On the morning of February 14th when the Tributes come down for breakfast they're greeted by an impressive holiday themed spread. Pink and red baked goods, chocolates shaped like hearts, beautiful red and pink flowers, adorable stuffed animals all line the table.

On the table is also a sign in cursive that reads:

To our beloved Tributes, Victors, Mentors, Escorts and Stylists. Enjoy your holiday. -- Bartlett Industries

Most of the sweets are completely harmless, but if the Tributes taste the chocolate covered cherries or caramels they find themselves suddenly acting very strangely...

"Uh, no thanks. I'm overdue for a shower right now and that's pretty much a solitary venture." If she could step back farther, she would've, instead she held her ground and wrinkled her nose just a bit in response.

"Doesn't have to be." But Lindsey didn't press in further, giving Anna just enough space to make a break for it if she wanted to try.

"I wash your back, you wash mine."

The look she shot him just then was one of are you serious while she fought the urge to laugh sarcastically. "Yeah, pass. I've got plans."

"Don't you know? Eliot and I are twins. He shares everything with me." Lindsey didn't exactly know what her plans were, but this was Valentines and there were some strong rumors about her and his brother in those gossip magazines. It seemed like a good jump on the logic train that she might be seeing Eliot sometime soon.

And that actually warranted an audible snort from Anna as she rolled her eyes. She may not have known Eliot long, but reading people is her thing. He didn't strike her as that kind of person. "Obviously not." Was she hinting at something Lindsey didn't know about his brother that she swore never to reveal, or just the fact that Eliot clearly never told him about her? She'll never tell.

Eliot probably wouldn't if he knew about this, but Lindsey didn't intend to tell his brother about it. Unlike Eliot, Lindsey always was the one with more secrets.

He doubted that changed much now.

"Ah, but asking isn't always necessary."

Her brows furrow at Lindsey's reply, obviously suspicious and still annoyed.

"Like I said, Lindsey. I have plans, so I'll pass." And that's when she crosses her arms over her chest and shifts away from the wall in an attempt to get past him.

Lindsey, being the wonderful gentleman that he is, let her pass. But he didn't move himself, such that if she was desperate enough to leave, she'd have to be moving up close and personal to him to get free.

He just grinned and let her wonder whether he'd do anything when she passed within kissing distance of him.

Anna honestly didn't know what to expect from Lindsey as she made her effort to get around him, fully aware of the close proximity and not saying so much as a word in the process.

As Anna passed, Lindsey leaned in almost threateningly, but let her go untouched. He did for a moment look like he wanted to kiss her though, but only ended up blowing in her ear when she sidled past.

"Next time then."
