On the morning of February 14th when the Tributes come down for breakfast they're greeted by an impressive holiday themed spread. Pink and red baked goods, chocolates shaped like hearts, beautiful red and pink flowers, adorable stuffed animals all line the table.

On the table is also a sign in cursive that reads:

To our beloved Tributes, Victors, Mentors, Escorts and Stylists. Enjoy your holiday. -- Bartlett Industries

Most of the sweets are completely harmless, but if the Tributes taste the chocolate covered cherries or caramels they find themselves suddenly acting very strangely...

"I think it sounds perfect. It's a da--" she clears her throat awkwardly, "--damn good alternative to the overall holiday bull." Anna jerks a thumb over her shoulder before walking out toward the hallway.

She waits for Eliot to join her before continuing. "Well, I think you're gonna find your schedule openin' up more in the future." Hopefully.

He grabs a jacket and follows her. "I'm not gonna ask how ya guess that," he says quietly. "But it sounds wonderful."

He reaches the elevator first and hits the button for her.

"Well, I've learned that it's like the NYPD here," she says innocently enough as she steps inside the elevator and presses the button for the top floor. Her voice gets quieter and she glances up at Eliot, "it's all about favors."

Is there something implied there? Maybe.

He looks at her closely as the doors close. "Be careful with that," he murmured. "It'd be easy to get in over your head."

"Don't worry. I'm a big girl, I know what I'm doin' here," she murmurs back and chews her lip as the elevator reaches the roof. "I promised to help you, Eliot. I never go back on my word."

She smiles softly, hand touching his shoulder as she steps off the elevator.

He smiles gratefully. "I know, Anna. I just don't want it coming back on you."

He leads the way to a far corner of the roof garden with a view of the city. "Good weather for a picnic. Well, for the time of year."

She follows Eliot to the corner and grins, clearly pleased with his choice spot that offers both a good view and affords them some privacy as well. Anna reaches in the basket and pulls out a blanket to lay down for them to sit on.

"Definitely. Uh, I don't know what you like, so I just kept it simple food-wise." She sits down and opens up the basket, producing a nice spread: strawberries dipped in chocolate, various sliced fruit, rolls, sliced cheese, sliced veggies, and the chocolate-covered cherries from downstairs. She also grabs the wine and pours some for both of them. "So, I don't know if you read the articles in Celebrus..." She says awkwardly.

He looks over what she brought, selecting a few different options. "It looks great," he says looking up. "Thank you, Anna."

He looks out over the city as he answers her question. "Not this time. I doubt it's any more accurate than the gossip rags back home."

"You're welcome, Eliot. I'm just glad you like it." She looks down shyly, fidgeting with her hands as she approaches the other subject awkwardly and hesitantly.

"Well, just uh, in case someone should bring it to your attention... everythin' about me in there is completely wrong." And suddenly she thinks this is a bad idea.

"I love it."

He shakes his head, laughing pleasantly. "Of course it's wrong. It's a gossip rag. The ones back home have been saying that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are tyin' the knot for years and they still haven't done it. Don't worry about it." He grabs a chocolate-covered cherry and places it in her mouth to interrupt any reply.

And of course Eliot's right to expect a reply from her right away. She's about to point out that she's never slept with Dean or Lindsey when she's interrupted by the sudden presence of a drugged sweet in her mouth. Once she swallows it, she smiles. "Oh, I see how it is. Well, I suppose that's not the worst way to shut me up..."

Before Eliot can reply, she scoots closer and feeds him one of the chocolate-dipped strawberries.

"Mmff!" he gets out, laughing around the candied fruit in his mouth. He finally manages to chew and swallow the fruit. "Really, darlin'? Tit for tat? Aren't we a little old for that?" He grabs one of the cherries and eats it.

"Mmm, yeah, but you like it." She laughs, winking at Eliot and scooting over to give him his personal space back. Maybe it's the cherry already taking effect or just the fact that she's comfortable with him that has her guard slowly dropping so she can joke with him. And unintentionally flirt with him.

Because she sucks when she tries to flirt.

"What makes you so sure?" he teases back. "Can you read my mind? Or are ya just hopin'?"

"Mmmm... a little bit of both," she laughs and takes a long drink of wine before she ends up scooting right next to Eliot. So much for personal space as she even reaches past Eliot for one of the delicious chocolate-covered cherries because she's feeling almost euphoric right now.

He wraps an arm around her shoulders, already feeling a little more relaxed and content. He reaches absently for another candy as he smiles at her. "Well, I guess ya might be right. Maybe."

Popping the cherry into her mouth she grins triumphantly at Eliot's half-admission and then proceeds to snatch the candy from him, holding it to her lips. She just smirks like the cat that ate the canary, taunting him to try taking it from her as she holds it between her teeth.

...Apparently the drugs are turning her into the little girl on the playground who steals toys from the boy she likes.

Oh, Anna, ya shouldn't'a done that..... *giggles*

Well, he's definitely not about to stick his fingers in her mouth. But he's not letting her just take his cherry, either. He leans over and grabs the cherry with his teeth. If his tongue ends up in her mouth while he steals his candy back, that's an accident. It's definitely an accident.

Well, this is a pleasant surprise. Eliot's close enough to kiss, and his tongue slips in her mouth as he takes back his candy and Anna feels a rush of electricity or something through her body. It's good and she likes it and... just meeting Eliot's eyes does something to her that she can't explain.

She's uncharacteristically silent, face flush with color as she gazes into Eliot's eyes, lips parting as if she's going to speak but nothing comes out.

He can't resist the unspoken invitation and grins as he leans down and kisses her. Somehow his hands find their way to her breasts and his tongue slips between her lips to tangle with hers. She tastes so good, like wine and chocolate. He can't help a contented moan.

Under normal circumstances, Anna would have grabbed Eliot's wrists and told him to slow down. But because of the virtually non-existent inhibitions she's currently feeling, Anna lets it slide and her breath hitches at the contact that she hasn't experienced in at least a couple of years now.

One hand comes up to his cheek, lingering there before her fingers slide into his hair and she returns the kiss while the other hand fists his shirt.

Well, he wouldn't normally move this fast, either. But the drug in his system lowered his ability to think before he acts. He loosens her grip on his shirt, breaking the kiss just long enough to pull it over his head. He doesn't really pay attention to where it lands. He's far more interested in her and what she tastes and feels like. His mouth returns to hers, one hand slipping under her shirt.

Anna takes a moment to appreciate the very shirtless Eliot in front of her before her attention returns to kissing him and the hand slipping under her shirt. Her stomach contracts in response to his fingers, a soft whimper following; needy, wanting, growing impatient.

Taking initiative, she breaks away just enough to remove her t-shirt and toss it aside before she straddles Eliot's lap and peppers kisses along his jaw until she reaches his neck.

He moans happily as she straddles him, responding quickly to the woman in his lap. He kisses up her jaw and then sucks lightly on her earlobe. His hand comes up to cup her breast while the other reaches around to unfasten her bra. He's beyond thought, just lost in the sensations and pleasure of the moment.

Anna's body has its fair share of scars for an average detective, most noticably the one marring her spine. Her body shudders reflexively as Eliot's fingers brush the scar on the way to unfasten her bra but she quickly recovers and forgets all about it when Eliot's lips brush across her jaw.

She helps him with the bra, tossing it aside and then pressing herself to his chest.
