On the morning of February 14th when the Tributes come down for breakfast they're greeted by an impressive holiday themed spread. Pink and red baked goods, chocolates shaped like hearts, beautiful red and pink flowers, adorable stuffed animals all line the table.

On the table is also a sign in cursive that reads:

To our beloved Tributes, Victors, Mentors, Escorts and Stylists. Enjoy your holiday. -- Bartlett Industries

Most of the sweets are completely harmless, but if the Tributes taste the chocolate covered cherries or caramels they find themselves suddenly acting very strangely...

Cinna still felt awkward around Darius after that moment with his tablet. It had been a lot to ask of an Avox. This probably was too, but he couldn't help it. Maybe the alien Tributes were getting to him but it was getting harder and harder to ignore he servants in the suite.

"Chocolate?" he asked Darius, offering one to him.

[peacekeeperavox]

He raised his brows at the stylist, with a look that was utterly bland, devoid of any expectation except for clarification.

"Do you want one?" Cinna asked. "You don't have to eat it here. You can save it for your meal time." Even an Avox had one of those.

Unsure, he took it, with a stillness that anyone who's ever met a beaten dog would recognize.

Cinna gave him a soft, encouraging smile and then pulled away. He'd leave him with that, not wanting to push any more than he already had.
