Who| Ruby and You!
(ooc: You can also find her in any of these places after she's calmed down. ^^ )
What| Waking up in District 9 suite. Rampaging her way down to the common area. Discovering Snow is alive. Then barging into District 8's Suite to find her friend.
Where| District 9 and 8 suites, with the common area in between.
When| Backdated to nearly the end of the arena.
Warnings/Notes| Splitting this into several phases. <3 She'll be increasingly irritated until she sees Snow, and then - after copious cuddling times - much calmer.
District 9 Suites: She felt a flicker of surprise when her eyes opened up. She'd been dead. She'd felt it when her heart beat stopped... she'd almost welcomed it, after the way Snow had died in her arms. The last thing she'd expected had been a mysterious revival. Her wounds seemed to be gone, at least. Though that still left her with the pain of Snow's death.
The last few seconds of her friend's life kept flashing through her mind. The left over dust from the caves coating her throat and lungs. Snow's gasps. The taste of those blood covered lips as she tried to blow a bit more air into her friend's lungs.
She forced herself to stand, shuddering as her feet hit the floor. Standing and moving toward the door. She didn't stop to think that she was still in her underwear.
----
Common Areas: Ruby fidgeted as she entered the room. She was properly dressed, now, but that didn't stop her from feeling cold. She was alive. Everyone who'd been in the arena was alive - or almost. It was true that Snow's body had disappeared... but did that mean the woman was really alive? Her pack mate? She wanted to believe it more than anything.
She scanned the area, searching for anyone who might give her a clue. Someone who might know where they'd taken Snow. Or where they took the bodies... Bad thought. Very bad. She had to keep up a front, at least, until she found out.
Flexing her feet, the werewolf, felt them dig into the shoes she'd found. The heels were too high for running, just as the green skirt was too low - and the bodice too tight. But she'd use that to her advantage if she could.
Maybe there was a guard around who liked to flirt more than they said.
----
District 8 suites: Ruby knew she wasn't supposed to be there. She half expected people to stand in her way, maybe try to throw her off. Anyone who tried would find themselves pushed away, though. All that mattered was Snow. Snow White. Not their president, not the stuff that fell from the sky - Snow White.
Anyone who got in the way of that was the enemy. Anyone who didn't have information was a distraction. She was a force of nature, stepping forward in her high heels and swishing skirts. The only thing that mattered was her getting her arms around her packmate. Kissing the woman's cheek. Holding the pale woman close. Hearing the heartbeat.
She was there. She was alive. She had to be.

District 9 Suite!
Granted, Donatello didn't particularly care too much. He was busy reading, researching. De Animalibus Libri Novus, at the moment. When he caught Ruby in the corner of his eye, however, he knew that there would be others who did mind, and there were plenty of tongues that would wag about it if she actually went out in public.
Which, given the way she seemed to be going towards the door, looked like that was exactly what was going to happen.
"Er, miss?" He stood up. Hopefully his...looks would at least make her stop. "Miss..."
Re: District 9 Suite!
She still hadn't noticed the underwear. Her mind was too preoccupied to really be processing anything like that.

At this, the Avox reappeared with a robe.

"Let them talk." A spark of fierceness appeared in her eyes, then. Anger.

"Miss, please." At this, Don held his hands up to show her he wasn't a threat. "I'm just trying to give you some advice. I'm not going to stop you from doing whatever it is you're doing, but...this isn't exactly the best kind of place to start any kind of rumor or innuendo about yourself. Or to start a fight."
Because she looked about ready to rip into him. Not that he couldn't defend himself.

She wanted to fight. She wanted to tear someone limb from limb. She felt like the wolf was trying to get out - even locked up inside her head as it was.
"They killed her" she said out loud to Don.
"They killed Snow White."

He spoke calmly. He still had his hands up. He had to be careful.

District 9 Suite
"Welcome back to the land of the living tall pale and primal." She called from the kitchenette area with a wave.

When she heard the comment, she paused just a moment, blinking. Then she turned back to her outfit.

The fruit trick would have gotten a polite applause from her - in other circumstances. But right now it was just a distraction standing in the way of Snow.

"God, I'd kill for those shoes. Think if I put in a request for them I'd get them?"

"Who are you looking for?"
no subject
It didn't matter. She just had to find the woman.
"Snow White," she said.
no subject
"Snow's here!?" She exclaimed. "When did she get here? What the hell, she's supposed to be back at the Farm, god, she must be worried sick about the cubs. When did you last see her?"
no subject
Almost.
Not nearly.
Her gaze is already drifting past the woman. She needs to find someone else to talk to. Someone who can help.

Ain't No Party Like A District 8 Party (p.s. sorry this is so late!!!)
They tell her how beautiful she is, and how good that can be for media attention; a great way to get sponsors. Snow has an interview scheduled for later this afternoon, and they seem excited for it. Snow's first official Capitol debut. Snow has yet to appear to the public since her return from the arena, and they want everything to be perfect.
And she is lovely, indeed. Her skin a perfect, porcelain white. But there's a unnatural perfection to her now. Her skin is too pale, too flawless, too white, and her hair is a darker black than a moonless night. Her stylist has clearly taken a few liberties with tweaking Snow's appearance. Turned her into a perfect Capitol doll and now they were dressing her up. Draping her in layers upon layers of intricate fabric.
Her skirt is so large it requires a frame beneath it for her to be able to move. Everything is blue and grey and white. The colours of winter. And sparkling with diamonds and sapphires and pearls.
When Ruby walks in, Snow doesn't even see her at first, even though she's looking right at her. She's lost somewhere in her thoughts. Distant in her own head so she doesn't have to be here.
No worries <3 GLAD TO HAVE YOU. :D
That was just an idle thought, though. A passing figment trapped in the mire of the moment between steps as her eyes took in Snow. Alive. Here. With other people int he room, but they didn't matter. She hadn't watched them die in her arms. Hadn't seen their bodies disappear.
She ignored them utterly as she ran forward on high heels to slide arms around the woman.
<3
"Ruby!" she says with a smile so big it almost hurts. "Its you! You're okay!"

She's scared to say the words: that she watched Snow die. That she felt the life go out of her friend's eyes. Watched her body go limp.
She stares into Snow's eyes, instead. The only natural part let. Reaches out, and places her fingers lightly on the woman's pale cheek, ignoring the stylists.
"What did they do to you?"
no subject
It's a dye, more accurately. The whiteness wont simply wash away. It will linger until the next arena, at least. If not longer. But it doesn't really matter to Snow. It was clearly nothing harmful to her, since they all seemed keen having the same thing done to themselves. One of Snow's prep team had skin the shade of bubblegum. She figures it just be another strange ritual in this strange new world.

Then, quieter - finally admitting what's been racing through her head - "I thought you were dead."
