Let me know if I can add anything, and I am down for minor assumptions/handwaving some things!

She tipped their glasses together, relishing the clink as they made contact.

"Ehm, very good." She said softly after taking her first drink. Strong, but good. She could respect that.

"I'm glad they're home." Less glad about Haymitch, but she assumed that went without saying.

[setfires]

"I missed my inspiration," Cinna said, smirking a bit. It was clear he was talking about Katniss. "I felt like my ideas were getting stale."

[mannersmatter]

"Oh, Cinna, I doubt your ideas will ever get stale." She smiled softly, swirling the drink around in her glass.

"I'm glad she inspires you so. It really seems like fate, you and her coming in on the same year..."

[setfires]

"It does, doesn't it?" he said thoughtfully. "It was bound to happen though. District 12 deserved some spot light."

[mannersmatter]

"You can say that again."

Effie had been working at this much longer then Cinna. At many points she had been prepared to abandon the District as soon as she could.

Now she was glad she'd stayed.

[setfires]

"I can also use another one of these," he said as he finished his drink. He poured himself some more and offered it to her.

[mannersmatter]

She took the offer, starting to feel the warm, soothing effet of the alcohol settling into her system.

"I am not ready for a new arena." She said finally.

[setfires]

"They come so soon now, it's impossible to feel ready."

[mannersmatter]

"That is a very valid point, I suppose."

[setfires]

"It does make things a little more complicated," Cinna pointed out. "Not that I'm complaining. I like being busy. I just don't want to see you over work yourself."

[mannersmatter]

She chuckled softly, taking another sip of her drink.

"Oh, Cinna, dear. I think I was overworked 3 arenas ago."

[setfires]

Cinna chuckled. "Well, you do have the hardest job of us all."

[mannersmatter]

Ah, Cinna, you are so good at getting on Effie's good side.

"It is difficult. But this team is making it much better."

Two, three years ago she would have trade districts in a heart beat. Now she couldn't imagine any such thing.

[setfires]

"Does that mean I should be happy that I joined with the 74th Games?" Cinna asked, smiling a bit at her. He was happy about that, but not only because it meant that Effie was more comfortable.

[mannersmatter]

"It was...a very good year to start, I can tell you that. You, of course, were part of why it was a good year." She smiled, tipping her glass to him.

The combination of Cinna and their starcrossed lovers...it had really been a godsend. She had tried everything, and she knew Haymitch had just been slipping farther and farther away.

[setfires]

"Why thank you," Cinna said. "It helped that I had a good muse. Katniss really pulled off the look I was going for."

[mannersmatter]

"She is a stunning girl, isn't she." Effie nodded, clearly pleased with the visual aptitude of their tributes.

"It was just our year. It had to be, sometime."

[setfires]

"I'm glad that you were able to have your year."
