COMBAT B

Who| Combat B
What| Alien attack
Where| The neighborhood under attack.
Warnings/Notes| Please post any warning in your threads subject header when they become applicable. Please shot any questions/concerns to mod through PM. Here is the plotting post for reference.

This group is sent into the neighborhood directly from the training center.

The neighborhood, like many in the Capitol, is comprised up tightly packed town house like residential buildings, as well as smatterings of boutique like stores gathered around large intersections. All of them have been entirely cleared out, except for the stray animal here and there.

The aliens here are full grown adults, and they are viciously (do they do it any other way?) defending the queen and her nest.

There was a long exhale, Wyatt glancing back over his shoulder at his strange floating teammate and then over at Ian as his mouth thinned.

But his hand fell away from his ear - and the headset, leaving it in place as he was told.

"Fine, Doc." He shifted the weight of the rifle in his arms, the gun strangely compact and heavy compared to what his memory told him a one should be. "As it seems we got some time on our hands, how's 'bout ya fill the rest of us in?"

If they were going to play this game, best make sure they were all using the same deck.

"He can read the future, some kind of fucking psycic ability." Ian muttered not caring that Sigma could hear him, he had promised to follow orders, not to be nice about it.

He stared at the gun he was holding, "He's right though, communication is key, not just to talk to those with the information but also each other if we get seperated."

"I didn't know humanth could be thychic." He really didn't, but that isn't all that surprising considering just how little effort he puts into understanding the species and talking with his other tributes. He casts a glance over at Ian, shrugging his bony shoulders. "And if we get theperated, our priority would thtill remain the thame, wouldn't it? Kill the alienth and try not to de in some horrible, bloody failure of a death?"

(He wants to ask what a "doc" is, but he knows well enough that this isn't the time or place to be asking about linguistics or whatever.)

"Intel to team 7."

Suddenly, the voice on the radio crackles to life. It is decidedly not Sigma, in any way, shape of form.

"I would suspect your priority would remain the same, regardless of team numbers. But you would stand a better chance not separating. Alone, you would have absolutely no chance. Over."

Wyatt blinked at the strange new voice - someone else he hadn't met - then, with a helpless sort of head shake, he sighed and said, "Lady's got a point. Deck's already stacked against us, best not to give up the only advantage we got."

He glanced across at the empty buildings around them, windows like eyes, watching as they made their way along the street, then back at his teammates.

"Let's try to keep close, huh?"

Ian knew the second voice, Homura. He nodded at the others, "Priorities the same, chances of success aren't. Sticking together is for the best." He followed Wyatt, glancing at Psiioniic, they had only spoken once and he didn't think much of the troll. But they were teammates, they had to work together.

"Together it is then." Adelaide adjusted the flamethrower pack on her back, shifting the weight from one shoulder to the other. It honestly didn't matter terribly to her whether they stuck together or not- she had fire on her side and she worked better alone. But she was savvy enough to agree that being in a group was safer than going it alone.

"Now that that's agreed upon, we need a strategy."
