WHO| Don&Plutarch, Riddick&Lilium, Max&Elias, and Anna&Nathaniel
WHAT| Scoping them out for rebellion potential.
WHERE| Various locations
WHEN| About a week before the new arena.
WARNINGS/NOTES| This is our first time doing this. Forgive any mistakes. Also this is not a promise you will get into the Rebellion. And if you fail, it is not a promise you will never get in. There will be a thread for each of the pairing, set up by the NPC half (it may take a day or two for your NPC to get up a thread)
Whispers of a rebellion could be heard, even if you didn't know where to look. Many lived blissfully in ignorance, of course. But it didn't take a lot to realize that, when you killed people's children, they tended not to be happy with you.
But whispers of a rebellion and an actual rebellion were very different things.

Especially one happening right here, in the middle of the city. That was unheard of.

But nevermind that.
"Look," she says, smiling with what she hoped was an air of patience. "what is it do you want from me, exactly?"
no subject
He knew she had a lot of potential, but even if he wanted to just lay it all out, it wasn't allowed. And really, he didn't know her well enough to trust her with it all without the proper investigation, anyway.
no subject
But she's curious enough to resolve to be patient. Or at least try to be patient.
"Okay." she says, still giving him a suspicious look. It wouldn't do to appear immediately conciliatory. "So...why here, then? I mean...were you looking to spar, or something?"

Hopefully, that would get her on the same page as him. He glanced around, watching a tribute practice with an ax. Wondering if that one belonged to Johanna.
"It's hard to find a place around here where you can talk freely."

Max makes the remark off-handedly. Maybe this is a test, to see if she is foolish enough to make controversial statements in the middle of one of the potentially most monitored areas in the city.

"It's busy here, it's loud, and it's not strange for us to stand together and talk."
no subject
She smiles at him.

He watched a tribute struggled with a spear, considering where to pick back up. These questions felt awkward and obvious in his mouth.
"What would you change, right now? Besides going home."
no subject
"What are you doing, shopping for new avoxes?"
But after a moment, she admits, "They're doing something to suppress my transgenic abilities. I want them back."
no subject
"What abilities are those?"
Not on the script, but possibly of interest.

"Enhanced physical capabilities. Strength, speed, stamina, dexterity. My immune system was peaked, I had regenerative capabilities, highly enhanced eye sight. My blood can even heal people if I allow it to be transfused. Everything about me was," she searches for a word, "Better. There are some side effects, but I can usually keep them under control, and here, they're worth the risk."
no subject
She looked human, but...looks could be deceiving, clearly. It seemed, from the way she talked about it, to not be a natural change.

"This was...another time line obviously, but before the dark days?"
no subject
Because she expects he'll ask, she explains, "A bunch of terrorists deployed an EMP over the United States - what Panem used to be called. Destroyed most of the computer networks and communication systems. Society kinda crumbled and it all went downhill from there."
no subject
It wasn't a very lucky place. He sighed, looking over at Max. hew was glad to have talked to her, he had some interesting things to bring back...but this would have to wait for another day.
"I should get back to my Tributes. I'll see you?"
