Being told he was to participate in a death match was odd enough, but then finding himself being able to wander around a very luxurious hotel was even odder. It didn't seem to fit. And worse there were people with notepads interviewing and people asking for autographs. As much as Ian was glad to be able to slip past without notice, he still didn't like it. And he kept half-expecting the Daleks to turn up.

Having decided that perhaps it was best to hide away from all these people, he made it back to the lift. But he wasn't so sure about going back to the suite either, so he pressed down, thinking of going as far down as possible. As he waited for the lift, he looked back over his shoulder, a worried expression on his face.

Ian smiled back, although he had been hoping he blended in a bit more. "Is it that obvious?" he asked as he pressed a button in the lift at random.

Eliot chuckled quietly. "Just a little," he replied. "Mostly because I haven't seen ya around before. Did they tell you what district you've been assigned to yet?"

That wasn't so bad, in that case. And people not having seen him around before wasn't something he could do much about. "Three. Does it make a difference?"

Eliot shook his head. "Only in where ya sleep while you're here. I'm on the same floor. I could show you around if ya want."

"Thanks." Ian smiled and the lift opened on a gym. He looked out warily.

[retrieverchef]

"This is the training level," Eliot explained. "They've got about everything ya could want to train with down here except guns and explosives. I don't know if this is really what ya were lookin' for, though."

Ian didn't really want to admit that he didn't know what he was looking for either. But all the same, he didn't step out - it didn't look that useful. "So does that mean the arena doesn't have guns or explosives either?"

[retrieverchef]

"Other than the mines in the platforms, no," Eliot said. Honestly, he had no complaints about that. He hated guns. He could used them but he hated them. "I've seen almost everything else at one time or another but no guns and no explosives."

"That's something at least." Guns were hard to get around when someone was pointing one at you. "So what else is in this building?"
