Dance, baby dance!
Who| Milla Vodello & you!
What| Milla does what she does best, have a party. She wants to get to know her fellow tributes, as well as gather information on what's going on around the Tribute Center. What better way to do it then a party and teaching people how to dance?
Where| District 11 suites common room.
When| Mid-afternoon into the evening before curfew.
Warnings/Notes| Nothing as of now, will updated as needed.
After giving her suitemates some warning- and posting on the network, Milla didn't dally in putting together something for a party. It was a bit last minute, but Milla really can't resist. Having a party on her own terms, with people wanting to come seems like a better alternative to what she's seen of the Capitol so far.
Anyone who arrives will find the place decorated with colorful banners, a table set to the side with a mixture of Brazilian and Americana food alongside that lay some canned soft drinks. Booze is distinctly lacking unless someone feels the urge to bring their own. With the few kids coming, Milla opts to play it safe.
Furniture has been pushed around to leave more floor space open for dancing. Music is already playing, though Milla has given DJ-ing rights to Davesprite, so the music is likely to go from dance to irony tracks. Either way- you can definitely dance.

Which she honestly was.

But Gary's never been one to take those kinds of things seriously. "And who wants to see me walking around like I've got a stick up my ass because I'm trying to impress people, huh? They're gonna see me at my best when I'm acting natural."
no subject
Yeah Dave, she was talking about you.
no subject
"Who's this guy in your district that I have to take out?"
no subject
"Dave. Good luck with that though. That guy is a master. Who starts an arena dating a god, I ask you?"
no subject
"Eh, so what?" He knows exactly who Mindy's talking about, but he's not going to let that on just yet. Gary and Dave don't exactly have a stunning rapport, so figuring out what kind of gossip is going on about him seems like a wise move. More fuel for future trolling endeavors. "Can't be that hard. I heard those Greek gods were loose as hell, know what I mean?"
no subject
"Gods here don't tend to give one of us the time of day other than friendship," Mindy said (or rather, guessed). "And we're not dealing with ant Greek gods here yet, last I checked. They were all Norse. Thor and Loki, so far. That's who Dave's with."
no subject
"He's still with them?" A beat. "...All at the same time?"
no subject
She'd be pissed if they had, honestly.
no subject
"Yeah, rub it in harder." Gary frowns and looks momentarily uncomfortable. He's had his abilities his entire life--suddenly living without them has been a change, for sure, and not one he's been especially fond of. "I guess they wanted an even playing field or whatever."

She raised en eyebrow: he hadn't mentioned he had any powers when they'd talked at Clara's celebration. "What do you mean? Someone like you actually was given powers?"
Wait, scratch that. It shouldn't be THAT surprising. Peter Parker was still around, after all.

She shrugged. "Well, usually. What are your powers?"

Highly exaggerated comparison? Yes. Extremely amusing for the five seconds that the joke doesn't horribly backfire? Absolutely. Totally worth it.

She have him a grin. "Consider that some good advice, from one pipsqueak to another."
no subject
But he can't exactly back down from this challenge, can he? "How about you prove it?"
no subject
"I don't mind a fight," she said, "But this Milla's shindig. I'd be a pretty shitty person to start a brawl while she's doing her thing. But as you can see, even something like a dance step needs balance and force behind it."
no subject
"Getting Milla to chase me off the floor with a broom would be hilarious, but I see your point," he chuckles. "Maybe you can show me better in the Training Center. You're a Mentor, right? Can you squeeze in an appointment?"

In the meantime, Mindy is still leading him in the dance. It was a bit awkward, seeing as there was a height difference between them, but Mindy's carefully paid attention to Milla more than made up for this.
clearly we should plan this!
Game when you're ready!
