Dance, baby dance!
Who| Milla Vodello & you!
What| Milla does what she does best, have a party. She wants to get to know her fellow tributes, as well as gather information on what's going on around the Tribute Center. What better way to do it then a party and teaching people how to dance?
Where| District 11 suites common room.
When| Mid-afternoon into the evening before curfew.
Warnings/Notes| Nothing as of now, will updated as needed.
After giving her suitemates some warning- and posting on the network, Milla didn't dally in putting together something for a party. It was a bit last minute, but Milla really can't resist. Having a party on her own terms, with people wanting to come seems like a better alternative to what she's seen of the Capitol so far.
Anyone who arrives will find the place decorated with colorful banners, a table set to the side with a mixture of Brazilian and Americana food alongside that lay some canned soft drinks. Booze is distinctly lacking unless someone feels the urge to bring their own. With the few kids coming, Milla opts to play it safe.
Furniture has been pushed around to leave more floor space open for dancing. Music is already playing, though Milla has given DJ-ing rights to Davesprite, so the music is likely to go from dance to irony tracks. Either way- you can definitely dance.

Dancing

It's been his experience that the fastest way to catch people's attention is to get in the middle of things and start dancing with them, so that's immediately what he starts doing. It helps to be simultaneously the most outrageous and embarrassing dancer in the room; Gary moves how he likes, and that doesn't always match with what the music played would suggest. There's a lot of shuffling, spinning, whooping at Davesprite's sick beats, and getting in other partygoer's personal space with a friendly bump of the shoulders or hips. At least he's enjoying himself!

Mindy was still getting used to this...dance stuff. Luckily, thanks to Oceana's keen fashion sense, her dress wasn't too short or too unwieldy for her to move in, but she was still feeling incredibly awkward, and couldn't shake the feeling people were laughing at her. This made dancing and not feeling like an asshat a conflict, and being jostled wasn't a help.

There are people already here, making him unintentionally fashionably late. Or some shit. But Kenny's not going to join them. (Yet.) Instead, he strolls directly up to Milla and waves cheerily. She did say she'd teach him, after all.
"Heyyy."
Almost too cheerful, really.

Milla readily crouches down on Kenny's level with a smile. "Darling, hello! I'm glad you could make it. I was wondering when you'd get here."
no subject
"Yep! There's no way I'd miss out on this!"

With his own freed of their gloves--for once--he reaches for the woman's hands. She's gonna have to stand up again in order to actually lead him, of course, but he's pretty eager regardless.

Closed to Milla
When he notices Milla, he perks up, giving her a bright smile. "Hi! It's Milla, right?"

"I wouldn't miss it!" He jumps up from his seat, practically vibrating with youthful energy. "I haven't been able to dance with anyone in forever!"

The woman laughs softly in turn at the amount of energy Aang has going on as she leads him towards the dance floor. "Now that, darling is a real travesty. It has to be corrected immediately. A young boy like you should be able to dance whenever you want to."

late but still!!
Not one to leave free food to waste, he plucks up something of each as he goes along, popping it back like a bunch of popgrubs before a great show. And truly, there is much to see and watch.
He'll dance, just a promised, but for now he thinks he may just watch.
Mingling

...hey, was that a snack table? He's just going to sidle on over to it.

"And here I thought you wouldn't be attending the party." She has to tease him a little.

Re: Mingling
She was only half convinced of this, but she was here anyway, wasn't she, even in decent dress up because apparently Oceana was not about to have her walk into a social function looking "a mess". Lucky her.
No seriously, lucky her, the look was pretty decent.

"It's a pleasure to meet you in person. Those devices leave much to be desired when to comes to knowing who you're talking to."

Oh, right, shaking hands. She did that hastily, looking a little out of sorts.
