Do you keep your secret away from all you meet?
Who| Bruce Banner and Tony Stark
What| Bruce has a secret he's going to share.
Where| In a park under a tree some way's away from the path, smack in a blind spot.
When| Day after the Lonestar Post
Warnings/Notes| Science bro nerdery. Will add more as they come up.
It was a relaxing afternoon. Bruce rested under the shade of a tree, which he suspected to be genetically engineered, since the changing leaves were almost an eyesore with their vibrant colors. He had a book to read and a notebook to write in. He scrawled in it, long and beautiful equations and equivalencies and proportionalities as they came to him, usually only writing briefly before returning to his book.
He, after all, has time to kill, and it wouldn't do to look anxious when he's supposed to be relaxing.

"Right, the face for romantic comedies, you said." Bruce looks to Tony to roll his eyes. Tony managed to get him to roll his eyes more than anyone else combined. "Well, try to contain yourself. I know self-control is an issue with you."
His smile fades. Onto brass tacks. "I watched them working with the surveillance network, and now I have the passwords. We can use any computer to tap into their surveillance system." He's very calm for the information he's now imparting. "The Capitol's eyes and ears are now ours too."

He comes back with a little defensively, after all, ever since he took on Pepper as his personal assistant she's never let him get grease anywhere outside the workshop, and fails to guilt him about adding to the cleaners workload.
He listens with intent with what he's saying, then smiles slowly.
"Any computer, huh? Well that works out well. Timing wise, our buddy Lonestar's on the look out for computer parts for me, and with the tools Steve got me in that same blackout I'll be well on my way to, while not J.A.R.V.I.S something close enough who could do just that."
He dusts off his hands as he sits up bringing his knees up as he does and resting his elbows on them.
"You know, I could probably kiss you for this."
no subject
And it wouldn't be Tony if he didn't throw in a little flirting with it.
Bruce smirks, arching one eyebrow at Tony. "I think you can restrain yourself." He doesn't think Tony would actually kiss him, perhaps foolishly. "I promise I won't be jealous of Steve if you do."
no subject
As Bruce suggests he can restrain himself Tony instead leans closer to him, because really, next to Steve, Bruce is Tony's most favourite person to tease.
"Well if I do kiss you, you won't have to be jealous, because you'll know how good he got from me."
no subject
Bruce doesn't lean back, because that would be letting Tony win. He just keeps his brow arched, his voice deadpan, and without thinking too hard about it, he says, "Like you would."
As soon as he says that, he realizes that was probably the wrong thing to say to a man who turns everything into a challenge.
no subject
Tony can tell in Bruce's eyes that he has just realised he's issued Tony a challenge, and it only makes him grin all the more as he closes the distance between them until there's only 3 inches between them.
"You know, I would."
Then he closes the gap and kisses Bruce. It's not all that intrusive, or forceful, but rather polite, even friendly, and it is almost most certainly playful.
no subject
If it had been intrusive, he would have freaked out. Instead, it's playful and friendly and about everything Tony has ever been with him, so it lasts for a few seconds, with Bruce just internally laughing at himself, at the ridiculousness of his life.
And then he pulls away, his smile finally reaching his eyes (the first time it has since he came to this horrible place) as he instinctively touches his mouth. "Okay. Point taken. You would."
He should be freaking out more, since he's never kissed a man before (hasn't actually kissed anyone in years), but Tony has a way of wiggling past his boundaries and making him forget they were there in the first place. "I asked for that."

"Isn't there a saying about never challenging fools or the rich?"
Really he could be wrong about that, but he's at least sure there's something very close to that out there somewhere.
"So, now you're done hitting on me. What was it you wanted to tell me in this 'secret grotto'?"
