Who| Chibi-Usa, OPEN
What| Chibi-Usa's got a date she has to wait for.
Where| The Training Center Lounge
When| Sometime post-Valentine's Day
Warnings/Notes| Adorableness. Maybe. And some possible angst.
She was not looking forward to tonight. Apparently, she was going on a "date".
Unlike certain other Tributes' dates, however, this one was a play-date. Some rich person wanted some photo ops with her and their son, so Chibi-Usa was suddenly brought to her stylists and shoved into a adorable dress that the citizen wanted to see her in. They did her hair as well, spraying the rose curl braids in her hair red and black to match her dress.
It felt gross. Being hocked off to kids for publicity, especially when she had a real boyfriend back home. With an annoyed flop, she sat in one of the main lounge chairs, looking sulky and dejected. Yeah, she knew she'd have to play the part of a smiling, happy girl when her "date" arrived; princesses knew how to schmooze with the best of them. And she had to admit, she liked the dress.
She just really hope they didn't poison her food too.

He approached her carefully and smiled happily at her, hiding any hint of his concern. "You look like you'd fit right in with a bed of flowers," he complimented.
no subject
"I don't feel like a flower right now."
no subject
"How do you feel?" he asked, worried about her.

Which was an understatement. She was scared, lonely, nervous, worried, sad...but she wasn't going to say that out loud. Not out here, not to this guy. Even though in a way it was probably obvious, from the way her eyes shifted to the ground.

"...Do you really mean that?"

"That looks like it took some time," she said, indicating the girl's hair.

So, this person...maybe she wasn't Capitol.
"Three hours," she finally admitted.

She nodded. It couldn't hurt, right?

At this, Chibi-Usa's eyes widened, ever so slightly.
"Really? My cat's name is Diana!..."

She understood that sort of pressure. Though, at least no one expected her cat to take over ruling the entire world when she grew up.
"Ah...I'm Tsukino Usagi!" Yes, she felt safer somehow with this woman, but she wasn't about to say her real name. Not yet. "But...everyone calls me Chibi-Usa for short."

...though she of course omitted the part where Artemis would protest such unfair treatment from Minako and how Minako did not 'own' him. And the naming theme would be a...well, it would be an understatement at the least that there was a common theme in the names.
"Yeah. You know Japanese?"

Well, technically. It used to be Tokyo.

"...I don't want to be brave in this place." With her other hand, Chibi-Usa wiped her eyes. "I want to be back home with my family."

She didn't know why. She just... hadn't. She just wanted to go home. And that's why she got around as much as she could. Ignore everything going on even if she didn't talk that often...
Until she noticed a little girl in the Tribute Tower. She was dressed like one of the citizens, but Holiday had heard they were like celebrities in this place. She would be more excited if she were one of them, right?
Chocking down the horror she was feeling, Holiday decided to approach the sullen looking girl. "Hi. I like your dress."
no subject
"Thank you," she replied politely. "I like it also."
...She really did. She didn't like why she was wearing it.

Holiday was nothing if not bold.

She was polite, but she was still wary. Not so much of this woman, but of others around them who were looking at them and pointing.

"So... why are you out here anyway? Got something going on?"

"... That doesn't sound very romantic..."

"Is this because of sponsors and all of that?"

Holiday cleared her throat. "Um. I'm Dr. Holiday, by the way. It's nice to meet you."

"But you do look nice. Might as well try and have fun."
