The advertisements hit hard today. Tune in at 6 o'clock, you won't want to miss this special! Everywhere a person could look, it was there, and the city was clearly excited for whatever this mystery event was.
As if that wasn't enough, escorts were encouraging Tributes to be in the commons, and a small feast of finger foods was laid out along one wall, extra avoxes available for drinks.
And, as promised, at 6 pm sharp, all the TVs flickered to the ever flashy Caesar, on an equally flashy tabloid-tastick reality style "interview" of the tributes. All the TVs in the common area light up with it, as well as the Districts suites, even if the TV had been off before.

"It's okay, I know," Peeta reassured him. "If you're not sure about killing animals, I know you're not going to start eating people." He tried to say it in a joking manner. He wanted to let him know that it was okay, that all of this was okay, even if it wasn't. They could handle this. They could.

"Not everyone knows that, though. How bad do you think this is going to be?" Every sponsor counted, he knew, because he simply wasn't the type that usually got a lot of them (not enough murdering). He couldn't afford to lose many.

"I don't know if you know who Titus is. He's this Tribute who... went sort of crazy, in the arena. Years ago, not any time recent. But he started to eat the other Tributes after he killed them. They had to stun him just so they could collect the bodies before he got to them." It was pretty bad. "The Capitol doesn't really like cannibalism. But they do like you. All of the trolls, they like you. Maybe we can spin it."
