do be overseeing, Healing, Knowledge, War, Justice and Discovery."

Sandy nodded and adjusted how she was laying to get more comfortable while she thought it over.

"So do you like...worship all of them at the same time? Or only when you're doing the stuff that they are all about?"

"Well most light followers do be worshiping all five bright gods, and then be dedicating some things to each one. In the temple though the priests and priestesses do be chosing just one to be dedicating themselves to."

That was easy enough.

"So because of my powers I'd be a priestess and I'd have to pick one...who do you follow?" It made sense that if Pruna thought a god was good enough then Sandy would trust in her judgement.

Pruna lay still a moment. She wasn't ashamed of her god, of course she wasn't. She was proud to serve the god of darkness, but her guardians had always told her that light addled would hate her for it.

She didn't know what she would do if Sandy hated her. "I do be worshiping the sixth god." She said, because denying your god was blasphemous and loyalty was greater than friendship.

"It do be being the god of chaos."

Cassy grinned. Yeah chaos sounded like something Pruna would be into.

"So what's that god like?" These gods already didn't sound like the kind of gods they taught about in the churches she'd been to. And chaos would have NEVER have been encouraged.

"Followers of the god of chaos do be seeking to bring about chaos and darkness. It do be being the most secretive gods because the followers of the bright gods do be hating us and we do be being at war." Pruna explained wrinkling her nose. Sandy didn't seem mad though, which was a good start.

"We will be winning though."

She wasn't sure what she was expecting, but it made sense as Pruna explained. Of course the light gods would be at war with the dark god. And of course Pruna would be on the bad guys side given how good she was at killing and hurting others.

Once upon a time Sandy would have protested. She'd have tried to get Pruna to see that it was bad to do these things but that way of thinking hadn't done anything for her so far.

"So what would I have to do if I wanted to follow your god?"

Pruna blinked in surprise and then her face broke out into a smile. "Well you do just be needing to be trying to serve chaos all the time. Most people do no even be dedicated to one god until they do be being an adult. I did be being dedicated when I did be being little though. But there do be being lots of things you can be doing, as long as it do be spreading darkness."
