COMBAT A

Who| Combat group A
What| Alien attack
Where| The Tunnels and surrounding area at the edge of town.
Warnings/Notes| Please post any warning in your threads subject header when they become applicable. Please shot any questions/concerns to mod through PM. Here is the plotting post for reference.

A small amount of Peacekeeper leads the group on to vehicles, driving them to mouth of the tunnel.

It is a huge, dark thing, going straight back, with room for multiple trains at the same time. It is also pitch black.
Not far into the mouth of the tunnel, a maintenance track breaks off, to run parallel to the main track, it's self big enough to hold two trains.

And not far past that split, both tunnels begin to change. The walls and floors are coated with bio-matter, changing the environment. It becomes hot and humid, and a bit farther in, full of eggs. Some very close to hatching. And deeper within still can be found the queen, huge and vicious. Have fun!

"Right now, you are at 300 yards and closing to the nearest heat signature." From where she was, Homura flipped her hair. The ffff sound from it was faint on the radio. "Iskierka, please slow your movements. You are drifting from your teammates, over."

Dan watched her go out and then went after her, not wanting her to be totally alone. He hoped she would listen to the suggestion to slow down, but for now he wanted someone to have her back.

That and he wanted to show that he was just as ready for this combat as they were.

There's a soft huff of irritation at the request to slow down. Fortunately she's heard enough of people speaking up through strange devices to not be too concerned about the sound of voices coming from nowhere, but that doesn't change the fact that she finds the request to be unnecessary at the very least.

"I don't see why I should be made to slow down when they could just as easily speed up."

Still, she does slow a little. As much as she's pretty sure that she could be just fine on her own, she supposes someone has to make sure the others don't embarrass themselves too badly otherwise.
