Victory Tour!

Most of you weren't around the last time District tours were allowed. The opulence of the train is just as great however. It is plush, full of the same comforts and pleasures as the Capitol. Dining, entertainment centers, and shared rooms for the Tributes, the bunk beds featuring the finest of fabrics. The wide windows all around the train give way to the stunning views of the District countrysides.

Before the quell, it used to be that only the Victors of the arena would behold such sights, but you Tributes, the survivors of the fifteenth arena of the seventy fifth quarter quell are very lucky indeed. It will be a greater pageant than ever before, with so many Tributes getting the chance to speak to the Districts their children were reaped from, where you stand and the children stand no longer. The honor, duty, and sacrifice a Tribute's life involves cannot be understated.

Staff and Mentors are, of course, brought along for the ride. You'll need them for when you are to give your speech to the Districts! There will be a lot of preparation work involved, but maybe, should you do well, you will be afforded some time to travel between the cars and visit those of other Districts.

As always, the tour will be starting in District twelve, which will take just over forty eight hours to reach. There's no need to feel unsafe. There's an overwhelming number of Peacekeepers on board, here to keep you all safe, as will there be in each of the Districts you visit.

Sleep tight.

Nitou had been asleep when it happened, when all the fuss broke out. He'd fallen out of bed and landed on his travelling mayonnaise when the train shrieked to a halt. It's hard for him to do anything, what with the Peacekeepers on the train being a bit more awake and heavily armed than he is, but he wants to see what's happening outside, to try to figure out what's got everyone so upset.

He's there at a window of the train when he sees the guy with the scarf stabbing at the Peacekeepers. Well. That's new, and he hasn't realized who Scarf Dude actually is yet. He can only watch in some surprise, because stabbing Peacekeepers is a thing he can definitely get behind.

Down goes one Peacekeeper, then goes another from his injuries, and then another rebel is jumping in to help dispatch the others. Everything's going according to plan, or so it seems, so Haruto bolts for the train car, eager to see if he can haul someone out. It's during that bolt that he catches a glimpse of Nitou in the window, and his eyes go wide.

"Nitou!" It's not likely that the shout can be heard over the din, but he's going to shout it anyway. And between the shouting and his suddenly-increased bolting speed, Haruto's scarf slips away. There's your rival, mayo wizard. Care for a rescue?

"Haruto?" Is it...could it...it's him! It's really him! When that scarf flies off, there can be no doubt. "HARUTO!" Why, yes, Nitou is now trying to get out there to his rival wizard.

Granted, the Peacekeeper in there with him doesn't seem to like that idea, but that's okay. Nitou doesn't mind having to grapple with him.

"NITOU!" This shout is accompanied by a wide grin, though it doesn't last long. He can spot the Peacekeeper coming up behind Nitou and that makes his expression shift to more of a determined grimace. If he's got to tear down more of them to get his friend free, then he'll do it. He's ready. Just watch him.

But he's got to get inside, first, and the moment two other Peacekeepers come out of the nearest end of the train car, guns blazing, he realizes that it's easier said than done. Not wanting to get filled full of bullets, he's immediately doubling back and making for cover. "Damn it! Nitou's in there! Someone get him!" ..there are other rebels nearby, right? Others that'll help? That'll do something?

Please?

"HARUTO!" Nitou is trying to get off of the train, to get out to his rival, but it's hard. Really hard. He might have punched the first Peacekeeper in the face hard enough to get free, but now there are two more in there rushing him, and one has a taser.
wizardplease: (Getting Serious)

He has the worst luck with tasers

The other rebels that he thought might be able to give him a hand rescuing Nitou are themselves pulling back, for fear of getting filled full of bullets. They all knew going in that they wouldn't be able to get everyone, but Haruto's still holding onto that hope that they've got the time to get one more particular Tribute free....

And then one of the rebels takes a bullet, and becomes the most immediate problem that he has to deal with. He casts a look back to the train, before turning around and hauling them into a carry, continuing with the retreat.
infinitemayonnaise: (this is bad)

he really does

Nitou would like to try to fight his way out to Haruto, really, he would, but he's not even aware that Haruto's being forced into a retreat.

Not with the way those Peacekeepers are breaking out the taser. Again.

He almost regrets that last look backwards. He'd rather have a memory of Nitou shouting or fighting, rather than the one of him seizing up and crumpling out of sight. He'll just have to use that as motivation to.... to something. To try harder. To at least save the person that he's holding onto right now.

He grits his teeth, still retreating, gripping the other rebel tighter.
