Suspects' Holding Cell

The vans drive for what seems like an hour before they come to a stop, and Peacekeepers blindfold and forcefully drag even the most cooperative suspects into a building.

The suspects are all held in one cell, a large, metal room with a thick door and a single ledge that serves as a bench. Bright fluorescent lights beam from overhead. There are no windows and no clocks, no sign of where they might be.

The Peacekeepers take off the blindfolds, though without much care for whether they come off all the way or chafe or stay slung around the suspects' necks. The suspects' hands are left cuffed behind their backs, and even the most ingenious of them won't be able to pick the lock on their restraints, but they're otherwise left to roam freely through the space.

Suspects are removed, one at a time, at unpredictable intervals, by Peacekeepers armed with tasers. Some take three hours to return, while others are back within only a minute. Each of them comes back having been clearly roughed up and pressed for information that they may or may not hold; some are bleeding or sporting the beginnings of black eyes.

They'll be sleeping here tonight.

blah blah void blah blah spiders blah blah science [open]

Who| Carlos and anyone
What| Since Carlos's survival hinges on his ability to act like he doesn't care, he's going about his business as usual. Even though he and Cecil had a very short-lived but very public romantic relationship, he's acting like he doesn't care. Come make his life harder. Come ask him how he feels.
Where| The D10 rooms, a coffeeshop, and the Speakeasy
When| After Penny and Cruentus's classy, classy announcement.
Warnings/Notes Possible mention of torture, drinking in the last prompt. Also, the first two prompts will involve Carlos denying any real feelings for Cecil. If you want an honest discussion with him, it'll have to be in the Speakeasy.

Until You Come Back to Me

Who| Nasir and Open
What| Nasir thinks Agron might be dead. He also potentially lost his two friends here. He's going to do a lot of lip wibbling about it.
Where| District 2 Suite, Commons
When| Throughout week 6, after Nasir dies
Warnings/Notes| Grief, wanting to burn down the whole Capitol, language.

The introspection you probably don't care about. )

The District 2 Suite, the first few days

It was some time before Nasir could collect himself and when he did, he couldn't force himself to do much. He didn't leave his room most of the time. When he did, it was only to eat. He would sit at the table for meals. For someone who had gone for years with barely enough to fill his stomach (and sometimes none at all), one would think he would have a greater appetite but he had lost it. This time he sat, stared at the food, and then pushed it away.

The Commons, after the anonymous post

Days after he'd woken, Nasir had learned more under the guise of anonymity. He didn't know if he could trust it but he wanted to because then that meant that Agron was alive. Worry still ate at him. Agron did not hold much sense. He could easily-- so easily-- provoke the Peacekeepers into killing him. Nasir had more faith in his brother but Agron? A part of him felt guilty for admitting it, but he cared far more for him.

That made it even more important to find this Etienne Combeferre as he'd been told. If it was a trap then it was a trap. He would live with the consequences and beg that Agron and Faizan not be harmed.

So he approached any of the Tributes he recognized, nodding when they looked his way to catch their attention. Words seemed to stick in his throat but he would have to find them.

Rebel Rebel, your face is a mess

Who| Elias and Open (with guidelines below in notes)
What| Elias getting to know those the Rebellion might want to court.
Where| The Speakeasy.
When| Evenings and late nights spread across several weeks.
Warnings/Notes| You would only have the chance to meet Elias if you had shown obvious, observable pro-rebellion tendencies. He will not approach anyone he's not sure of. If that happened, you might notice people around you letting you know you should maybe check out the Speakeasy, maybe, just try it, go.

The man seemed very unassuming, another done up Capitol fop with lop sided hair covering half his face, and ridiculously heavy makeup. In another time and place, he would have stuck out like a sore thumb, but here he was the norm.He moved around the club, never staying still too long, and never getting caught in a conversation for long.

He was trying not to be noticed. And he was good at it. He was on the hunt for those that had shown they might be of interest to the rebellion.

The list was growing, and he was becoming frustrated with having his hands tied, locked to this local.

Luckily he had some cohorts out, to suggest this place, and drive those he wanted to meet here.

Rainbow Bridge to Murder Realm

Who| Thor Odinson and ALL
What| Thor's arrival, standard arrival things. Helping the masses and all that jazz.
Where| District 2, The Roof and the commons. Prompts will be posted in individual comments after a little rambly introspection about arriving.
When| 10/5
Warnings/Notes| Angry, angry Asgardians.

It was probably a little too optimistic to assume it would be clear sailing from here on out for Thor. It had been a rocky few days, last he remembered. The loss of his most beloved mother and his.. somewhat estranged but uncannily redeemed brother, weighs heavily on his mind. It isn't a burden a little vacation to Midgard could ever ease, but time with Jane does make for one hell of a coping mechanism. Life had taken interesting turns from his initial plans to rule Asgard indefinitely, but but he can say with certainty it was all for the better. With some important exceptions, of course. When one's growth comes at the sacrifice of others, you cannot help but question the worth of it.

Arriving in what he can easily assume is a faction of Midgardian he has yet to discover without his consent isn't anything new to him, but it is deeply unsettling. He had listened intently to what he had been taught, and he had fought it, only to be sedated again and roused a few hours later. He's groggier than any amount of coffee can account for, but it doesn't take long for him to sober up to the hard facts. This is an atrocity, but his first concerns are not for himself, but for who else could be here.

With that in mind, it doesn't take him long to stretch his legs and take a spin around the dorms. He is doing his best to control his temper until he finds someone truly deserving of being lashed out at, but his buttons are damn easy to push.

The Family Mock Arena

That morning, all the Tributes and their visitors are roused early by Escorts, Stylists and gaggles of "fashion interns", all of whom appear to be vying for the attention of the head Stylists more than their assigned competitors. Everyone's dressed in frilly outfits, all ruffs and bustles, and then ushered out to the helicopters that will take them to the nearest Arena.

The Escorts, even though many of them aren't terribly good at looking concerned for their Tributes' well-being, seem even less bothered than usual, and reassure everyone that this Arena is "just for fun" and "won't last long". The Tributes and their visitors are led to the tubes to their pedestals.

"The goal is to be the last one hit," the Escorts say, and the Stylists fuss over how they should take care of their clothes in the Arena.

The Arena appears to be a baseball diamond, and the Cornucopia lies at the batter's cage. There are no supplies, but weapons include marshmallow guns and plastic pool noodles. Both marshmallows and pool noodles are covered in wet glittery paint. The Arena's confines extend up into the bleachers, but otherwise it's a relatively straightforward and uncluttered playing field.

If any Tribute or visitor steps off the platform before the end of the countdown, they'll be sprayed with confetti and sequins. The countdown begins, a cheery, chiming voice reading out numbers like a kindergarten teacher.

"Three...two...one...go!"

Thicker Than Blood Start

For Tributes with keen eyes, they'll notice that Peacekeeper presence seems increased and yet infinitely more ineffective in the last few weeks. Peacekeepers seem harried, as do the Stylists, and most of the Escorts titter and plot without alerting the Tributes as to what, exactly, is so exciting. They simply say that this weekend they'll know.

And so it happens that on the weekend in question, the Tributes are woken by their Escorts early and brought to a restaurant for a hearty breakfast. The restaurant is nothing spectacular, although they seem to be trying to make an impression on the television cameras that float around. The sleepy, cranky meal goes by and then the Tributes are led back to their Suites for a mandatory meeting.

Sitting on couches and the floor, in chairs and on windowsills, standing off to the side - people from the Tributes' homes are waiting to greet them in each District Suite. Some are confused, some accepting, some frightened and some elated to see their beloved. Either way, it should be an eventful reunion.

The Crowning of Mindy McReady

Who| Everyone who's anyone.
What| The Crowning.
Where| A warehouse on the edge of town.
When| Starting from early evening till late into the night.
Warnings/Notes| Be sure to check the linked thread for plot purposes, even if you don't tag into it.

The party is brightly colored.

The theme, subtly, is super heroes. Boldly paints city scapes are splattered across the walls, and hallways are made to look like dingy, potentially crime ridden alleys. From the upper walkways of the warehouse, party goers can get hooked into harnesses and swing out over the dance floor. Above them, tributes and VIPS can find themselves on a clear plastic dance floor levitated above everything, looking like they're hanging in air.

Masks are passed out in plenty, and capes are easy to find, while brightly colored drinks themed around super powers are plentiful. None of them actually work, but many of the Capitol people are happy to pretend, mocking super strength or invisibility with each new beverage.

Under the dance floor a catacomb of tunnels and rooms full of obstacles is splashed with black light receptive colors. Party goers are given vests and laser guns, marked green for villains and red for heros, and set loose to hunt each other in the laser tags playground. The screens in the dance floor keep a running tally of which side is winning, displaying the players on the screens around the room, along with clips from the arenas.

About half way through the night, everyone is gathered to the main stage for a special announcement.
