[closed] to drink and be merry, to teach and to learn, hiccuping together
Who: The Iron Bull & Cole
What: Cole's looking for Bull and finds him where any one of the Inquisition usually would - the bar
When: Night before Crowning
Where: The bar
Warnings: Drinking, lewd topics possibly, tba
What did this place have to offer, exactly, other than replays of the same gruesome scenes in those moving picture boxes? Did this place, the Capitol, have anything hard and strong that could kill the nerves in ones' throat on the first swallow? Did it have something that could kill the grass if it were spilled?
The Iron Bull was currently on the look out for it. His place of sitting and hanging out back in Skyhold was mostly the tavern. Surely this Capitol had one of those nearby?
He had lumbered through the streets ignoring most of the stares unless it was to pause and ask for directions, trying to help one of the natives understand that he was looking for a tavern and ended up in the nearest bar to where every Tribute was staying. Bar, tavern - it was good enough. He wouldn't complain about the music or settlement, as long as there was drink there and, hopefully, a redhead or two to keep him entertained.
In the corner near the back, slumped comfortably on the cushioned chair, legs out and relaxed in front of him, that was where he could be found. The drink in his hand was disappointing to say the least, probably why it was his seventh so far since entering the building.
One thing he did miss - the soft tones of the bard woman who sang her songs in the tavern in Skyhold, the music here so far held nothing to light. This, to his ears, was crap, and was why his grimace of distaste was hidden behind the cup as he brought it up to drink, grumbling all the while.

Cole still thinks the Iron Dragon would have been better, though.
He considers the offer for a moment, leaning over to peer into the glass. "Eating is...complicated. I'm only just getting used to it. Is drinking part of being human as well?"
if it is, then he'll give it a shot.

"You need both to survive. Eating keeps up your strength, your energy. It makes you stronger. Drinking is... Well that depends on how well you can hold your alcohol." Bull nudges the cup at him. "Here, just a sip, if you want to try it."

"It burns, it's...like liquid fire. Why do you drink this, The Iron Bull?"
no subject
"Have some more. Don't be shy."
