Thicker Than Blood Start

For Tributes with keen eyes, they'll notice that Peacekeeper presence seems increased and yet infinitely more ineffective in the last few weeks. Peacekeepers seem harried, as do the Stylists, and most of the Escorts titter and plot without alerting the Tributes as to what, exactly, is so exciting. They simply say that this weekend they'll know.

And so it happens that on the weekend in question, the Tributes are woken by their Escorts early and brought to a restaurant for a hearty breakfast. The restaurant is nothing spectacular, although they seem to be trying to make an impression on the television cameras that float around. The sleepy, cranky meal goes by and then the Tributes are led back to their Suites for a mandatory meeting.

Sitting on couches and the floor, in chairs and on windowsills, standing off to the side - people from the Tributes' homes are waiting to greet them in each District Suite. Some are confused, some accepting, some frightened and some elated to see their beloved. Either way, it should be an eventful reunion.

leaps in with another brother!

Younger brother Bjørn seemed much less enthused about the whole thing, stuffing his face with hors d'oeuvres and pouting the entire time.

"I don't understand why we had to do this today," he whined, staring dejectedly at a piece of salami in the shape of a flower. "I wanted to go shopping today. I had plans. This is all very inconvenient."

At least Ronald was here to keep him company. Sure, there was a bit of an age gap between them, but he still counted on their familial bond to serve them both while in this terribly poorly timed nightmare.

Ah...right. Well there was this little detail.

Well as far as brothers went he could do worse then to get stuck with Bjorn.

"We all make sacrifices brother." He smirked reaching for a glass of something fizzy and green.

"Besides look out at the city below. Surely there's somewhere in that sea of color we can take you shopping. We just need to acquire the funds. Or someone willing to pay for you."

Of course Ronald was in favor of the former, he had no qualms about helping himself to other peoples things, he was a guest after all and felt they should do their best to please him as such.

Bjørn couldn't help but whine a little longer, flailing with mounting indignation. He could find himself someone to payroll his expenses, but that still meant he'd have to work at finding himself said sugarmama (or daddy). Huffing, he stuffed the salami into his mouth and continued to talk, "But how can we do that?"

Having only recently left the funfest that is a Capitol surprise, the titterings of excitement and hints don't go amiss to Hans. He's bracing himself for the impact, but he's still coasting on that victor glory he loves so much. The staff may be tittering, but so long as they're still praising him he feels as if he can keep his suspicions on the down low.

It's finally hitting the point of no return when they're dragged out of bed for a breakfast that is far less appealing than anything the Capitol has provided him food wise before. Perhaps his tiredness is tainting his view, but it's more than likely the fact that he doesn't trust this one bit.

Of course, once they're backing into their suites for this "special meeting" he finds himself particularly glad he didn't indulge in the lackluster breakfast ensemble. If there were ever a pair of faces he hoped never to see again, he's seeing them now. Granted, there are ten other faces alongside those that he could live without, but his vitriol is pointedly focused. The fear that more of them could be around the corner is present, but not priority.

"No." It escapes his lips before he can stop it. His mind repeats it like a petulant brat. No no no, this is his moment. This is his place. He's earned his stripes here, the idea that these buffoons are already indulging in his food in his new home just sickens him, utterly and completely. He just stands there, staring at them, fists balled at his sides to complete the toddler look.

"Well I guess I've got some thoughts on that-" He began ready to suggest some rather foul thoughts to get Bjorn to shut up. But then he became aware of a new face in the room. An all too familiar one and he smirked wickedly.

"Well, well, well look who it is. The runt of the litter finally sees fit to show up and greet his brothers." He chuckled.

"Took you long enough, but then again I guess we can't expect much better huh?"

Bjørn was quick to drop his own tantrum in favor of falling in line with Ronald and pouncing on Hans. It was only proper. That's what brothers did.

"Hello, Hans," Bjørn cooed, sauntering up to his youngest brother. Either he hadn't noticed Hans' displeasure or he didn't care. "Aren't you going to welcome us and introduce us to all of these bizarre looking people?"

so sorry for being so slow! :c

It's funny how barely a few seconds with his brothers reminds him exactly why he hates them. Not that he missed them for a second, not one bit. It's just weird and quiet without them. It's really damn weird not being pranked or pestered or outright ignored for no reason, he'd dearly like to keep it that way too.

"I was here before either of you." It's his toy. His his his. "Oh please, as if I'd be falling over myself to see either of you." He'll even pointedly turn his nose up. "I have better things to do than introduce you- and besides! I like everyone here far too much to wish you on them." Not entirely true, but if they think he wants them to talk to someone else he'll only feel a little jealous.

no worries

Ronald chuckled that annoying, condescending chuckle he had and slid to his feet standing up tall and broad shouldered.

"You may like them better then us, but I wonder how long it'll be before they like us better then you?"

He leaned closer and blew hot breath from his nose into Han's face.

"Just like everyone back home. Whattya figure Bjorn?"

Bjørn laughed, falling right in line with their older brother. It was to be expected, why side with the younger, weaker sibling when the bigger, older one was encouraging naughty behavior?

"Don't be such a brat, Hans. You must remember how to share." His smile was almost sinister, if he wasn't so ridiculous looking. "We're family. You can't turn your back on us."

When both of them make their approach, Hans does his best to puff his chest out and ooze manly pride or whatever it is very tall people have in them. Unfortunately, a whiff of that breath is enough to have him taking a step back. Totally not intimidated, nope. Just grossed out, yep.

"They'd have to be out of their minds to fawn over either of you! You're both insufferable." Only he's not entirely confident the Capitol isn't a little bit out of its mind. But that's irrelevant. "Everyone back home is deluded, family included." He sniffs, trying not to have the ultimate tantrum he can feel himself on the brink of. "It's a little bit late for a life lesson from either of you, so if you don't mind I'd be happy to let you share a trip down the stairs." He puffs up again, but there's a little voice in his head telling him that was a damn stupid thing to say.

A wicked grin crosses Ronald's features.

"That's a great idea!" He declared and clapped a crushing hand on Hans shoulder.

"Right down the stairs and out into the public. Let's go meet all those people who "Love" our little brother so much." The air quotes he made with his free hand was completely unnecessary given his tone of voice but he enjoyed it.

"Of course it's hard to imagine they'd like you that much Hans, after all you did just call our loving, caring mother deluded." He cast a glance over Han's head.

"Oh and here she comes now! Mother!" He waved at the empty space behind Hans where he was pretending she was coming from.
