Who| Kankri Vantas & OPEN
What| Settling in, meeting new people
Where| District 5 apartments at first, then generally exploring around the Tributes' area
When| Just after his arrival, some days after Enjolras' crowning
Warnings/Notes| Warning for Kankri being his annoying self, pretty much. Also, his first chronological threads will be with Claudia and the Initiate, but beyond that timing will pretty much be in the order of tagging.
Really, Kankri found the entire concept of this place absolutely deplorable. He would have no part of it. But until he could find some way to escape his captors, it wouldn't hurt to familiarize himself with the layout of the place. And also to find something to eat, he was quite famished at the moment.
He started in the suite of the district he'd been assigned and herded to like cattle, of course, but soon enough he was meandering all through the building, taking note of its occupants and features with various degrees of disapproval. He wasn't entirely sure of how to approach anyone yet, but he supposed it wouldn't hurt to try for the sake of information.

He sighs, shaking his head. "I confess I have some trouble comprehending the idea that this would be...natural. I know death comes to everyone, but usually not...multiple times." He sounds more scared and tired than judgmental for once.

Venus gestures with her book. "Yeah, he won and he's not too happy about it. If you don't mind, be gentle with him? I mean, you're just getting into the swing of this and he's having a big life adjustment, so kindness is key, let's not rock the boat, everyone goes home happy, yada yada."
She may be a bit protective of Enjolras. Not like she'd ever say any of that in front of him.

Kankri blinks - then nods. "Of course. I wouldn't be happy at succeeding in a cruel game that compromised my morals, so I understand. Are you friends?"
It's a strange (but encouraging) thought, that people could make friends here despite everything.

She cracks her neck and decides to brush it off. She isn't good at holding grudges. "You could say that. He's good people."

Interesting.
Venus rests her fingertips on her lips. "I think he's the sort of person who might paint cats. And he needs to learn to use his indoor voice like no one's business."

That's putting it lightly. Still, he can hardly blame anyone for being distressed in this situation. He himself isn't taking it so well.

Venus is possessive about her food, a'ight. She only just got tastebuds back for the first time in nine years. She wants her damn mango-flavored yogurts.

She doesn't seem to notice how quickly she's changed subjects.

"No," he replies after a moment of processing the question. "Beforus is- was, very strictly a peaceful culture, and due to my mutation I was raised in a very sheltered fashion. Even if that weren't the case, I'm quite strictly opposed to hurting others. I have no intention of killing anyone in this game our hosts have concocted."

He sounds pretty glum. He is pretty glum, everything about this is awful.
