One // He’s just a bit of a fixer-upper

Who; Kristoff and Open, with parts for Elsa, Anna and Hans
What; Kristoff has arrived and technology is baffling also finding out who is here.
Where; The tribute center
When; Backdated to 7/31
Warnings/Notes; N/A?

He should have kicked up more of a fuss he thinks now. Sure, those white knights had seemed pretty threatening, definitely not people to mess with but now Kristoff is feeling a little ashamed of himself. Who knows, maybe he could have taken them and found his way out. But then there's the question of where he even is, Panem not a country he's ever heard of. It can't be that far from Arendelle though, he almost certain he wasn't out for that long. But it's such a strange place, and not just for this whole supposedly fight to the death business.

He leaves his communicator behind in the room they've given him, determined to get so actual answers that make sense. But it's only shortly into this all that he starts getting confused, the technology far beyond what he's used to. He pauses in the common area of District 2 to stare at the screens, jumping slightly when the screens start to move and. Oh. Oh, that was someone dying, he's sure of it even if the screen has moved on. Carefully he takes a step back, looking uneasy as he leaves.

And he spends the day wandering, looking around with a sort of confused amazement. Eventually he manages to get the courage to dash onto the elevator when another person gets in, though he's clearly out of his element, grip on the bar along the side tight. This is so very strange, and though he'd be loathe to admit it, it's terrifying.

Another notable place he can be found is the kitchen. It was an accident really, he had just pressed the little leaver on the silver box out of curiosity, jumping when the light clicked on and a whirring sound came out. But then, a little cube of ice falls out, and just to test it, Kristoff presses the lever again. And then he holds it down, ice dropping rapidly, bouncing off his hand to scatter across the floor, and yeah he is grinning a little, clearly excited by this at least. At least he is, until the ice runs out, Kristoff looking confused as he presses the button a few more times.

Anyone care to clue a technologically impaired kid in?

Often, Hans wonders how long it will be until they bring in Kristoff. The Capitol primes them for personal drama, and what could be more dramatic than bringing in the New Man in Anna's life? It's an insufferable triangle he'd dearly love to be without whilst he also vehemently denies any part of him that feels like he might miss either of the Arendelle sisters. It's better this way, he's freer this way.

Or he was, at least. He watches Kristoff approach and he stops in his tracks, glancing idly behind him as if weighing the pros and cons of dashing off. There's only so long he can avoid this altercation without drawing suspicion, so he holds his ground.

"If you intend on hitting me, you should know that they observe us." He gestures a hand upward. "Should they feel the need to intervene in a fight, they won't hesitate to punish us both, and you've got more to lose from that." He's bringing out the big guns fast, but he wants to nip this in the bud before he winds up with an ugly bruise.

"They might." He gives his shoulders a graceful shrug, but he doesn't look particularly worried. "They know me better than you, that and I'm a victor and a mentor, of course. Titles mean so much more around here." He tries to keep the sharp edge of his voice hidden when he talks, considering he has no idea who could be listening in.

"I have no interest in either of them." He says curtly, the sharp edge finding it's way back regardless of how much he tries to hide it. "And I have no interest in you, for that matter. It was a bold move charging up to me as if you have any real idea how life works here, if you're always that brash you'll be nothing more than a danger to both of them." He glances boredly to the side, as if he doesn't feel any attachment to the conversation.

Hans feels indignant already, he doesn't like being told what to do by a low-life like Kristoff. It makes his temper flare ever so slightly, but he needs to keep his cool to have the upper hand. He resists the urge to roll his eyes and instead just gives the bigger man a flat look for his trouble.

"It would be my pleasure, no, my honor to avoid all of you. Honestly. All of you are far more trouble than you're worth." He's a little more scathing than he should be, but he can't help himself. "Is that all you wanted to hear?"

Kristoff played his cards too early for someone like Hans, but he expect no less. He knew exactly what the other man wanted when he charged up to him like that. It does his pride damage to give it to him so willingly, but he'll be better for it. Better to rip that bandage off now than face the consequences of being needlessly stubborn later.

"Only time can tell." He says agreeably, knowing his compliance isn't what Kristoff necessarily wants. He won't waste time selling Kristoff a story he won't believe, but he will draw himself up ever so slightly at that motion to move. He turns his nose up just that little bit as he turns, still tense and wary over the possibility of something like a shoulder grab or sneak attack. Well. As sneaky as Kristoff gets, anyway.
