The advertisements hit hard today. Tune in at 6 o'clock, you won't want to miss this special! Everywhere a person could look, it was there, and the city was clearly excited for whatever this mystery event was.
As if that wasn't enough, escorts were encouraging Tributes to be in the commons, and a small feast of finger foods was laid out along one wall, extra avoxes available for drinks.
And, as promised, at 6 pm sharp, all the TVs flickered to the ever flashy Caesar, on an equally flashy tabloid-tastick reality style "interview" of the tributes. All the TVs in the common area light up with it, as well as the Districts suites, even if the TV had been off before.

Callista sighed and nodded. "I think I could use it right now."

"Of course," she replied. "We're their property." She didn't seem exactly happy about that, of course. Rather than dwelling on that, though, she wanted to focus on something else.
"Think we could pull away and find a quiet place to work on breathing exercises?"

She didn't know that she was talking to someone who could probably relate to that thought more than others.

"I suggest we wait and see," she said. She kept her arms folded over her chest as she watched people react around her. There were so many different reactions from out rage, to bleak humor, to shell shocked expressions of surprise.

"Pretty much," she said. "Considering that we know what the questions really were, I'm surprised so many people were so candid." It said something, she thought, that they only used her for an advertizement and not for the interview itself.

Callista shrugged. "Does that make you feel better about it?" she asked. She wasn't being sarcastic or judgmental. Her gray eyes were just curious about his feelings on what had just happened.

"What would you consider the problem then?"

"I admit, it's a new phenomenon for me," she pointed out with a small smile crossing her lips. She had to find the humor in this somewhere, it was way too much to take in now.
