OPEN Valentine's Day Plot

WHO | Everyone
WHAT | Baron sends Valentine's Day gifts to Tribute Tower.
WHEN | Valentine's Day!
WHERE | Tribute Tower
WARNINGS / NOTES | Warnings for drug use and all of the things that go with that. Possibly also sexual themes. The OOC post for this is here.

On the morning of February 14th when the Tributes come down for breakfast they're greeted by an impressive holiday themed spread. Pink and red baked goods, chocolates shaped like hearts, beautiful red and pink flowers, adorable stuffed animals all line the table.

On the table is also a sign in cursive that reads:

To our beloved Tributes, Victors, Mentors, Escorts and Stylists. Enjoy your holiday. -- Bartlett Industries

Most of the sweets are completely harmless, but if the Tributes taste the chocolate covered cherries or caramels they find themselves suddenly acting very strangely...

"Well, the world stage is definitely different," he admits as he stares intently at what now looks like the starting of a sketch of a small mechanical device. Tony Stark and the word Modesty were rarely words used in the same sentence together, but at least he'll be the first person to admit to it, also. "Mostly I just miss my things."

That's a lie, of course. Because of course Tony misses home. His fame and fortune and Pepper and his suits. His fingers itch so badly the can hardly stand it to build another. But he doesn't have the workspace. A place to keep the parts. The tools he needs. It would take months of gathering supplies without having to participate in arenas, given his limited resources, the extremely thorough security measures and no secure or feasible workspace. Throw a death match and constant dates and interviews... well, lets just say progress is going very slowly in even so much as an attempt at that endeavor.

He's not even aware he's doing it till it's halfway done. The sketch of a new suit design. Its a horrid pink and green and yellow and blue thing that looks like a Capitol wet dream. It's both hilarious and an abomination in one moment. At least, to Tony it is.

"You don't seem impressed. Not the world-saving sort, I take it?"

mine is Victorian and very polite XD

"Uh, no." Riddick smirks at the very idea, amused at the idea of him being anything but a destroyer. He'd even had to be convinced, and convinced the hard way, to save a kid and a priest who'd admittedly never done anything wrong, just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. And he'd liked them. "Not so much a world-saving sorta guy. More likely to just let it circle the drain. Probably it's time, anyway."

He watches the artwork progress with curiosity, though. Looks like some kind of droid or mecha suit or something. He's seen some that look a lot more garish than that, himself.
nightlightheart: (yeah - whatcha got)

polite werewolves are the best kind

"Dead worlds just don't seem like as much fun," Tony shrugs. Surprises himself to find that he genuinely means that. The sensation makes his nose tickle. And his ears itch.

Wait... did that even sound right?
itsananimalthing: (serious)

agreed :B they're the most fun... to torment >.>

"There's always more worlds. Ain't ever really gotten attached to one enough to care if it got dead." Said as a space-farer, and all. Worlds die all the time, as far as he's concerned. As long as he doesn't wind up on said world at the time, it isn't his business. "Besides, a planet with no people on it ain't really dead, is it? So only some kinds of dead are even that boring."

Look at him, getting all philosophical, and not remarking on Tony's moment of weird confusion, there.
