Who| Guy and any of his CR, his district mates if they're hanging around, or any acquaintance that would be willing to stop by after seeing this
What| Guy invites his friends to watch his expose with him so he can pretend it doesn't bother him. There are tiny sandwiches and bubbly drinks
Where| The District 6 Common area
When| Present
Warnings/Notes| DRAMA and scary stuff at the end of it.
Everyone who was coming was probably already there, so Guy climbed up on one of the armchairs and stood there as if presenting a speech.
"Okay, okay, so - preemptively, I just wanna say thank you for being here on this auspicious day. I just know the Capitol is going to present my life story masterfully, with sensitivity and grace, and I wanted you here with me while experiencing the joy that is me."
The sarcasm was thick enough that if there'd been a pit full of it, it would've trapped many animals so that scientists could study their bones thousands of years later. So many animals.
"Ah, there's probably going to be a part around the beginning where I have to cover my eyes. If I have to do that, can somebody prod me when it's over?" His face went a little more sincere. "Seriously, though, thanks. I do really appreciate you being here." He raised his eyebrows slightly as if mentally preparing himself for what was to come. "I have no idea how this is going to go, so..."
He needed this. He needed to treat it like there would be a scary part of the story where he'd cringe, that would be over quickly, and he needed to try to laugh the rest of it off. It might not work, it depended on how bad it really was going to be, but he wanted to at least try, and that was a lot easier with friends than trying to do it alone.

"So. Tell me where you got those scar marks, and I'll tell you where I got mine."

Dammit. After she hadn't brought it up at the museum, he thought he was in the clear.
He sighed.
"Azula came to throw something in my face and was cackling over it, I got mad so I insulted her because she's a terrible sadist, then she kicked me into the fire I was making in the training center."

"You don't say," Mindy said, suppressing anger. She COULD do that, of course, when she needed to, and she was doing that right now. "She got punished for that, right? I don't think you're allowed to do shit like that outside of the games."

He shrugged.
"They'll go away. I'll probably die again next arena anyway."
Then he'd either be dead and it wouldn't matter or brought back without them.

She glowered. "Dude, come on, shut up. I don't want you dying again, especially how you did the last time."

People were harder to beat than animals.
Besides, he still was worried about the other shoe dropping with Penny. That might make everything moot anyway.

Damn him, she did not WANT him to die.
"I could help. Don't fucking resign yourself to dying so quick, ok?"

He didn't know the names of any martial arts, what many weapons were called or how they were used...
no subject
In case that wasn't clear enough.

He hadn't got any kills in the mini-arena but that was because it was better to work cooperatively and he wasn't willing to kill a friend. And he hadn't got in any in the last arena before that but that was because he'd been very good at hiding during most of it.
His first arena he'd killed Mindy, R, half-killed Azula (she'd have died from the poison if she hadn't blown up) and almost had killed a few others before backing down and realizing they were victims.
"It's the skill involved in killing them, that's the part I need to learn." Most of the people I've ever killed were cavemen, which meant they were strong but not very smart, and occasionally really hungry, paranoid people, who, again, are not always the smartest."

Consider that a compliment.
"Training room then. That'll be our start. When we want something new, I'll get inventive. I'm not gonna go easy on you though. I'm serious about wanting you to win."
