And there they brew a beer so brown;
Who | District 7 and YOU!
What | A proper dwarven party! AKA lots of food, alcohol, and noise.
When | Saturday evening, Week 7.
Where | District 7 Suites
Warnings | None atm. Will update if needed!
Notes | Kili will be trying to grab people from the elevator to join in, if you need a reason for your character to be there! Otherwise just hop in and tag around!
Throughout most of the day, Kili can be found wandering about the suites, but particularly between the living room and the dining area, picking up chairs and settling them around the table until it seems there’s enough for a small army of people to sit near the table. He can also be seen whispering to avoxes and making requests left and right for this or that. The words ‘keg’ and ‘pipeweed’ are thrown around entirely too much for a single dwarf, but with all of his other activity, it may be a welcome relief from his established routine of moping during the day and getting positively blitzed at night.
As afternoon progresses into evening, Kili’s energy level only seems to rise as he ducks in and out of his room to check on preparations and as soon as the first dish is brought in, he’ll be darting from room to room toannoy gather his district mates to come join him at the table.
Kili has, in true dwarven fashion, not only requested one dish to be served but enough food to cover the table. By the end of the procession of avoxes, the tables is literally covered with meats, cheeses, vegetables, gravies, puddings, biscuits, and so much more. On the counter of the kitchen are two kegs of beer, which Kili has decided is simply not enough, and several bottles of various wines. Kili himself is seated near the head, eagerly looking about, or near the elevator, pressing the button and trying to corral any he finds inside the magic steel carriage to join in. Other times, he will be filling steins and trying to press them into the hands of those nearest, encouraging them to drink and be merry in his effort to recreate the atmosphere of a proper dwarven gathering.
Soon enough, though, he’ll settle back down into his seat, grabbing at bits of food and meat as he makes easy conversation with any he sees. He hopes that the party will pick up, that having a host of people will make him feel less homesick. In fact, he will certainly contribute a few songs of his own and exciting stories about trolls and dragons and mountains of gold.

Thankfully, he turns the music off when Kili prompts him into the common area (it would have be "drags him" but as soon as Justin saw the table creaking with food, he came willingly).
Currently, the teenage priest is observing the gathering, eating an amount of food that brings to mind every comment ever made about teenage boys eating everything, and occasionally sipping from his glass of wine.
With some prompting (and a refill of that glass) he might be willing to tell some impressive stories of his own. But it's more likely someone will corner him to try and discuss whatever was clearly up with Justin this last arena.

He also hasn't watched as many Arena replays as he should have, but...After coming back, after seeing more of his life outside of Panem, watching people die again and again is the last thing he wants to see. He saw enough of that outside of Wall Maria. If he had, he probably wouldn't have drifted so close to Justin, but so far he is quiet and he doesn't seem as out of place as Eren, and maybe that is something that will rub off if Eren stands close enough.
That is also probably the most improbable thing that could happen, because Eren has about as many social graces as a titan. Justin is also probably the worst choice he could choose, but trying to emulate him is creepier than just saying hi, so that's exactly what he'll do.
"...Hello."
Maybe, if he's lucky, he'll get an alliance out of this.
no subject
"Ah, hello. You are Eren, correct?"
Justin's not so much of a loner that he's neglected to learn the names of his districtmates. He smiles politely, and waits to see if the other boy has something interesting to say.

He pauses, squinting at him. He...doesn't have the slightest clue what his name is. Something...that begins with a J? Maybe? He has no idea.
He shoves a roll into his face, using the time spent chewing to come up with something to say. He can do this. He can be personable.
"Were you a fighter back home?"
Nailed it.
no subject
"I was. Were you?"
no subject
One of them does not happen to be volume control, unfortunately.
"I was a soldier. The war were were in was nothing like-" he waves a hand, grimacing. "Nothing like anything that happens here."
And because clearly they have something in common, he should trundle along on this topic. "Were the fights you were in like this?"
no subject
"No, not at all. I am used to far more dangerous opponents than untrained humans."

open to anyone who wants to chat up Joel and Ellie!
So he lets her.
He minds even less when they stop off at the District 7 suites, when the smell of food is nearly overpowering. It sets Joel's mouth watering and he blinks at the spread. She said she has a friend here who's a dwarf. Maybe this is his doing.
no subject
"Yo, Kili!" She calls out, loudly, as she looks around for him, dragging Joel along behind her. "Where are you, I want you to meet Joel!"
no subject
"Ellie!" He calls back as he finally manages to push through another couple of people, three tankards in his hands.
Noticing Joel, he gives a short little bow, "Kili, at your service."
no subject
"Uh, Joel," he says, suddenly awkward. Does he expect him to bow, too? He's mostly just here for the food and beer. "So you and Ellie made friends, huh?"
no subject
"Yeah, we met in the arena," She says, happy just that Kili came back. "One of those for me?"
no subject
"One for each of you if you like." Well, more like he's pushing them their way despite their answer. He just wants everyone to smile and have a good time, even if it's in a very inebriated state.
no subject
"Did you just hand a mug of beer to a fourteen-year-old kid?" he asks somewhat sternly.

She wrinkled her nose at the food and the people. A party? Why had he been attacking people to bring them to a party? It made no sense. She found a place to stand, back to the wall where she could see the room, scanning it for any dangers, or any evidence of this being a trick, duck quacked and she shushed him.

Doobie or Pruna or whatever the fuck she was called, evidently.
Karkat rolls his eyes. "What the fuck are you and the quackbeast doing here, Doobie? This isn't your District."
no subject
"This do no be being your district either, tiny horns."

roughly 4 million years late
She wasn't really expecting a party, and she especially wasn't expecting an enjoyable party. The ones around here didn't ususally seem to be here style.
This? Well, it wasn't exactly something she'd tried before, but hell if it didn't look fun. Nothing that seemed to be mainly beer and meat could ever be too awful. She's pulled off the elevator with a laugh, looking around at her new buddies.
Why wasn't she in this district?
that's okay!
Re: that's okay!
"Of course I want an ale. Who doesn't?"
no subject
He's glad, though, that someone shares his sentiment about beer, even if it's so small as agreeing with the course. Not everyone is enjoying the party, after all.

She took one of the offered ales, throwing back a long, hearty drink of it, and coming up with a huff of satisfaction. It was heady, and strong, but damn good, and she nodded in approval and she wiped at her mouth.
"Damn good stuff." Sticking out her hand, she grinned. "I'm De."
