The shocking and thrilling adventures!
Who| Everyone
What| The Capitols oh so exclusive interviews~!
Where| Primarily the common areas, but the interviews would be on every TV everywhere.
When| This evening, at 6 pm sharp
Notes| Use this post to ICly react to the interviews (if you don't make plans of your own!)
The advertisements hit hard today. Tune in at 6 o'clock, you won't want to miss this special! Everywhere a person could look, it was there, and the city was clearly excited for whatever this mystery event was.
As if that wasn't enough, escorts were encouraging Tributes to be in the commons, and a small feast of finger foods was laid out along one wall, extra avoxes available for drinks.
And, as promised, at 6 pm sharp, all the TVs flickered to the ever flashy Caesar, on an equally flashy tabloid-tastick reality style "interview" of the tributes. All the TVs in the common area light up with it, as well as the Districts suites, even if the TV had been off before.
Hope you all enjoy your dose of fame!

"Just having a family, or are you allowed to do the in between things?"
no subject
"A usual tour is two years," Dan explained. "I'm a little different case, though. And what do you mean 'in between things'?"
no subject
She was a spy, she knew about hiding abilities. "You know. Not having a family or a girlfriend-- or boyfriend-- but being able to fool around during whatever time off you get." Hey, she wasn't one to judge.
"So, why are you a different case?"
no subject
Daniel nodded a bit at her explanation, but he didn't really offer if it was something he was interested in. Instead, he focused on her question.
"Most Peacekeepers are drafted into the role." They join because they have debt or were convicted of a crime, but that just made them seem like a bunch of criminals, so Dan didn't supply that fact either. "I was a different case. I joined because I wanted to join. Because of that, I tested in as an officer. It's a career for me, not just some two year stint." He offered her a small smile, showing that he didn't really think badly of those who did join for two years, even if it was out of a last resort.
"I'll probably retire in a few years though. I'm afraid I'm getting too old."
no subject
Respectful. "How long have you been with them so far, then? And what rank are you now, can you go any higher?"
no subject
"I don't exactly have a rank, but I'm a member of a special team," he explained, choosing his wording very carefully. He couldn't really give her a lot of details about that at all. "I've been with them since I was 17."
no subject
And Cindy didn't want to get him in trouble. "Sounds cool," She grinned. "Long time to be with them. How old are you now? You are over 18, right?"
no subject
Daniel chuckled. "A bit over, yes," he said. "I'm in my 30s, but I'm afraid if I say more I'll start to seem like an old man."
no subject
"Since you know the city, probably better then most people, are there any places to mail letters. Obviously we're not sending them back home." And here she smirked. "But if I want to send someone in the Capitol a letter, there has to be a place for that, right?"
no subject
"Who would you want to send a letter to in the Capitol?" Dan asked, more out of curiosity than anything.
no subject
She grinned. "Or see if someone had an hour break to show me where it is."
no subject
"Your escort should be the one to help you out with that sort of thing," Dan explained after a moment. "But I can see how they'd be over worked. If you'd like, I can offer to take you." He thought that might be what she was getting at, but he didn't want to just assume and make an ass of himself.

"When I'm off duty I have all of the free time in the world," Daniel said with a smile. "I can help you in a couple of days?"
no subject
no subject
"That works. Seek me out once you're back, to make sure you have time to adjust to what ever is going to happen in that place."

Dan wasn't too sure about the 'kind' remark, but he didn't comment on it. Instead he nodded. "May the odds be ever in your favor."
