Even after all the excitement and dancing Pruna woke up a few hours after she went to bed, alert and ready. She sighed because here there were no guardians waiting for her to turn up to lessons, and she got into trouble if she left the suit this late at night. So there was nothing to do but lie in bed and try and go back to sleep.

Her thoughts wouldn't be quiet though as she thought about the dancing and everything she had learned, and how she was Sandy's friend now. She was also thinking about what Wesker had said, and how she had had parents once because everyone did.

She frowned, she wondered if Sandy knew that. She sat up and making her decision padded out of her room, and across the hall into Sandy's.

"Do you be being awake?"

Cassy grinned. Yeah chaos sounded like something Pruna would be into.

"So what's that god like?" These gods already didn't sound like the kind of gods they taught about in the churches she'd been to. And chaos would have NEVER have been encouraged.

"Followers of the god of chaos do be seeking to bring about chaos and darkness. It do be being the most secretive gods because the followers of the bright gods do be hating us and we do be being at war." Pruna explained wrinkling her nose. Sandy didn't seem mad though, which was a good start.

"We will be winning though."

She wasn't sure what she was expecting, but it made sense as Pruna explained. Of course the light gods would be at war with the dark god. And of course Pruna would be on the bad guys side given how good she was at killing and hurting others.

Once upon a time Sandy would have protested. She'd have tried to get Pruna to see that it was bad to do these things but that way of thinking hadn't done anything for her so far.

"So what would I have to do if I wanted to follow your god?"

Pruna blinked in surprise and then her face broke out into a smile. "Well you do just be needing to be trying to serve chaos all the time. Most people do no even be dedicated to one god until they do be being an adult. I did be being dedicated when I did be being little though. But there do be being lots of things you can be doing, as long as it do be spreading darkness."

Yep...definitely evil.

Maybe it was the drugged tea in her system, or maybe it was just the thrill of having a friend. But she wasn't about to hold back now.

"If it means I get to stay with you, darkness it is."

"You would be doing that?" Pruna stared up at her, as if unable to believe that Sandy would chose such a thing, not just because of her anyways.

"Even if it did be meaning you did be having to be killing people?"

She hesitated. Of course she hesitated. She was always quick on her feet but it took her so long to make choices.

"My world sucks...this world sucks less but it still sucks. You're the first friend I've really had in either of them."

Could she really take a life though? It went against everything her father used to tell her in stories of heroes and a brighter happier world of freedom.

...but he had been a criminal.

She thought about the people she had met. Blaine, Effie, Javert, Diana, Peeta. Could she kill for them?

For Ashley?

Yes.

Would she, could she kill them?

She hoped the chaos god would never ask.

"For you...yeah I would."

Pruna blinked at her. No one had ever said anything like that to her before and she didn't really know what to think about that.

She grinned a small grin and leaned forward to hug Sandy tightly. "You do be being the best friend in the world."

She grinned, "In all the worlds. Tomorrow I can be teaching you how to be fighting properly and then nobody can be holding us back."

She hugged back just as hard. Maybe this having a girlfriend stuff was pretty great after all.

"How many weapons do you know how to use?" She hadn't really seen the full extant of Pruna's abilities yet and as much as she hated to admit it...she kind of liked the idea of fighting and winning instead of running and hiding every day.

It was easy to think these things in the dark safe in her bed.

"I can be using a dagger and Hyperion did be teaching me to be throwing them. I do be knowing how to be using a sword sort of but they do be being too big, and Maximus did be teaching me how to be making a spear short enough so I could be using it." She grinned, "But mostly I do be knowing how to be killing without fighting."

"Like with poison." Sandy reasoned since they had discussed the matter before. "You know alot about like...what plants are poisonous?"

"How many different ways are there to kill someone without a fight?" She felt stupid for asking but it was a thought that hadn't crossed her mind before. For good reason.

Pruna nodded, "Yes I can be teaching you that too." Though the actual plants in the wilderness are a bit harder, and don't ask her to try and identify mushrooms, it will end in disaster.

"There do be being lots of ways, poison do only be one. There do be places on the body that if you do be hitting they can no even be moving. Or places where if you can be stabbing them they will be dying before they do even be realising they have been being attacked."

Sandy listened with a growing knot in her stomach. Could she really do those sorts of things?

She was gonna have to if she wanted to stay with Pruna wasn't she?

"I'll do my best to learn everything you can teach me. Then we really will win. And after that..." Well she really didn't know.

"I guess we mentor the others?"

Pruna shook her head, "And after that we do be going home." She said with a grin, "And you do be coming with me." Of course there was the whole defeating the capitol, working out how to get home and managing to do so as well but Pruna was aware of the fact they were being watched and the cuffs around both their wrists.

Sandy reaffirmed the hug letting their cheeks brush together in the closeness.

"Best friends forever. We'll go home together and keep being amazing."

"Exactly." She flopped back down onto the pillows, pulling Sandy with her. "Now you do be going to sleep and there will be being no nightmares because I will be tearing them out of your head and destroying them."

The most reassuring bedtime routine.

Sandy pressed close and smiled letting her eyes close with some level of assurance she'd actually get to sleep soon.

"Best, girlfriend, ever." She mumbled as the darkness closed in on them.

Her last thoughts as sleep claimed her were unfortunate but meant well.

I wonder if I'll still be afraid of the dark when I serve the god of chaos.

Pruna just grinned and curled up next to Sandy, waiting until the other girls breathing steadied into a sleeping rhythm before closing her eyes and sleeping herself, feeling warm and happy.
